Born to be Witchy(6)

“Gorgeous,” he mumbled, his hand going back into my bubblegum pink locks, guiding me as he gently thrust into my mouth. I bobbed my head over him, taking all he gave me and loving every second. “Come here.”

Following his order, I pulled off him and climbed onto his lap. Not wanting to waste what little time we had left, I lined myself up over him before fully sinking down, my head falling back as he filled me completely.

“Damn, Aris,” he groaned as his hands tightened on my hips, lifting me before slamming me back down. There was nothing sweet and gentle about our moment—it was sweaty skin and a deep desire we needed to fill.

Leaning forward, he took my hardened peak into his mouth, never breaking the pace. I didn’t let him do all the work, rocking my hips over him the best I could as my own pleasure amped up, jolting through me each time he ground against my clit. My hands rested on his shoulders as I lost myself in everything he gave me, knowing what I needed without me having to tell him.

“Fuck, we’re almost there,” he growled, my eyes following his as he glanced out the window, the forests and green giving way to desert sands and barren lands. That was my warning before he started fucking me even faster, pounding into me until my legs were shaking, and I could barely form coherent thoughts.

“Please,” I begged, needing release. He let go of my hip long enough to reach between us, teasing my clit as he bucked into me. It was only seconds before I came, riding his cock until I was nearly boneless. Torryn’s hand moved back to my hip, and he shifted me, fucking me harder until he stilled, claiming my mouth as he filled me, his muscles tensing under me.

“Well, that’s one way to pass a long cart ride,” he said breathlessly. “Thank the goddess for the familiars all going with Olive and Allain, so she could spoil them; otherwise, that would have been awkward.” I chuckled as he pulled out of me.

Standing on shaky legs, I was unsure how to clean myself. The whole idea was great up until we got to this point, that was for sure. He just smiled, reaching inside of his pocket for a handkerchief and cleaning me off before muttering a spell, the cloth burning to ash in his hand before he tossed it out of the window.

With cleanup out of the way, we dressed quickly, me pulling my shirt on just as the landscape gave way to large summer homes. We still had a few moments, so I snuggled back into his arms and pulled out my new Witches Glass. It was nice to relax quietly in our post-sex glow, enjoying the music playing, and reveling in the breeze the moving carts created.

“Oooh, I see the summer home!” I exclaimed after another little while, sitting up straighter and pointing into the distance. Glancing over, a smile grew when I saw my home come into view.

The lakefront house had been in my life for as long as I could remember, but it hadn’t ever been home. I had always loved it—its quirks, the way the sun shined off the lake, and its secluded location—but I had never been welcome.

Well, at least until it had been given to me by Prime Minister Gennady.

Since then, my men and I had done some work on it—painting the droll and drab beige and white walls and exterior siding, moving any of my family’s belongings out so they could have them, and sprucing up the inside. Oh, and finally claiming one of the bedrooms for myself.

Nothing screams outcast like having only the corner of a dusty attic to sleep in.

Slowly but surely, it was becoming a home with random bright wall colors, fun patterns, and Xan’s art pieces lining the halls. Even Kye agreed to have colors other than black in the house. That’s something I’ll definitely call a win. The only stipulation the guys had was a giant bonfire. I remembered the night we’d had it out like it was yesterday, and not over three years ago.

Searching the house, I couldn’t find any of the guys, and the smell of smoke grew stronger as I started to jog from room to room. My worry grew each time I found an empty space until finally, I saw the reddish glow emanating from the back yard.

“Oh, so I guess we’re finally having that bonfire?” I asked as I made my way into the yard, but it wasn’t until I got closer, I really saw what was on fire. “Are those… the portraits from inside?” Holy hellsticks, they’re literally burning my family’s photos.

“Yup,” Kye exclaimed, completely unashamed, a smirk curling his lips. “I’ve wanted to set these on fire since we stayed here for a night after we got back from Aureus. Figured actually setting the people in the photos on fire would be frowned upon.” His casual shrug made me laugh.

“Hopefully, that’s okay,” Caspian murmured, his fingers fiddling with his shirt anxiously, looking as if he’d just realized I may have been upset.

“They have so many more of these back at their actual house, losing a few is nothing,” I reassured, a grin growing the more I watched the paper and canvas wilt and burn. “Besides, it’s not like you actually burned anything of value to them.”

“That’s a shame,” Torryn muttered under his breath. Chuckling, I stuck my hands out, enjoying the heat against my palms.

This certainly was one way to clear the walls for Xan’s beautiful artwork.

“Come on, Gorgeous,” I prompted when the cart finally stopped in front of our home.

The place had such significance for us now that it no longer had the connotations it used to—an entire family missing out on the best witch I knew because they cared more about status than their own daughter. We wanted to give Aris a chance to love this place, which was why having the wedding here was such a big deal. She’d given us so much, and we wanted the future of our family to bring a new set of memories to this home as sweet as our girl. At the thought of family and memories, the imagined situations I had been daydreaming about when I didn’t have work to do came to the forefront of my mind. Fun holiday celebrations, cooking a big meal for all the families coming to visit… maybe even a little witchling or two running around. I could picture it almost as clearly as I could see my girl right next to me. I just hoped the others wanted the same.

“The other carts shouldn’t be too far behind, so while we wait, want to check out the setup out back?” I offered, shaking away the thought. There’d be time for talk of the future, holidays, and babies after the wedding.

“I’d love to,” she said, her smile brightening at the prospect. I climbed out of the cart and held the door open for her, so she wouldn’t trip. Walking hand in hand around the side of the house and into the large yard, we took time to stretch after being cramped so long in the cart.

The lake was off to one side across the flat surface of the lot, the top of the blue water sparkling in the overhead sun. On the other portion of the property, down a temporary walkway, was a line of cabins we’d ordered for our friends and family to stay in.

“Looks like they’re making good progress getting the magical cabins set up,” I noted. “I think they’re on the last one, which is good since all the guests should be arriving later today or tomorrow.”

“Hiring the company to come put up the cabins for the weekend was a good idea. Now we don’t have to worry about anyone in the house at random times,” she agreed with an eyebrow wiggle that was more adorable than sultry.
