Subject: THEY MADE THE FINAL!!!

(Of course they did).

From the ONLY OFFICIAL fan group of The Paranormals.

OMG did you see this week's live show? Of course you did, you’re a Sub!!! That rendition of Wildest Dreams! Like Carmela said they certainly put the wild into their performance. Did you growl too?!!!

But it's next week now that we need to get ready for. Get your dialling fingers at the ready so we can have our Paranormals crowned as Britain's Best New Band. (I'm already having to fan myself).

Also, don't forget to send any questions you have for the band to me, so I can go meet them and put your questions to them.

Aren't I the luckiest woman in the world? Please don't hate me, someone has to get you the lowdown on our rock gods.

Until next week (eeek). Erica xoxo

THE DAILY NEWS

Love feud as The Paranormals, Seven Sisters, and Flame-Grilled Steak battle it out for the title of Britain’s Best New Band on Saturday night.

Saturday night’s final looks like being the mother of all showdowns as guitarist Noah Granger from The Paranormals faces ex-girlfriend Stacey Williams of Seven Sisters and her rumoured new lover Drayton Beyer from Flame-Grilled Steak.

If rumours of a bust-up in the canteen this week between the three are true, then maybe the competition isn't just about the record deal but also about winning Stacey's heart?

The bets are on The Paranormals winning the show, but the true winner seems to be presenter Harley Davies, who has just signed a million pound deal to be the face of ITV. This follows her success fronting the show this year alone after previous co-presenter Dan Trent went missing shortly after the first show of the new series.

For God's sake. Harley was impenetrable. My hate for her grew stronger every day though and I, in turn, became stronger. I could take over Marianne of all people. Probably because she'd always been a hole to sink into if her antics in the swinging sixties were anything to go by.

Other than that, it was parlour tricks. Amusing ones, but still not enough for me to possess Harley. If I'd had a substantial body, it was at that point I would have smacked myself up the head.

Why was I trying to possess Harley?

I could aim for the top. I could possess the boss himself, Bill Traynor. He acted like he was the big guy, but in actual fact his minions did everything for him. Without everyone around him feeding his ego he was nothing.

I laughed even though no one could hear it.

It was the final rehearsals and Carmela was working us hard. The band were getting fed up. All apart from Donna. She'd positioned herself into deputy position and was like the lead cheerleader.

Tempers flared at the first refreshment break of the day when Kiki spoke up. "I'm starting to think that I don't actually want to be part of a touring band." She said, wringing her hands. "I don't want to upset anyone, but I'd rather tell you how I'm feeling now, rather than before we might win. I'm actually missing my husband."

"You mean you want us to quit? Now, as we've reached the final?" Donna spat out.

"No. Not at all. I just mean that if you win, I don't want to, well, erm, carry on. I'm just going to go home. You don't need to be seven sisters. Most bands only have four in them."

"Four sisters. Yeah that's witchy sounding."

"You're bitchy sounding right now." Kiki's defences rose.

"Hey, hey." I said, trying to calm things down. "Let's just focus on the final. We might not even win, so you're arguing about a record deal and tour we might not get anyway."

"But what if we do?" Donna folded her arms across her chest.

"Then we can strip down to whoever wants to be in the band and negotiate."

She huffed. "Don't be ridiculous. Bill would just drop us and sign the runners up." She got up and stormed off.

Kiki's eyes were glassy. I put my hand over hers. "Kiki, I have mixed feelings too."

"And me." Shonna added. "I think I'd rather sit home reading than have to learn all these dances all the time. It gets a bit repetitive."

"Does anyone else think Donna's turned into a mini Hitler?" Meryl added.

A couple of the others agreed, and I sighed internally. My band was at war and no one's heart seemed to be in winning anymore, apart from Donna's.

"Look, we can't get this far and then give up. I see why she's so pissed off. We've been all for it and then right at the final hurdle we're all falling down. We are Seven Sisters and we can win this competition." I roused the others. "Just think of the opportunities winning could bring. It doesn't necessarily have to be a tour. Maybe we could get some sponsorship for designer clothes and things. Let's just carry on for now."

Kiki and Shonna didn't look convinced. "I promise you that I have your back if you decide it goes no further than the end of this competition."

They nodded.

"Right, let me go and calm Donna down." I told them. "Then we can get back to rehearsing."

I found Donna sitting outside in the main hall. She looked like she was waiting to see the Headteacher, all agitated and fidgety. I sat on a plastic chair beside her.

"What's going on, Donna?"

"I feel like I'm finally being seen by people, you know, and now they want to take that away from me."

"Oh, Donna." I pulled her towards me, my arm around her. "You can't make other people do your bidding just to make you feel better."

She shrugged off my hold. "It's okay for you. Mrs I'm-between-two-guys-and-I-get-all-the-press- coverage. There's more to this band than you, but you wouldn't know it. I'm fed up of being invisible, Stacey. I want to be seen."

"What's got into you lately? You're all nasty and it's just not like you." I stood up. I didn't need to be insulted when I was trying to help someone. "Carry on and there'll be no band to sing tonight. You're scaring them off." I told her. She ignored me and so I left her and went back to rehearsals. She didn't return for the rest of that day and then the following day she acted like it had never happened.

It was a sign of the price of fame and how it could go to people's heads. I was becoming more and more onside with Kiki and Shonna's point of view. I liked the clubs, playing smaller intimate venues, and the idea of staying at that level appealed. But it was probably too late now. Like Donna said, I was becoming a household name thanks to the imaginary war the press were dreaming up across their pages.

There was no fight for my heart.

And that would become clear at the final.

When the guys went all out to win for themselves.

The day following Donna's outburst we had a spectator watching our rehearsals. Dray was sitting on a stool in the corner of the studio after finishing up with his own band. His eyes watched our every move. If I'd had a true interest in him, I'd be seriously pissed off that his attention wandered so much to the others, but it didn't go beyond me liking him and enjoying his company. I knew I'd have ended our 'dating' by now if it wasn't for not wanting any awkwardness around the place.
