Asher and His Geek Daddies (Rebels and Nerds #4)(15)
Author: R. Cayden

Alone in the yard, I had some old rock mix playing on my phone while I got ready to throw a coat of paint up on the exterior. I’d already installed some shelving inside and replaced the shoddy-looking wiring for the light. Maybe it was just because Daryl was around, but all the handyman work was reminding me of my father. Back when I was a kid, his view was I should know how to do that kind of shit, and if I didn’t, he would make damn well sure I figured it out fast.

I adjusted my sunglasses as I turned to the shed. Fuck all that stuff from the past. I drove away from that a long time ago, and I drove away fast.

And I had something much more exciting to think about anyway. Like Franklin and Rory, dancing together for me.

Fucking DISCO dancing together for me.

Just like I thought, Rory was the dominant one, and his strong hands were all over Franklin’s body as he spun his husband and dipped him. They had these goofy-ass smiles on their faces that just did me in. I wanted to jump in their arms right there, let them carry me away into their world.

But of course, I couldn’t even get Rory to dip me properly. He just angled his arms and kept me at a distance the whole time we danced, denying me the pleasure of huffing his minty, earthy scent and feeling his forearm pressed across my chest.

No matter. Just a small setback. The husbands had seemed only mildly awkward when I showed up that day, which was its own kind of adorably hot. And the more I got to know them and realize they might actually be interested in a guy like me, the bigger my fantasies grew.

I grabbed my crotch, tugging down on my jeans and shifting my weight to one side as I freed my cock. I’d at least been smart enough to wear a pair of tight boxer briefs that day, so my hard dick wasn’t flapping around the whole time I talked to Franklin.

I poured some of the white primer into a plastic tray, then pushed the roller through it a few times. Franklin still hadn’t decided what color he would have me paint the shed next week. If he had, I might even be able to squeeze in another layer that day. It was already October, but the day was bright, and the breeze and sunshine were drying it quickly.

Not that I minded the excuse to come back.

I was about a third of the way through the paint job when I heard the sedan pull back in. I knew they had dropped Ava at Franklin’s cousin’s place, which meant I might actually catch some more undistracted time with the both of them. I flicked the roller a few times to shed the excess paint back in the tray, then pulled my white tank up to wipe the sweat off my face.

“Hello? Asher?”

I hopped off the ladder and rounded the corner to see Franklin and Rory, strolling across the yard. Rory had his hand on the small of Franklin’s back, like he was guiding him along, and they both had smiles on their faces.

“Right back here,” I said, waving as I stepped around the shed.

It was funny how much just seeing them put me in a better mood. All the bullshit that Daryl had stirred up seemed to disappear, and I was right back in the comfort of their house, laughing at their dorky jokes and eating at their table.

“What about pink and blue stripes?” Franklin said brightly. He turned to Rory. “Don’t you think that sounds nice?”

Rory adjusted his glass with a grump. “We’ll think about it.”

“I think pink and blue stripes sound perfect,” I said to Franklin with a wink.

Rory chuckled. “Don’t you go egging him on. If Franklin gets too much encouragement, I’m afraid we’ll end up with a mural of X-Men characters painted on the side of the house by next week.”

“Oh yeah?” I said, adding a slight purr to my voice. “And then what would you have to do, Rory?”

Rory kept my eye, his dark gaze flashing behind his glasses. It always was much harder to ruffle his feathers than it was to get Franklin riled up. “Wouldn’t you like to know,” he finally said with a slight smile.

Oh? Oh?

Desire singed me when he said it, like he was putting me in my place, spanking me just once.

And right in front of Franklin! Rory, is this foreplay?

I cleared my throat. “I got those shelves up. Want to see?”

“Wonderful!” Franklin said as he hurried to the door. “It will be a shelve of a lot easier to navigate the shed now!”

Rory and I both made similar noises, somewhere between a chuckle and a groan, as Franklin opened the shed. Inside, I had installed four levels of shelving on opposite walls, opting for long cedar boards and brackets so I could customize to the interior. They looked sleek and sturdy, and I was more than a little proud that I had gotten them up so efficiently. With everything boxed up and clearly labeled on the shelves, the interior was pretty much finished.

“Looking good!” Franklin said, a wide smile on his face that only made me feel prouder. “And see,” he added, touching Rory’s arm. “The light fixture is replaced!”

Rory nodded as he looked up. “Thank you again, Asher. I thought a million times about coming out here to do this all myself…”

“But I wouldn’t let him anywhere near my Lego Poison Ivy,” Franklin added quickly.

“She’s safely wrapped in a plastic tarp in the back,” I confirmed. Handyman work might not have been as exciting as driving, but I still wanted to do as good a job as I could.

Franklin threw his arm around Rory’s waist. “There’s even extra space now! I could get some more cutouts when the next season launches…”

Rory’s bushy eyebrows furrowed, but before he could say anything, Franklin tittered. “Just kidding! I’m sure Ava is going to find plenty of things to fill this with over the next five years.”

I chuckled, then pulled my tank up to wipe the sweat off my face, revealing my abs. I grinned when they both trailed their eyes down, obviously staring at what I was showing them.

Maybe this really is foreplay…

I kept my shirt up as I turned, giving them a solid stare at my perky ass. As I bent, I finally released the shirt, then swooped up the drill and circular saw I had used for the project. “I thought you could just store these in the shed?” I said innocently. “There’s plenty of room.”

Franklin swallowed, and I about swooned when his throat stretched. “Sure,” he said. “Wherever you’d like.”

I dropped the power tools on the shelf. “Careful what you promise,” I teased, then took a slight step forward.

The wind gusted outside, and the door creaked halfway shut. The overhead light and the single window were enough to keep us out of darkness, but a shadow fell across the shed.

Rory and Franklin turned to each other. Then Rory stretched his arm across Franklin’s shoulders, the same as Franklin’s hand was tucked around his waist. I couldn’t read their expressions, but it seemed like an entire conversation was happening just in their eyes.

“You know,” I said as I stepped forward again. “I still don’t feel like I’ve given you a proper thanks for that dinner.” I hooked my thumb through my belt loop and let my hand fall by my crotch, inches from the thick bulge I was sporting. “I hope you don’t think that was rude of me.”

I noticed Franklin’s fingers tighten, dimpling Rory’s side.

“Asher,” Rory said, rubbing his beard with his free hand. “I didn’t think a boy like you worried about being rude.”
