Alien Goddess Kat (Makaen warriors Book 2)(50)
Author: Zina Wes

“Kitten, you feel so fucking good,” Dykan grunted. “You are so fucking amazing.”

She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer to kiss him wildly as he kept fucking her hard. Kat rocked her hips to his rhythm to welcome every single thrust. Encouraged by her sobs of pleasure, he increased his speed while the water ran down their bodies.

Dykan shuddered when her tongue traced the markings on his neck. Suddenly, she drew back. Her cheeks flushed deep red, her eyes sparkling with desire.

“Dykan, I’m feeling…this is…oh, Dykan.”

Kat arched her back and ground her lower body against his in a frenzy. His pheromones had kicked in, he gathered. He could feel it, too. Only seconds later, she cried out when an orgasm surged through her body. Dykan felt the muscles in her pussy tighten around him, gripping him like a vise, as she trembled uncontrollably with the force of her release. He pushed Kat even harder against the wall as he himself climaxed and his body exploded with pure rapture.

“You’re mine. Mine!”

With a loud growl he emptied himself inside her, until he was completely spent.

“Are you okay?” Kat heard Dykan ask distantly.

Breathless, she lifted her head off his shoulder and raised it toward him. Dykan looked down at her with an intense glare. He was still holding her up, pinned against the wall, which was a good thing, because her legs were as limp as noodles. There was no way she’d be able to stand within the next hour or so, she concluded. Not after this.

“Yep, I’m great,” she panted with a content smile. “Makaen, you’ve been holding out on me. Not that the sex before wasn’t great, but this was fireworks. You’ve roaked the living daylights out of me.”

An expression that Kat could only define as male pride crossed his face.

“Well, then, I hope Boda enjoyed the show,” he smirked.

Kat eyes went wide. “Were we that loud?”

Dykan grinned boyishly. “Yes. And we are going to be even louder this time,” he growled sensually as he lowered his head once more.

Chapter 23

Kat was awakened by the feeling of claws softly scratching circles on her back. Her eyes fluttered open and she saw Dykan sitting on the bed, fully dressed.

“We are getting close to Cassidiri,” he told her, planting kisses on her shoulder, which gave her goose bumps, “so I need to get our affairs in order. Will I see you in the mess hall for lunch later? We need to talk.”

Kat nodded. “Yes, I’ll—”

“Kat, are you there?” Lucas’s voice came through the intercom, interrupting her.

Worried, Kat set up straight in bed. “Yes, Lucas. Are you okay?” she replied.

“I’m fine. The medic told me I’m allowed to leave the medbay. I need to talk to you first. Can you come over? It’s very important.”

Kat looked at Dykan who had strolled to the door. He turned around as the door opened.

“I’ll see you in the mess hall later,” she whispered, giving him a warm smile before he stepped out of his quarters.

“Okay, Lucas,” Kat continued. “I’ll be in the medbay in ten minutes.”

Dykan entered the mess hall and his heart thumped wildly when he saw that his Kitten was already there. She was having a conversation with Selvin. Her brother and the human were standing next to her.

He desperately needed to talk to her. That morning he had realized that he didn’t want to let her go yet, so he had decided to ask her to stay with him a little longer. At least for a few more rotations. Or he could stay with her on Cassidiri for a while. He and his crew did need a vacation, so that was acceptable for him too. Whichever she preferred.

The human noticed his presence and whispered something into Kat’s ear. She turned her gaze to Dykan for a moment and then looked back at the human, giving him a nod. In a few strides, the human was standing right in front of him.

“Captain. I wanted to thank you personally for rescuing me.”

Dykan grunted. “You don’t have to thank me. I didn’t do it for you.”

“I know, but you risked your life to help me. For that, I’d like to thank you by inviting you to my joining. If you hadn’t rescued me, there wouldn’t be a joining in the first place.”

“Your joining?” Dykan asked confused.

“Yes, that’s what it’s called on Cassidiri. It’s like the bonding ceremony on Makaen or a wedding on Earth. You see, being held prisoner for weeks put a lot of things into perspective for me. I realized that I hadn’t shown the people who meant the most to me how much I love them. And I told myself I would correct that if I ever got out of there alive. So, this morning I asked the love of my life to marry me and the answer was yes. As befits Cassidirian tradition, we’re going to get married eight days from now. Apparently that’s supposed to bring luck. It’s going to be a small ceremony, only the family. But of course, you and your crew are invited as well. If it weren’t for you, I’d still be trapped on that ship, or worse.”

Dykan stared at the human. It felt as if that ceiling was still pressing on his chest and he couldn’t breathe.

“The love of your life?” He had difficulty pronouncing the words.

Lucas nodded into Kat’s direction. As if she knew they were talking about her, she tilted her head their way, smiling ever so sweetly. She lifted her hand and waved.

His Kitten and that human? They were going to be bonded? She had said yes to that human after she had left his bed only this morning? A rage built up in his chest, so intense it spread through his whole body like a wildfire. His heart was hammering so hard and fast he could hear the drumming in his head. Dykan curled his fingers into fists, shaking with restrained fury. He wanted to dig his claws deep inside the human’s throat and rip out his windpipe. Cut into his stomach and let the guts spill out. Pull his body apart limb by limb. When he felt a warm wetness seep through his fingers, he blinked and looked down at his fists, watching as his blood dripped down his knuckles. He had pierced his own flesh with his extended claws.

In a daze, he saw Kat staring at him with a concerned frown. He needed to leave now, he realized, or he would kill the human for sure. And then she would hate him for the rest of his life. Why he’d even care about her feelings after she had betrayed him, he didn’t understand. He should hate her, make her feel his wrath, but he couldn’t. This was all screwed up. He was all screwed up. With a groan, he spun around and bolted out of the mess hall.

“What was that about?” Kat asked Lucas while she gazed at the mess hall doors. She had just witnessed Dykan darting out of the mess hall like he was on fire, leaving Lucas standing alone and confused. Kat immediately had rushed over to him.

Lucas shrugged. “I don’t know. I told him about the wedding and that he was invited, that’s all. And then his expression changed to murderous and he ran. It was really weird. You do know how to pick them.”

Kat’s brow furrowed. “Yeah, that’s strange even for Dykan. Well, he is Makaen and those guys are totally allergic to anyone expressing emotions, especially the warm fuzzy ones. Perhaps you talking about a wedding was a bit too much for him. Give him some time. I’ll ask him again later, when we’re alone. Maybe he’ll come to the wedding for me, but if he really doesn’t want to, we’ll have to respect that. Don’t take his reaction personally, okay? It probably didn’t mean anything.”
