Bride of the Sea (The Prophecy of Sisters #2)(49)
Author: Hayley Faiman

Turning my head to the side, I touch my lips to the side of his warm neck. His other hand wraps around the front of my throat, he holds my back tightly against his chest while his fingers begin to play me.

I let out a whimper, then a moan as his fingers shift to my clit, focusing there, moving faster and faster, building me higher and higher. My hips jerk beneath his touch. I search for my release, a whimper escaping my lips as my entire body trembles and I fall over the edge, crying out as I come right before my entire body goes limp.

AARIC

Carrying her over to the furs, I lay Liv down on her back. There are a dozen positions that I want to take her in, but right now, it only feels right that we are face to face, mouth to mouth, body to body.

Wrapping my hand around the back of her thigh, I press her leg back, her knee touching the fur as I fit my hips between hers and sink inside of her body.

“Aaric,” she breathes.

Liv lifts her hands, wrapping her fingers around my biceps as she throws her head back, arching and widening her other leg to give me even more access to her skjede. Lowering my head, I touch my mouth to the center of her throat.

I aim to bring her pleasure a second time. I vow to myself that I will feel the way she tightens and clenches around me when she has reached her climax.

I want it.

No, I need it.

Dragging my lips up her neck, my hips shift as I glide in and out of her tight heat. Minn. All of Liv is now minn. She is my wife, I own her body, her mind, and her soul is connected to mine in a way where she will never be rid of me, not even in Valhalla.

Grinding my pelvis against her clit, I continue to move inside of her, speeding up my thrusts as I lick and suck her neck. Her nails dig into the flesh of my biceps. Her skjede flutters around my hard length.

She is climbing, already close to falling over into her climax, I grunt as I pick up my pace, slamming into her warm body even harder. She releases her grip on my shoulders, lifting her head those green eyes that I desire to stare into bore into my soul.

My breath hitches as her hands slide up my arms, my shoulder, and finally tangling in my hair. Grinning, I dip my chin, touching my lips to hers as I continue to take her faster and harder than I probably should.

“Yes,” she exhales against my lips.

Liv lifts her hips, my fingers grip the back of her thigh tighter, spreading her farther for me. Sweat gathers at the small of my back, my forehead and my chest. With a grunt, I pound into her body harder and harder, my vision blurring as I lose complete control over myself.

“Yes,” she cries on a sob. “Don’t stop,” she begs.

I don’t know how she isn’t screaming in pain, but she enjoys the roughness of this play and I’m glad for it, because I cannot stop myself even if I wanted to.

Closing my eyes, I bury my face in her neck as I give her every ounce of strength that I have, stilling when I feel her clench around me as a scream rips from her throat. My own muffled moan escapes from my throat against her skin. My release being pulled from me and filling her body.

Releasing my hold on her thigh, I stay planted deep inside of her, attempting to catch my breath against her neck. Liv wraps her arms and legs around my waist, pulling me even closer to her body.

I remind myself that she was indeed created by the gods to satisfy every one of my needs and desires. This prophecy is important for the lands, for the people, for the gods and Liv fulfills me in a way that no normal woman could ever—she is a gift from the gods for their mighty warrior.

“I love you, Aaric,” she whispers into the quiet tent.

Lifting my head, I look down into her eyes. Her face is sweaty, her hair a mess as she continues to hold on to me in a way where I don’t know if she will ever let go, nor am I sure that I would ever want her to.

“You were created for me, Liv. A woman made just to fit my desires. A woman created for me to love,” I say.

A flash of what looks like hurt crosses her face, but it fades away immediately. Her lips turn up into a small smile. “Is that your way of saying that you love me too?” she asks.

With a grunt, I dip my chin and touch my mouth to hers. “It is,” I say just before I dip my tongue inside of her warm mouth.

Rolling onto my back, I bring her with me to straddle my front. Sliding my hands up her sides, I apply pressure to her back so that she bends and I feel her softness against my hard.

Our connection is lost in the transfer, but her soft body is pressed against my own and it is a pleasure that I worried I would never have again, even if it was only for a short time that I thought she was lost to me.

“I can’t believe I’m pregnant,” she says, her tone full of disbelief.

I hum, my fingers gliding up and down her spine. “You are. My heir grows within you and according to Quest, this means that the prophecy has been put into motion.”

Her lips graze my chest, where my talisman is permanently etched into my skin, then she lifts her head to look into my eyes. “He told me too. Explained more of the prophecy. He said that my sisters and I will be the most powerful people on this entire earth, I’m scared, Aaric.”

Shaking my head once, I don’t look away from her. “Do not be scared, sváss, I will not allow any harm to come to you, not ever.”

“I’m glad that it’s you that found me when I came here. This world would be so much scarier if I didn’t have you next to me the entire time.”

Deciding that this conversation needs to be over. There are things that I cannot think or speak of. One of them is her not being with me, the other is me not being with her. I lift my head and touch my mouth to hers in a hard kiss.

Chapter Thirty

AARIC

Runa and Seeress arrive after Liv has already fallen asleep. I hear Quest’s entrance and the gasps of my men who are still setting up camp, starting fires to eat, and gathering whatever they can for our battle that will shortly ensue.

A battle where we cannot win with just our brute strength. We will perish if we do not do this the right way. I have already made peace with Fiske being gone. I have been mourning him since I discovered the demon deep inside of his soul.

“She is well?” Gunnar asks, his lips twitching.

He heard us. My lips curve up into a grin. “She is, you know this,” I chuckle. “Quest senses that she is with child,” I murmur just loud enough for him to hear.

“Aaric,” Gunnar exhales. “This is a good thing. You were concerned for her age,” he says, reminding me of the way I behaved when I found out that my bride was not young.

Nodding my head once, I lift my eyes to Quest who is just a few feet away, Runa and Seeress sliding down from his back. I watch as they dust off their dresses and start to make their way toward us.

“Now, I am concerned over other things, Gunn.”

“Fiske,” he rumbles.

“Já.”

“We will prevail,” he states firmly.

Jerking my chin up, I shift my gaze to him. “If we do not, if I do not. Take her away, send her away. Just keep them safe, I do not care how that happens or what it takes, just do it,” I demand.

Gunnar dips his chin, his gaze lifting to find mine. “Me, Hagen, Kjeld, and Sten will endeavor to always keep Liv safe, Aaric. Always.”
