Hex Factor(32)
Author: Andie M. Long

Aaron walked over to me and no one was more surprised than me when he spoke.

"You need to stop looking and go and get her. Don't take no for an answer. You're a vampire. A predator. Why are you not claiming her as your own?"

"I don't know, Aaron." I admitted honestly. "When it comes to Stacey, I'm weak."

"We're all weak when it comes to love." He said. "Even demons."

He looked over at Zak, who was charming the ladies, but who wore a tormented expression around his eyes.

I realised that Aaron was telling me something.

"Us demons learn certain information at each level, but as I'm working for the big, bad boss I'm privy to more information than I should know. If he finds out I've told you, I'll be incinerated, but I have a son Zak's age, and I can't imagine him being bound to a life of servitude." He took a deep breath. "When he finds true love, his contract ends. His soul will be returned."

I gasped.

"But you can't tell him that. To tell him would be to torment him. He'd be unlikely to find it if too focused. And more than that, it would mean a disqualification. He wouldn't be able to end his contract with Don."

"But I can try to help him look for love, albeit discreetly?"

"As long as you don't tell him the truth."

I patted Aaron on the arm. "Thank you, Aaron. Thank you so much."

Aaron nodded his head and began to walk away, and then he turned back around. "She's looked over here at least six times while we've been talking. If you let her leave this time, it will be the end of this. I can see it in her eyes."

I remembered what Zak had said about being able to find another bass guitarist if needed. I realised that was fine with me.

Oh I'd be crushed for a while. Music had been my dream, but Stacey… Stacey was reality, and right now, it was time to do what I did best.

Stalk and claim my prey.

I waited for her to walk down the corridor towards the ladies bathrooms and then I swiftly grabbed her and pulled her into a dark alcove of the club at lightning speed. The scream was only just appearing at her lips when she realised who'd done it and where we were.

"For God's sake, Noah. I'm going to need my hairdresser on speed dial at this rate to cover my grey."

"I'm done, Stacey." I told her.

"Whaaat?" Her eyes looked panicked.

"With the band. With The Paranormals. I'm done with the band."

"Oh." She let out an exhale.

"Shit, you thought I meant with you."

"Duh." She said, punching me in the chest.

My stomach flipped as I realised she'd have been upset if we were over.

"I'm far from done with you, Stacey Williams. I haven't even started what I intend to do with you."

"Oh yeah? Like what?" She raised a brow.

"I'm going to kiss you, love you, fuck you, make love to you, and marry you, Stacey. That's if you forgive me for the mistakes of my youth. I promise you'll never come second in my life ever again."

"I'll consider this on one condition." Stacey folded her arms across her chest.

"Okay, what is it?"

"You take the recording contract and see where your music takes you."

I shook my head. "No, Stacey…"

She raised a hand and put her fingers across my lips. "Noah. I asked you to choose and you did. You chose me. You would put me before everything. That's all I've ever thought I wanted, but it's selfish. I couldn't live with myself knowing I stopped your dreams. We'd not survive that."

I smirked.

"Yeah, okay, you're dead anyway and I'm apparently going to become a vampire, so neither of us is surviving, but you get my gist."

"I do."

"I realised that there are things I need to do for myself. I quite fancy being a theatre actress down the line. So I've decided that I'm going to tour with whoever of the Seven Sisters wants to and see what opportunities it brings. I spoke to Harley and she says it's going to be a joint tour with two headline acts."

"Looks like we're stuck with each other for a while then." My smile broke across my face and I swear it almost cracked my jaw it was so wide.

"Yep, sure looks that way." Stacey smiled back. "Now what did you say you were going to do with me again?"

"I think I started with kiss you." I said, and I leaned forward and claimed her mouth with my own.

OMFG Subs.

They only went and did it in secret!

Noah Granger and Stacey Williams are now man and wife! Photos are being released to the press, but here's one they sent especially for the Subs along with this sweet message.

Subs,

We couldn’t wait any longer and didn't need a fancy ceremony. All we need is each other.

Now we're Mr & Mrs Granger and couldn't be happier.

We look forward to seeing you on tour soon. Don't forget to grab your tickets as from September, Stacey will be leaving The Seven to star in the West End as Velma in Chicago.

There's no time for a honeymoon, but we're okay with that. We're enjoying singing our music to you all.

Thanks for all your support. You're the best!

Noah & Stacey xo (Mr & Mrs Granger)

I have it on good authority that Donna Matthews will be taking over the lead. I have to say when I first heard a few of Seven Sisters weren't going ahead with the tour I was worried as you know, but then three of Flame-Grilled Steak joined them and now I think The Seven are amazing.

I asked Charlie from FGS how Dray was doing and apparently he met his 'one' in hospital and he's home and living happy ever after so that's good news isn't it?

Anyway, I'll leave you to celebrate the exciting news and I'll be in touch with you soon, when I'll have an exclusive interview with our lead singer. Yes, Zak Jones will be talking to me. Is this real life? Where I get up close and personal with The Paranormals?

Happy sigh.

I proofread the piece and then I pressed send to the thousands of subscribers. It grew day by day. The Seven did well, but The Paranormals were becoming superstars.

They were so busy that now I dealt with their PA, Vikki.

I began to write my list of questions for Zak. I'd send them to Vikki and she'd send me the answers back. It was just like backstage on Britain's Best New Band. To the Subs, it looked like I was living my dreams, speaking to the hottest band of the moment regularly, but in reality, I was nowhere near them.

And I so wanted to be near Zak Jones. Preferably underneath him.

I sighed as I clicked onto the showbiz pages where I looked at him with woman after woman after woman.

Some things just weren't meant to be.
