Gifts for the Season(110)
Author: R.J. Scott

He nodded, shuffling close enough to drape a thigh over mine, and I shivered at the contact. “I’ve thought about this every night for the last four months.”

I swallowed past the lump in my throat. My stubbornness had cost us all that time. “I’m so—”

“Shh.” He cut off my apology with soft fingers pressed against my lips. Then replaced them with his mouth.

Rolling onto my back, I took him with me as we kissed, urging him to let me take all his weight. His cock pressed against mine, hard and heavy, and I spread my legs to accommodate him.

Pushing up onto his elbows, Tom looked down at me, eyes dark and heavy-lidded. “Can you come like this?” He ground his hips slowly, the friction making my breath catch.

Fuck yeah, I could definitely get off like this. Probably all too quickly.

“I don’t think that’ll be a problem.” I gave a little grind of my own, gratified when he closed his eyes and moaned. “Lasting longer than thirty seconds might be, though.”

His huff of laughter tickled my neck, and when he opened them, his eyes were full of mischief. “You’re not on your own there.”

Gratified that I wasn’t the only feeling like that, I wrapped my legs around his back and drew him down for another kiss. Naked frottage wasn’t the way I’d thought this night would end, but thank god, I’d been wrong about that.

With every roll of his hips, Tom’s cock rubbed against mine. Precome eased the slide, the heady scent of sex rising up between us. I wanted this moment to last, but the pleasure building low in my belly felt too good not to chase. I met him thrust for thrust, clinging to his shoulders as my balls drew up tight.

“Tom . . .”

I came with his name on my lips, head thrust back against the pillow. Tom followed a few moments later and promptly collapsed on top of me with a sigh.

“Fuck, Jared.”

“Yeah.” It was all I could manage, still lost in the afterglow of coming.

We lay there in silence, his body a comforting weight, grounding me. We’d crossed a line, one I didn’t think we could come back from.

Propping himself up on his elbow, Tom peered down at me, expression far too serious all of a sudden. “You okay?”

Do you regret what we’ve just done? I heard his unspoken question loud and clear.

I smiled up at him, stroking a thumb down his cheek. “Yeah, I’m good.” I don’t regret anything.

After cleaning us both with a T-shirt I suspected was mine, Tom lay on his back and pulled me against him and ran a hand through my hair. “Thank fuck I stopped at those services.”

“Mhmm.” I was already dropping off to sleep, but his words roused me a little. “Why did you?”

“Forgot my phone charger and my phone only had five per cent. Didn’t want to risk travelling home with no charge.” He yawned, jaw cracking, and pulled me closer.

“I’m glad you stopped too.” I snuggled into his side and let sleep take me, trying not to think about what would’ve happened if he hadn’t.

None of that mattered now.

I woke to the sound of soft snores filling the room, and it took me a moment to remember where I was.

Fuck me, did that really happen last night?

Careful so as not to wake him, I turned over to see Tom lying on his back, flat out asleep. The bed was huge, so we weren’t touching, but Tom was like a furnace, and I burrowed under the quilt a little more, letting his warmth and scent surround me.

We’d not drunk much last night, so my memories of events were crystal clear this time around. I smiled into my pillow, a big wide grin that hurt my cheeks.

“What are you grinning about?”

I startled and looked over to see Tom now awake and staring at me. He was adorably sleep rumpled, hair all over the place and pillow creases on his cheek. He’d never looked better.

After baring our souls last night, it was a relief to just say what I was thinking.

No more hiding things from him.

Or me.

“I’m happy.” I sighed and reached across the space between us to link our fingers.

He grinned back at me. “Me too.” He tugged on my hand until I shuffled across the bed and plastered myself against him. “That’s better.”

“Mhmm.”

We were both naked, skin on skin wherever we touched, and even though my morning wood needed no encouragement, the scent of sex clinging to the sheets had me hard as a rock. I couldn’t resist rubbing up against his thigh.

Tom’s huff of laughter turned into a moan as I reached for his equally hard cock and gave it a leisurely stroke. Now I was allowed to touch him, I didn’t want to ever stop.

“Do we have time?” he asked, pushing up into my fist.

The blackout curtains did their job, but light seeped through where we’d not closed them properly. Bright, glaring sunlight by the look of things.

“I dunno,” I murmured, kissing along the side of his neck. What time do you reckon it is?” We’d been up till late, but surely we’d not overslept that much? I had no idea where my phone had got to, and I wasn’t all too fussed about moving to go find it.

Thankfully Tom found his without needing to get out of bed. “Eleven fifteen.” I heard the clatter as he set it back on the bedside table. “Plenty of time.”

We had to checkout by midday but I doubted either of us would be lasting long. I tugged on his hip until he complied and rolled onto his side. Taking both of us in hand, I groaned at the feeling of him against me.

Sleepy morning sex had never held all that much appeal before, but at the moment, I couldn’t imagine anything better. Each stroke reminded me that we were here, together. This was real.

I’d wanted it for so long, I needed to feel him to know I wasn’t dreaming. Familiar tingling started low in my belly, and I tightened my grip, moaning against his throat.

When his hand joined mine, I closed my eyes and let the pleasure sweep me up and carry me along.

Sweaty and sticky, we faced each other, both sporting matching smiles.

“Best way to wake up.” Tom leant in to kiss me, soft but lingering enough that I sighed into it.

“Yeah.” I glanced at the curtains again. “Do you think the snow’s gone?” I was loath to leave the sanctuary of our bed, but we both had places to be today. And we had to check out before they charged us for another night.

“Only one way to find out.” Tom hopped out of bed, and I watched shamelessly as he crossed the room and peeked out the window. More sunlight flooded the room until he let the curtain fall back into place. “It’s melting pretty quickly by the looks of things.”

Which was great news, only my stomach dropped in disappointment. Not that I’d wanted to be stranded here, but . . .

“Hey.” Tom sat on the edge of the bed and reached out to cup my jaw. “As much as I’d like to stay here for a while longer”—his small, intimate smile did funny things to my insides—“it’s Christmas Eve.”

Fuck, of course it was. I scrubbed a hand over my face. “Yeah.”

My mum would be at the hospital by now, but she’d be home later, and I wanted to be there to meet her.

“Besides . . .” He took both my hands in his. “This isn’t the end of things. It’s just the beginning.”
