Nashville Days (Music City Lovers #1)(33)
Author: Julie Capulet

The waves calm.

Slowly, he pulls out of me. Rivulets of his cum wet my thighs. He uses a t-shirt to clean some of his seed from my body. “I’m going to know I’m dripping down your leg as I sing tonight. You’re mine. I don’t want to let you out of my sight. I don’t want to share you with anyone.”

“I don’t want to share you either,” I whisper. I didn’t really mean to say that. I guess it’s okay to be honest, though. That’s how we’ve decided to do this.

“You don’t have to share me, sweetheart. I’m yours. I’m so far gone I can’t see straight. I can’t see past your golden glow.”

He helps me back into the passenger seat of his car as he kisses me. I’m so crazy for him, is what I’m realizing. I don’t even want to be this crazy for him. Travis Tucker is getting under my skin, that’s what’s happening here. With his big cock and his killer smile and all that wild pleasure he gives me every chance he gets.

Travis’s phone rings in his pocket. “Shit.” He stuffs himself back into his jeans. “Let’s go, baby.”

He jumps in and starts the car. His phone starts ringing through the radio system. The screen says Vaughn.

“Hey, Vaughn.”

“Where the fuck are you, Travis? We’re on in ten minutes.”

“I’m running late.”

“No shit. You were supposed to be at the stadium three hours ago.”

Stadium? “I’m almost there.”

“Roxie’s having a fucking conniption. Jackson finished half an hour ago. The crowd’s getting restless.”

“Just tell them I had car trouble.”

“You drive a brand new Shelby, Travis. We all know there’s nothing wrong with your goddamn car.”

“I’ll be there in ten.”

“Just hurry the fuck up.”

Travis ends the call.

“Who’s Vaughn?”

“My other brother.”

“Is he in your band?”

“Both my brothers are in my band. My sister is our manager.”

It’s not long before we’re driving into the center of Nashville.

“Things will probably get a little crazy tonight,” he says. “Stay close to me, okay? You’ll have to wait backstage while I’m on, but I want to be able to find you when I need to.”

“Okay.” It’s sort of sweet how over-protective he’s being. I mean, how crazy can it be?

We drive into the stadium and the parking lot is completely full. It’s starting to hit me that this is all for him.

He’s performing as the headline act at the Nashville stadium to what appears to be a sold-out crowd. I guess in hindsight, the clues have been getting more and more obvious, but I just never imagined such a thing.

Travis Tucker isn’t just famous, he’s a superstar.

All the gatekeepers and security people know Travis’s car. They wave him through.

I suddenly feel like I need a lot more information. But we’re pulling up at the back entrance and a crowd of people wearing back-stage passes and security badges and headsets are swarming around the car. Travis’s door opens and they pull him out. People are yelling and talking and trying to usher him away. He literally has to fight them off to come around to my side of the car. I’m almost afraid to get out. But Travis wraps his arm around me and holds me close to his body and we’re led by his entourage into the back-stage area of the stadium.

It’s busy and chaotic.

Everyone wants Travis.

Someone must have told the crowd that he’s here because a huge roar goes up from inside the stadium.

We get to the backstage area and I can see the crowd. A huge, colorful mass of humanity, yelling and cheering. This stadium holds seventy thousand people. I’ve never seen so many people together in one place before in my life and it’s daunting, imagining what it might be like to sing to that.

And I can’t believe all this is for him and, after everything, all the songs we sang and the wild intimacy of our bodies and our minds over the past few days, he never told me. “Travis. Why didn’t you—”

But I’m interrupted by a pretty dark-haired girl, who storms up to Travis and grabs the front of his shirt with her fist. “I’m literally going to kill you.” Then her gaze slides to me. And to the way Travis’s arm is very protectively looped around me. She stares at Travis, then at me.

“Roxie,” he says. “Meet Ruby. Ruby, this is my very understanding, calm and reasonable sister, Roxie.”

“Hi, Roxie.”

I can definitely see the family resemblance, in the shape and color of her very-green eyes, which are watching me with a hint of wariness. “Nice to meet you, Ruby. And by the way, I’m none of those things. I’m an irate and stressed out mess and it’s all his fault.”

“Actually,” Travis drawls, “it’s Ruby’s fault.” He grins down at me and I feel myself blush. As a trickle of moisture drips down my thigh. Travis’s gaze is sort of hot, like he knows this and is happy about it.

Two men approach us and—wow—they look a lot like Travis. They have the same tall, muscular build, that straight-to-the-gut X-factor. One is dark-haired with a lot of tattoos and the other one has longer hair and incredibly blue eyes. They’re both gorgeous. And they’re both staring at me like I just flew in from outer space. Their gazes sweep all the way down to my feet then slowly back up again. Considering I was locked inside a glorified convent not even a week ago, it’s sort of dizzying to find myself here, with the brawny arm of an ultra-sexy rock star slung possessively around me as his two hot brothers check me out, no doubt noticing how flushed and wild-eyed I am from the outrageously enlightening events of the past few days … including the lingering endorphin rush of my most recent orgasm and the tickling slide of Travis’s cum dripping down my leg. Yikes.

“Now I get it,” says the dark-haired brother. “I’m Vaughn,” he says to me. “This is Kade.”

“My brothers,” says Travis, still holding me close to his body, as though he doesn’t want them getting too close to me. “Ruby Hayes.”

“Hey, Ruby,” says Kade, as he hands Travis a guitar. “We thought he’d been kidnapped.”

Fresh heat warms my face because they seem to all know exactly what Travis and I have been up to for the past two days straight and they’re intrigued by me, the mystery stranger who’s kept him hidden away. They watch me with that same wariness as Roxie did, tough, like they’re assessing my motives when it comes to their brother.

Even with all this going on, I need to know. I’m angry that he kept something this huge from me. I glare up at Travis’s face. “Why didn’t you tell me about this, Travis? It didn’t even occur to you to tell me who you actually are? That you’re some bigshot famous superstar? After everything we’ve talked about? Why would you leave that out? Why did you do that?”

“Because I didn’t want it to get in the way,” he says.

“In the way of what?”

“Of how you felt about me. Without all the hype. Just me.”

“But—”
