UnHinge Me (Savage Beast MC #6)(65)
Author: Hayley Faiman

“Bring it on, little brother,” he growls.

It’s not even really worth it, but I do want this done. I also kinda want to know why he’s doing all of this, it seems really fucking pointless to me. I haven’t seen him in a few decades. I don’t get the anger and resentment. None of it.

“Before you die, I want to know why, Waker. The real reason. It’s not because I won’t fuck that whore at your side. There is something so much deeper to your hatred of me.”

He takes a step forward, his body tight in anticipation of the fight that is going to come. Except he doesn’t understand the man that I am today. He doesn’t get that, I won’t fight him with my fists, not when I can just end him quickly with a knife or a bullet. I have shit to do and a woman to get back to.

“Because you were a whiney little shit who always got what he wanted. I hated that.”

“I was a kid,” I point out.

Waker shrugs a shoulder, his bitch walks up to his side and grabs ahold of his arm, plastering herself against him, as if she is attempting to give him support. Instead, her gaze is focused on me. Dutch and Hawk have been quiet this entire time, but if I know them, they are prepared to end this shit just as much as I am.

“Don’t matter. Hated you the second you came outta your mamma’s pussy.”

My brother isn’t right, never has been. You can blame trauma from our childhood, you can blame a million different things, but the reality is that he’s always been wrong upstairs. He’s always been angry and he’s always been hateful to me and anyone else who crossed his path.

There is no reasoning with the unreasonable. I end him quickly, tugging my gun from my shoulder holster and pulling the trigger as I watch a small hole penetrate his forehead and blow his brains out behind him.

The bitch screams as his body falls to the floor, the contact, he doesn’t do shit except stare, because he knows he’s next. I don’t know how he thought this would end up any differently. Turning my weapon to the woman, I don’t pull the trigger immediately, instead I watch her for a moment.

“What’s your deal, Bianca?” I ask, lowering my weapon slightly.

Her eyes are narrowed as she looks at me with pure rage. She doesn’t say anything right away, then she spits on the ground at my feet. She straightens and takes a step toward me, then another, but stops when I lift my hand and press the barrel of my gun against her forehead.

“I want what I want the way that I want it. Waker knew that, he liked that about me.”

“I’m about sick of these cunts and their obsession with wanting what isn’t theirs, including other dicks.”

“Don’t get too fuckin’ crazy about that,” Dutch mutters. “You’re taken. I am not. My cock is single and ready to mingle.”

I snort. “Want a go at it before it’s cold?” I ask, ignoring the gasp from Bianca.

“Nah, I find that bitches like her have the worst fucking pussy,” he announces.

She hisses, turning toward Dutch, but I can’t stop from laughing as I pull the trigger and end her right then and there. My contact screams as he watches his sister die. I turn my fun to him, but don’t pull the trigger right away.

“Why?” I demand. “Because of my stupid as fuck brother? Because of your whore sister? Really? You had to have known that I would come here and this would be the end result.”

He jerks his chin up, his gaze narrowing on me as he presses his lips together. I take a step toward him, pressing the cool metal of my gun's barrel against his forehead. He closes his eyes, waiting for his fate.

“Tell me,” I demand.

“Fuck the Beasts,” he sneers. “Fuck all of them.”

“See you in Hell,” I rasp before I end him as well.

There is a moment of silence. All three bodies are in a pile on the floor while Hawk, Dutch, and I look down at them.

“What do we do now?” Hawk asks.

“Fuck if I know,” I grunt. “We got a bunch of fucking product that we need to get to New York, ASAP, that’s all I fuckin’ know,” I grumble.

“This shit is getting ridiculous, we’re goin’ through suppliers more often than I change my fuckin’ underwear,” Dutch announces.

“Well that’s more information than I ever wanted to know and also a possible reason why you’re still fuckin’ single, brother,” I say.

He chuckles, the mood lifting for a moment. Hawk brought a pickup truck here, but I don’t know how we’re going to get the supply over the border without alerting authorities. This could end up really fucking badly if we get caught.

Personally, I’m not down on spending time in jail while Leighton has my baby without me being there. I want to be with her, work on our relationship and build our family together, not from a goddamn jail cell.

“Got any ideas on how we’re going to get this shit through?” I ask.

Hawk clears his throat. “Let me call Avah. She has a hookup,” he grumbles.

“Do I want to know.”

“A client.”

“What’s this going to cost?” I ask.

“Just my fuckin’ pride,” he grunts.

Chapter Thirty-Eight

LEIGHTON

Trista is taken away by a man whose eyes widened in surprise at the sight of her. I don’t know what that means, but I know without a doubt that she knew him somehow. The leader takes a step forward, shaking my father’s hand as his eyes roam over my body, never looking at my father directly.

“You want to give me that one, too?” he asks.

“She’s pregnant. I need to take care of that first, then she’s already been promised, bought, and paid for,” he announces.

The man, Riot, shrugs a shoulder. “Not sure I can just take one bitch as payment for my services. I think I need two,” he purrs as he licks his lips.

“She is pregnant and paid for, what do you not understand?” my father growls.

Riot finally shifts his attention from me to my father, his lip curling in disgust at the man standing next to me. I don’t blame him, even to the most hardened criminals, my father is an even bigger shit than they are.

“I understand plenty. I understand you want me to put my ass on the line, my men’s asses on the line and all for a pittance. I want more than one cunt,” Riot snarls.

I’m not even offended by the name he’s called me. I find this conversation very interesting between two complete assholes. Two obviously narcissistic pieces of shit. But the longer they stay here, in a standoff, the more apt I am to be discovered and saved.

It’s probably pathetic to hope for someone to save me, when I should be attempting to save myself, but right now, that’s my only hope. I need someone to save my life and my baby’s, that is, until I can find an opportunity to attempt my own escape.

“You’ll do what I require of you and you will accept the payment that I give you,” my father touts.

Shit.

I watch as rage fills Riot’s eyes. This isn’t going to end well for my father. I take a step to the side, knowing that Riot is going to end him right here and now, for the final time. I hold my breath as it happens.
