A Hurt So Sweet : Volume Three(14)
Author: Betti Rosewood

"What the fuck are you doing?"

"Showing you what you've been missing," I purr, sliding my dress straps down my shoulders. My right breast pops free and Dexter's glare turns troubled as he watches me pull the top of the dress down, exposing my chest. "Remember, Dex? Remember how much fun this was? How you used me?"

"Don't," he hisses. "I'm not fucking you."

"Why not?" I pout, twisting my nipple between my fingers and whispering. Dex's hands form fists at his sides and I laugh with excitement. I've got him eating out of the palm of my hand - just how I wanted it. Now is when the real fun can begin. "Come here, Dex... please..."

He approaches me warily, staring me down.

"Maybe you should kneel this time," I suggest innocently. "Come on, on your knees."

"Excuse me?"

I point to the spot on the floor between my legs. "Come on... taste me..."

He struggles with his decision, but does what I've asked him to do a moment later, dropping down and looking into my eyes with silent, pitch-black eyes.

I push my tits together and lean forward, teasing him, but before I can get away, he's captured my nipple between his lips, pulling on it to bring me closer.

For the first time since I've met him, I don't feel like Dex has all the control. No, this time we're sharing it - passing it from one to the other.

"You want it to hurt?" he grunts, and I find myself nodding before I can stop myself. Dex bites into my skin and I whimper as he sucks a love bite onto my breasts. I throw my head back and allow him in fully, giving him more and more of myself as he marks my skin.

Forgetting what happened, I allow my hands to wander his back, making Dex hiss as I slide my nails against his skin.

"Forgetting something?" he growls.

"You hurt me, I hurt you," I whisper. "Simple."

He gets up then, walking away from me as I stare behind him.

"We can't do this."

"Because?" I cross my arms over my body, shielding it from his view. Even this small gesture seems to piss him off, and Dex glares at me with contempt-filled eyes.

"Because you're..."

"I'm what?" I glare icily. "Damaged goods?"

"Don't fucking put words in my mouth." He runs a hand through his hair, sighing. "You're not mine to break anymore."

"That's right," I mutter. "I'm nobody's. See? No ring on my finger, no fiancés left."

"Yet you somehow fucked us all," he smirks, pointing to his dick. "Here." Then, he points to his head. "And here."

I shrug carelessly, getting up from my seat and striding to where I left my bag. "Anyway, I brought you some notes. Figured you might want to catch up at them."

Dex stares me down as I hand him the notes and swing the bag over my shoulder.

"I'm going now."

He doesn't try to stop me, making my bottom lip tremble, and I walk to the door and out into the hallway. But before I can make my way outside, Dex is standing before me, blocking my way out.

"Stay," he says, the single word as devastating as it is simple. "Please, can you stay with me?"

I don't think Dexter Booth has uttered the word please once in his life, but I ignore the urge to snap at him, and give him a simple nod instead.

"I'll stay," I agree. "But under one condition."

"What's that?"

It's my turn to smirk, and I do so with pleasure. "You don't make any attempts to fuck me again."

Pandora

Dexter takes a step closer to me, gently brushing his fingers through my hair until it's all gathered in his fist.

"You don't want me to fuck you?"

His words are a gentle caress against my skin. I shiver involuntarily, staring at the floor while I shake my head. I lose my confidence so quickly around Dexter Booth. It's as if he can flip a switch that makes me go from feisty and rebellious to meek and timid in a split second.

"No," I finally mutter after a long pause, but even I'm not convinced by my answer.

"Okay." He sounds so sweet, caring. Too bad I know that's far from the truth. "I won't touch you, Pandora. Stay a little while longer, will you?"

I manage to nod, fighting every instinct in my body not to beg him to touch me again. His fingers have left my skin cold and covered in goosebumps. I hate myself for how weak he makes me. That he's turned me into a puppet despite my best intentions to fight him. Something about the boy makes my knees weak. Something about him makes it impossible for me to say no.

"I'll stay." He takes my hand then, gently leading me back into the living room. He pulls up a blanket and some pillows and arranges them on the rug in front of the fireplace, motioning for me to sit down. I follow his instructions, watching silently as he adds more wood to the fire. Finally, he joins me on the rug, keeping a safe distance.

"I need to tell you something," he begins. Alarm bells go off in my head, but it's hard to listen to them.

I feel something happening. A panic attack, again. My body shakes on the inside, but remains frozen on the floor. I hear Dexter speaking, explaining something about his family, but I'm so far away I'm barely aware of the words coming out of his mouth.

"Dexter," I squeak, and he shuts up, staring at me with his brows knitting together.

"What's wrong?"

I try to breathe but I don't remember how. All of a sudden, the walls are closing in on me. I feel drunk out of my mind, but I only drank some wine... I stare into Dexter's eyes, his features dancing and making my head spin.

Dexter laughs then, loud and booming and somehow calming, and I giggle with him, all my worries forgotten as we collapse on the rug, laughing together.

"What the fuck is happening?" I hold my belly which is hurting from laughing so much. "I feel totally out of it..."

Dex grabs my hand, propping himself up on one elbow. "Feel my heart."

I do, and feel it beating as fast as my own.

"Dexter," I grind out. "You need to touch me."

"What?" His brows knit together. "You told me..."

Before I can tell myself to stop, I've taken a bold step forward. My lips find Dex's and I kiss him this time, hands on his cheeks, desperately trying to pull out the need I know he feels for me from inside the chest he's locked it in.

"I need you," I whisper against his lips. "Dex, I can't help it, I'm fucking dying for you..."

I have no idea what's happening, but a sudden burst of desire rips through my body. Dexter's figure is frozen next to mine, as if he's tripping on the same thing I am, except moments behind me. Suddenly I'm sober as day, and I take a step back, gasping as I feel my lips. I bruised my own fucking mouth by tonguefucking Dexter freaking Booth. Great job.

"Dexter, what the fuck was in that wine?" I whisper. Without waiting for his answer, I race ahead.

Dex walks in after me, and by that time, I've got the bottle in my hands. The words dance before my eyes and I feel another surge of the drink coming on.
