The Best Man Plan(31)

“Then do it. Now. Not that I have a complaint about you rubbing against me. Because I like that part. I like all your parts, actually. One of your parts specifically. That needs to be in me. Did I mention now?”

She was making him crazy.

He rolled off of her and ripped open the drawer of his nightstand, fumbling around for the box of condoms he kept there. It took him a few seconds to find it, but he pulled out the box and grabbed a condom. He had it on in record time.

Erin was propped up on her side, her head resting on her hand as she watched him.

“That took forever. Now I’m out of the mood.”

He arched a brow. “Seriously?”

“No, of course not.” She laughed and held her arms out for him.

He blew out a breath. “Dammit, Erin. I was prepared to do math to get my hard-on to go away.”

“Now, why would we want to waste a glorious hard cock like that on math? Get over here.”

She really was trying to kill him. But as he looked at her, her beautiful raven hair spread out like midnight waves across his pillow, her knees raised and her legs spread in blatant invitation, he figured if he died now he’d be happy.

Okay, not completely happy because he hadn’t had her yet. So maybe dying could wait just a little longer.

He climbed between her legs and settled his body on top of hers, then slid inside of her, feeling all of her heat surrounding him. And when he kissed her, she wrapped her arms around him and locked her legs around his back, pulling him in deeper. Fully settled, he stilled and closed his eyes, absorbing the way her body convulsed around him in warmth.

“Mmm,” she said. “Now this is good.”

Yup. She was definitely going to kill him.

But then she lifted, and he met her with a thrust, and it was on, because this was what he’d waited a lifetime for and never thought he’d have. To have his face buried in her neck and inhale her fragrance, to feel her nails raking down his arms as he moved within her, and to hear those hot-as-fuck moaning sounds she made? It was all a rush, a high he didn’t want to come down from.

Their bodies were slick with sweat, sliding against each other as the pace quickened. He felt her restlessness peak as she tightened around him. He swept his hand under her butt and lifted her pelvis so he could grind against her.

“Oh,” she said. “Oh, Jason, yes. Right there.”

She spun out of control, convulsing around his cock as waves of climax made her cry out. She bit his shoulder and shuddered and he lost it right there, tilting his head back as he groaned, his orgasm like lightning bolts shooting through his body.

He rolled over to his side and took Erin with him, not wanting to let her go. He kissed her, their breaths mingling hot as passion still lingered between them. He left her to dispose of the condom, then went into the kitchen to grab two glasses of water. When he came back she had propped herself into a sitting position.

“Water?” he asked.

“Yes, thank you.”

He handed her a glass and stood at the side of the bed while he took several long gulps, then put the glass on the nightstand. Erin took a few sips and handed her glass to him. He climbed onto the bed next to her and she laid her head on his chest, murmuring satisfied sounds as she did.

He couldn’t help but smile at that.

She smoothed her hand down his chest and abs. “That was magnificent.”

“Yeah. Sure was.”

She tilted her head back to look at him. “I hope you don’t expect this to be a one-and-done thing. I expect to use you repeatedly.”

He snorted out a laugh. “Use me? You intend to use me? I’m hurt, Erin.”

“No, you’re not. Your cock is already at half-mast and jumping for joy at the thought of heading back into action.”

“Okay, fine. But I hope you’ll at least take me out to dinner on occasion.”

She shrugged. “I’ll think about it.”

He could fall in love with this woman. Hell, he was already half there.

And that was a dangerous thought, because she just wanted sex and he knew it.

“So?” she asked. “You ready?”

“To service you, m’lady? Your wish is my command.”

She climbed onto his lap and straddled him, gracing him with a wicked smile. “You always say the right things, Jason.”

CHAPTER

sixteen

ERIN WOKE EARLY. She never needed an alarm anyway. They had an appointment with a bride and groom at ten thirty, so she had to get back to the house to shower and get ready.

But rolling over and seeing Jason’s naked back was the nicest way to wake up this morning. She wanted to linger, to run her hands over his skin and kiss him and make love to him again. And maybe again.

They’d barely managed four hours sleep last night. Jason was a very generous lover, with amazingly talented hands and a mouth that could do incredible things. Not to mention a cock that got so hard and could go and go and go. She came so many times she knew she was going to be sore today.

She’d smile about that all day long. If a girl was going to have a hot fling, she should do it up right. Though she supposed a fling should be with someone random, and Jason wasn’t random at all. After they were done doing whatever it was they were doing, he was still going to be in her life.

So maybe this was a friend fling instead. She trusted Jason. And when this was over, they could go on being friends.

Simple, right?

He rolled over and gave her a very hot, sleepy smile.

“Want some coffee?”

“I’d love some coffee.”

He got out of bed and gave her the opportunity to ogle his extremely fine naked body. Her own body reacted viscerally with a rush of desire.

Down, girl. You have to get to work.

With a reluctant sigh, she left the bed, used the bathroom and got dressed.

“Coffee’s on,” Jason said as he met her in the hall. “And both the dogs are outside.”

“Thanks.”

He stopped and pressed her up against the wall, his hands all over her body as he kissed her and made her hot and needy and regretting the morning meeting. Because if she had her way they’d be back in his bed right now. And judging from the erection rubbing between her legs, that’s what he wanted, too.

She laid her hands on his chest. “I have a meeting this morning.”

He took a step back. “Dammit.”

“My thoughts exactly.”

“I’ll be back in a minute.”

“Okay.”

She went into the kitchen and poured herself a cup of coffee, opened the fridge and was happy to find cream in there. She added cream and inhaled the first few sips.

Her phone buzzed so she picked it up. It was Honor reminding her of the meeting this morning. She rolled her eyes. Like she’d forget. Jason’s phone was right next to hers so she heard it buzz. Her eyes widened when she saw Owen’s name light up on his phone. She couldn’t help but glance at the message.

Hey, Jason. Is Erin okay?

Her stomach dropped. She looked over at her phone, scrolling through her messages. One from her mom; one from her friend Alice; and one from Brenna.

Nothing from Owen. Owen, her ex-fiancé who’d left her two days before their wedding.
