Two of a Kind (Haven Bay, #2)(41)
Author: Alexa Rivers

“Get naked,” she ordered.

He drew back, wearing a cocky smirk. One that said he was fully capable of delivering on the promise he was making with his hands and lips. “Bossy.”

She grinned lopsidedly. “We’ve established that. Now, please Jack, will you get naked?”

His hands went to her hips and he lifted her—wowzers, the man was strong—then he dumped her on the bed beside him. She scrambled up and glared as he moved away. His eyes widened innocently, and her own narrowed. But he did as she’d asked, sliding his jeans down past his ankles. After that, she doubted she’d be able to remember her own name.

“That’s right, baby. Lick your lips.”

Her tongue paused in the corner of her mouth. She hadn’t even noticed she was doing it. He watched her, eyelids heavy, irises only a thin band around his dilated pupils.

“Your turn, sweetheart.”

She hastened to do his bidding. When she’d discarded all of her clothing, she guided him backward until the bed hit the backs of his knees, then pushed him down and straddled him the same way she had earlier, except this time, nothing separated the slick glide of his hard shaft from her wet heat. They both sighed at the contact. He took her chin between his thumb and forefinger and claimed her mouth. The kiss was raw and messy. Exactly what she needed. She sank into it, aware of the sensations swamping her body as they touched each other with greedy hands, but oblivious to the details of everything except what they were doing with their mouths.

As need spurred her on, settling hot and heavy in her lower abdomen, she realized she was almost riding him. If he slipped his hand between them and she lifted up—

“Gotta get inside you, baby,” Jack panted in her ear, his thoughts flying along the same trajectory as hers. “Condoms in the drawer beside the bed.”

With a groan of reluctance, she drew away from him and sifted through the top drawer until she found a foil packet. She ripped it open and unrolled it over his length with shaky fingers. Then, with confidence she didn’t feel, she spread her legs and lowered herself onto him. The blunt head of his erection speared into her, the pressure almost too much, but she bore down on him and after an initial tightness, her arousal eased the way.

“Shiiiit,” he groaned. “You’re so perfect. I’m never gonna get enough of you.”

He thrust up into her, burying himself deeper, and she cried out. She wanted to believe what he said, but it was early days. Who knew what would happen? All she knew for sure was that she could die from the sheer bliss of the way he stretched her body. She slid off him a little way, and back down, then did it again. Again. Slowly finding her rhythm.

“Oh!” she cried.

He’d latched on to one of her nipples, worrying it with his teeth. She buried her fingers in his hair and clutched him tight. He eased back and came at her again, his tongue lathing a languid path around her areola. First one, then the other. He moved with the laziness of a cat, as if she weren’t bucking on his lap like a wannabe stripper. His brows were furrowed in concentration. All of that focus. All of that intensity. All channeled at her.

But still, it wasn’t enough. She wanted him to be as weak and desperate and needy as her. She stopped moving, and waited until he raised his head and met her eyes. Then she unfurled her legs so they encased his sides and leaned back, resting her weight on her palms. In a smooth, purposeful movement, she slid along the length of him until only the tip was left inside her. Then she inched back, moving excruciatingly slowly, clenching her core muscles to grip him as tightly as possible.

His eyes rolled back in his head and his hips jerked. “Damn. I love how you move.” He wrapped his arms around her and flipped her beneath him. “Enough play,” he growled. “I want to hear you scream.” But then he clambered off her.

She whimpered at the loss of him. “What are you doing?”

He dragged her to the end of the bed, leaned over and caressed the side of her cheek. “I’m gonna fuck you like you’ve never been fucked before.”

The tender touch was at odds with the harsh words, and it took her a moment to make sense of them. By that time, he’d already notched into her entrance, risen up, and slammed down into her. A torrent of pleasure ripped through her. Her first instinct was to close her eyes, but Jack was brutally beautiful above her, lean muscles outlined by light and shadow, and she didn’t want to miss a second of it.

He pounded into her again, the unfamiliar angle helping him reach depths no one else ever had. She watched, spellbound, as his powerful thighs bunched, and he moved inside her. He swore, beads of sweat rolling down the sides of his neck. This was a man on the verge of becoming undone, and she sensed that he’d undo her, too.

His dark eyes locked on hers and his lips peeled back from his teeth. His hand came between them and pressed, sending her into a shuddering, moaning, mindless oblivion. He tensed and threw his head back. The lines of his body could have been carved from granite, but he pulsed in release deep within her.

Finally, he sank to his knees and rested his head on her belly. “You wanna see something?”

He’d made the suggestion on a whim, but he meant it. He’d shared wonderful sex with Brooke, and now he wanted to share something potentially even more meaningful.

She laughed weakly. “If you show me anything else, I’m not sure I’ll survive.” She held up a finger, indicating he should wait. “Hang on, give me a moment. I’ll rally.”

He grinned, pleased to discover she was the type of person who could have fun in the aftermath of sex. He’d been accused before of being too flippant, but he never intended for that to be the case. Humor was simply an easy, uncomplicated method of communication.

“It’s nothing like that,” he assured her, and kissed her pouting lips. “You’ll love it. There’s this place I like to go in the bush over the other side of the creek.”

At that, she perked up. “I’m in. Let’s go. What are we waiting for?”

She picked herself up off the bed and pulled her clothes back on. He watched, partly amazed and partly amused. He wasn’t sure his legs could hold his weight, but she seemed to be fully recovered. How was she so damned resilient?

“What?” she asked, self-consciously.

“You’re beautiful,” he said. It seemed easier than admitting he was waiting for his bones to solidify.

She blushed. “Thanks.”

Shy. He had never applied the descriptor to her before, but at the moment, it seemed to fit. She had no qualms riding him buck naked, but she was shy afterward. Tenderness welled within him.

He shuffled down the bed and tested his legs. They seemed able to hold him, so he disposed of the condom, strode over to her, cupped her face, and kissed her. She blinked, her eyes dazed and unfocused.

“Hey,” he murmured.

She smiled softly. “Hi.”

“I like you,” he said. “And I want to show you one of my favorite places in the whole world. Is that all right with you?”

“Yes.” This time, she stretched onto her toes and initiated the kiss, her palms resting on the flat of his chest. He fancied she’d be able to feel his heartbeat, and that filled him with a sense of rightness.

“You’ll need a sweater,” he told her. “Did you bring one, or do you need to borrow one of mine?”
