UnHinge Me (Savage Beast MC #6)(60)
Author: Hayley Faiman

“What is, Wilder?”

I’m quiet for a moment, loving the way her hard belly feels against my side, the way her soft tits press against me and the feel of my cum leaking from her body onto my leg. It’s all so much fucking better than I ever could have imagined it being.

“I don’t think I’ve ever been happier than I am in this exact moment,” I admit.

Maybe I shouldn’t say it aloud. Maybe I should keep it to myself, but if I can’t tell my woman, who can I tell? My woman. Mine. Leighton is that too and soon she’s going to be Leighton Lopez and fuck me, does that sound really goddamn good.

Her eyes search mine, moving from side to side as she looks deep into my gaze, then finally, her lips turn up into a small smile.

“Yeah, I feel the same way,” she whispers.

“But?”

She presses her lips together, and I know that there is a but there, I also think that I probably know exactly what it is, however, I want to hear it from her gorgeous lips myself. She inhales a deep breath, closing her eyes for a brief moment before she reopens them.

“I’m afraid as soon as you leave, that the spell will be broken, again.”

My lips twitch into a small smile. I knew that’s what she was going to say. Sliding my hand up her back, I twist my fingers into her hair and tug her head, exposing her neck. Touching my mouth to hers, my lips drag down her neck as I suck on her exposed skin.

Making my way back up her throat, I stop at her lips again. “My mind is made up, babe. No more fucking around, no more being scared. It’s you, it’s this baby, it’s our family. Nothing on earth is worth fucking this up.”

She smiles softly and nods her head. “Okay,” she breathes. “Okay.”

I have to prove myself to her, I know that. I’m cool with that, because I also know that I will. This is just one test of many, of millions that will come our way. But I always get what I want. I always win, and this is nothing different. She’ll trust me, she’ll marry me, she’ll wear my brand, and she will love me.

Chapter Thirty-Five

LEIGHTON

Gone.

I should have been worried when he rode off on his bike, but something warm ran throughout my entire body at the sight of him, even riding away from me. He will return and it’s probably naïve of me, but this time feels so different from the time before.

“He’ll come back, soon,” a voice murmurs beside me.

I don’t have to look to know who it is standing there. Her baby is probably swaddled against her chest as she looks on. I want to hate her, it would be really easy to. But I don’t. Turning to her, I tilt my head to the side.

“Yeah, he will,” I say.

She shifts her gaze to mine. “Don’t hate him, don’t hate me,” she says, practically pleading.

“I don’t, at all.”

She nods her head once. “I didn’t know he was his, not until he was born.”

“Would it have mattered?” I ask, arching a brow. “You don’t love him, and you’re happy with Eagle, right?” I ask.

She nods her head slowly. “It may have mattered, but I am so happy and I think that he is too.”

Placing my hand against my belly, I look over at her and shrug my shoulder. “I hope so.”

Turning away from her, I walk into the clubhouse, my new home for a while. Wilder left me his credit card, told me to order whatever I needed for the house and for myself. Problem is, I can’t remember what we needed.

Chewing on my bottom lip, I sink down into the chair, tilting my head to the side, staring at the computer in front of me, I don’t know what the hell to look for first.

“You look really fucking confused, especially since you have a computer and a credit card in front of you,” a voice says with a chuckle.

Lifting my head, I look across the table and there is a man sitting in front of me that I don’t recognize.

“I’m Taz. My woman and I live in one of the houses out back.”

“Leighton.” I grin. “I need to get some things for Mountain’s house, but I can’t remember what we needed. I didn’t make a list and it’s been months since I’ve been there.”

“Want me to take you there, let you get a list made?” he offers.

I blink, unsure if I should accept his kindness. Chewing on my bottom lip, I look from him to the computer and card, then back to him. He’s handsome, tattoos littering his skin like most of the other men here. Mountain only has the one, and I find that I like that he’s a bit different than his brethren.

“My woman will join. Trista should be here soon anyway, she never lets me out of her sight for too long,” he says with a chuckle, then leans forward. “I prefer it that way, anyway.”

I watch as he winks, then jerks his chin behind me. Slowly, I turn around and watch a beautiful blonde wearing short cut-off denim shorts and a skintight tank top making her way toward us. Her lips are pulled up in a grin, her eyes focused on Taz and nobody else.

In fact, the way they watch one another, I’m not sure anyone else is here—at least in their own little world. They are completely and totally in love with one another.

“We’re gonna take Mountain’s woman over to his house so she can make a list of shit she needs to outfit his place, you wanna join?” he asks.

Trista doesn’t even look down at me, her eyes are only for this man. It’s beautiful in its way. She nods her head once. “Yeah, let’s do that.” She turns her head to look over at me, that same smile planted on her lips and I wonder if it’s just permanently placed there because she’s so damn happy?

“I’m Trista, by the way,” she says.

“Leighton,” I reply.

She nods her head once, her eyes flicking down to my belly. “Yeah, I know. Your presence has made quite a stir, it’s been a nice distraction.”

“Distraction?” I ask.

She nods her head once, then grunts. “Yeah. My dad ran off to California with my best friend, anyone would need a distraction from that.”

“Your best friend and your dad?”

She wrinkles her nose and nods her head. “I’m trying really fucking hard not to think about it, but I have no idea what they’re doing and most importantly, I don’t want to know.”

“Babe,” Taz grunts.

“It’s gross. I don’t want to think about it, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t know what they’re doing,” she snaps.

I can’t help but giggle. They both turn to look at me and shake their heads. “Okay, let’s get Leighton taken care of,” she offers.

“Yeah,” Taz grunts as he stands to his feet. “Let’s do that.”

Trista rolls her eyes and I gather Wilder’s card, shoving it in my back pocket before I follow behind them. I hope that I’m not making some big mistake by trusting them and leaving with them. It’s suddenly occurring to me that maybe I shouldn’t trust them. Just because he wears a matching cut as Mountain, doesn’t mean that he’s automatically a good person.

“You okay?” Trista asks as she looks back at me.
