Blind Copy (The Technicians Series Book 5)(35)
Author: Olivia Gaines

“She’s not old enough to date, and especially not that little octopus. Look at him, all touchy feely and shit. I have guns and weapons in this house. I will cut off his little pecker if he touches my baby,” Raphael said.

He looked at Willow. Her face had gone all soft and her jaw was slack. The pupils in her eyes had dilated, and the nipples in the soft cotton of the dress were on high. The tip of her tongue snaked out of her mouth and right then and there, he wanted to knock all the handcrafted sea shell shit off the table and go for what he knew best. He would start the much-needed stress relieving session off by rubbing that delicious ass lambchop bone all of over her titties and licking off ever juicy drop. It would truly traumatize Karli, but he was wealthy enough to put the child in counseling for the rest of her life if need be.

“Ahh damn,” he said, reaching up to run his fingers through his hair, which was a particularly good method to refrain from touching himself and rubbing one out while she watched. His eyes pretty much confessed his dirty, filthy thoughts when he looked up at the woman.

She nodded her head up and down, saying yes. “I’m ready. I am so ready. You don’t even have to ask. You can get it,” she whispered. “You can get it all night if you want to; I’m not even going to whimper.”

“I’m going to hold you to that, but I have stuff in the car for you. It’s supposed to be for your birthday tomorrow.”

Her mouth opened wide, “You know my birthday is tomorrow? I hadn’t celebrated a birthday in so long...you bought me a gift? Oh my goodness, I had to physically look at a calendar to get my bearings and you knew...my birthday is tomorrow.”

“I bought you the gift of all gifts,” he said, feeling proud of himself. “Also, Tuesday, we are heading out of town to spend a few days with some friends. Well, my co-workers and their families. I meant to ask if the girls can swim. It’s a water park kind of thing. Lots of slides, floating lazy rivers and things of that nature.”

“Like a family vacation?” she asked shocked.

“Yeah, like a family vacation,” he repeated, looking at the woman who appeared to have stopped breathing. “I have to call back and change the reservations to include the cat in the hat and Pierce.”

The dog barked at hearing his name.

The kitten sat up and mewled for being disturbed.

Willow was grinning from ear to ear.

“I have a lady boner so big and wet right now, I need to excuse myself before I jump you and traumatize the children,” she said rising, walking away. “Please excuse me, Mr. Hoyt.”

He continued eating as he watched her walk up the stairs. Her ass bobbed from side to side like two perfect melons in a well-worn gunny sack. The Archangel was right. He wasn’t that good of a man. Tonight, he was going to take care of the lady and her boner.

“I’m going to take care of all of that, really well,” he said, cutting another piece of the chop. His chest lifted with pride at the wonderful goodie he had in the car. It wasn’t his way to buy shit to make a woman feel grateful to him, but this one time he was going to take one for the team. “Gonna get me some chocolate all in my teeth.”

“Are you talking about the cake, Daddy? I’m ready to have a slice too. It will be my very first slice of chocolate yumminess,” Karli said.

Raphael found himself chuckling. “Me too, Pooh Bear; me too. I can hardly wait.” He planned to be a conquering pirate climbing aboard a maiden vessel and getting all up in the booty.

Chapter Thirteen – Reproduction

IT FELT LIKE A REPRODUCTION of Christmas morning, only it was May. He sat in the big chair, just as his father used to do, watching the kids enjoy their presents. The teens occupying his patio were sent home to allow Raphael to be alone with his family. He took his time bringing the items inside from the vehicle, thinking he also required time to clean his weapon, and ensure everything was back in place before the next assignment.

First, he brought in the dolls for Karli. She fawned and fussed over each one, happy for the gifts. She thanked her father six times, one for each doll. The bag that came with the dolls also held doll clothing with at least one change for each little princess.

“I love these so much,” she said, kissing his cheek six times for good measure.

Next, he brought in the bicycle for Dusty, who thought it was the greatest thing in the world. The bell on the handlebar and white basket was perfect to carry Pierce to the beach and back, as she told him. She didn’t even mind the mint green color.

“Dusty, we can strip it down and repaint it any color you’d like,” he said. “It will take a little work, but I’m willing to put the time in if you are.”

“A project for just me and you? I love it, Daddy. Thank you,” she said, looking at it with apprehension and excitement in the same breath.

“I have some other items in the car as well,” he said, going back down the stairs and returning with the bolts of fabric.

Karli squealed at the top of her lungs seeing the unicorn paneled fabric, while Willow and Dusty eyeballed the other materials, colors, and patterns. Raphael used that moment to sneak out to bring in both sewing machines. He set them on the floor.

“Dusty, this one is for you, and Willow, this one is yours. Happy birthday,” he said, watching her face.

Willow, now speechless, kicked off the high heeled sandals and got on the floor. She stared at the box, running her fingers over the top and sides of it with her back to Raphael.

“Willow, do you like it?’ he asked, thinking maybe he should have gotten her pearls instead of a home making device. Maybe she would think he was trying to make her into a domestic goddess or something and devaluing her worth as a person. Raphael wasn’t prepared for what he saw when she turned around.

Her eyes shimmered with tears. Each time she blinked more droplets ran down her cheeks; then Dusty started to cry. Karli wanted them both to stop crying, which made her cry and the damned necktie wearing dog to start howling. He looked at the cat in the stupid felt hat. The cat looked back at him in total lack of amusement as if he were saying, none of the emotional outpouring fazed it in the least. All of it was getting to Raphael.

“I guess that means you like your gifts,” he said through a snarl which was supposed to be a smile.

“Raphael, this is the gift of all gifts. I have wanted one of these machines my entire life. I was saving for one when Hymn took all my money,” she said. “I was planning to open a little side business on Etsy creating handmade items with embroidery. All of that fell apart and I gave up hope. You got me the perfect gift. I’m so humbled. So thankful for this, for you. I can’t tell you what it has meant for you to take us into your home. The simple option of allowing us to breathe and find ourselves or rather for me to find myself again. I owe you everything. I owe you so much. Thank you.”

“You’re welcome,” he said, feeling the biting, stinging irritation of tears at his eyes. He didn’t cry. He’d seen men that served beside him for several missions blown in half during military deployments and he didn’t cry. He’d witnessed the worst atrocities known to man and he didn’t weep. He bought a woman and a teenage girl sewing machines which made them cry, and now he too wanted to bawl like a big fat, knuckle-headed baby. He wasn’t going to do it.
