Rhone's Rebel(26)
Author: TL Travis

“When we hang up I’ll text you my address.”

“I’ll be there soon and Ely,” Rhone said.

“Yes?”

“Don’t change. Don’t do your hair or make-up. I don’t care about all of that, I just need to hold you.”

I swear I swooned, like literally dramatic hand over my forehead swooned.

“’Kay, see you soon.” I jumped up, frantically cleaning up my side of the room — which was already tidy, but I was jittery with anticipation. Running out of my room, I began picking up everything that was out of place. Rhone texted me once he received my address and said he was only twenty minutes away. What if he hates where I live? Hard not to, even I hated where I lived but at least it was a roof over my head. Roommates. Ugh, what if one of my roommates did something stupid while he’s here? That was the scenario most likely to happen, hopefully he’d see past whatever stupid antics they exhibited and not hold it against me.

“What are you doing?” Leo asked as he emerged from the bathroom in nothing more than a towel.

“My boyfriend is coming over. I’m trying to clean up.”

“Boyfriend?” Dane asked as he and Ash came out of their room. I was pretty sure they were hooking up, but that was none of my business.

“Yes, I um, have a boyfriend,” I admitted.

“Really?” Leo said condescendingly. Just then, the doorbell rang.

“Yes and you’re about to meet him. Please, I beg of you guys, don’t embarrass me.”

“You act like he’s the king of some country and we’re all peasants,” Dane spat defiantly.

You have no idea.

I ran for the door, tripping over my too long pajama pants. Story of my life…and hit the back of the door with a thud.

“Ely?” Rhone called out from the other side.

Could this be any more embarrassing? I glanced back at my roommates. Yes, yes it could be.

Opening the door, I was instantly scooped up in those arms I missed. His lips came crashing down on mine, sighing as I melted into him.

“Are you okay, babe?” Rhone asked when we parted.

“Yeah, just another shot to my rapidly dwindling pride.” I took his hand, and lead him inside. All three of my roommates were staring at us, mouths gaping.

“No fucking way,” Leo said. I tilted my head in question. “You have got to be joking?”

“What do you mean?” I asked, getting ready to lay into him for his rude behavior.

“You’re dating Rhone Horne as in Embrace the Fear’s drummer Rhone Horne?” Leo replied. Suddenly it hit me, I’d forgotten he listened to the kind of music Rhone played.

“Hey man,” Rhone said, holding his free hand out to Leo. The other was protectively wrapped around my waist. “Nice to meet you. You’ve heard of us?”

“Heard of you? I just stood in line for five hours to get tickets to your show at the Grand,” Leo told him.

“Right on, thanks man.”

“Show?” I asked.

“That’s what I came over to tell you. Not only did we finish the CD, but Easton booked us two shows in Vegas. One at Excalibur and the other at MGM grand in December. I got you backstage passes for both. Wasn’t sure which one you could go to or maybe both?” Rhone said.

“I’ll try for both. Make sure to give me all the info. Maybe I can get the days off from work and go up there when you guys head up?” I mentioned.

“That would be great, babe.” Rhone leaned in and kissed me again.

“How? When? How?” Leo stuttered, pointing between Rhone and me.

“We met a couple weeks ago and hit it off, we’ve been dating since,” Rhone told him. I couldn’t thank him enough for coming to my rescue as quickly as he had.

“Rhone, this is Leo, that’s Dane and beside him is Ash. These are my roommates,” I said, making the introductions.

Rhone waved. “Nice to meet you guys.” Dane and Ash cleared out, Leo kept muttering Rhone’s name and I was thankful when our bedroom door shut, and I could no longer hear him. “Finally alone,” Rhone said once they were all tucked away behind closed doors.

“I’m so happy to see you,” I said, throwing my arms around his neck. “But I’m glad you got the CD done.” Taking his hand, we walked over to the kitchen. “Do you want something to drink?”

“Bottle of water if you have it?” Rhone asked.

Please let there be some. Please let there be some. Yes, I cheered internally snagging the last two bottles from the fridge. “Here you go.”

“So,” Rhone began as we sat on the couch. “Who do you share a room with?”

“Ugh, Leo and he’s so messy,” I whispered, picking at a tear on the couch cushion. Prior to this moment, I’d not thought much about our used furniture. Now, I was embarrassed by it.

“Ha-ha.” Rhone laughed.

“What’s so funny?”

“I bet you get an earful after I leave considering he’s the only one who knew who I was. I didn’t want to offer in front of him, but if you want me to get him backstage passes I can?” Rhone said.

“Let me see how he acts after this and I’ll let you know,” I told him.

“You got it. Come ‘ere.” Rhone guided me to straddle his lap. “Hi,” he said, gazing up at me.

“Hi,” I whispered, gazing down into his honey eyes, how could I have missed him as much as I did.

His grip tightened on my hips. “Kiss me,” he moaned. The thin cotton pants I had on would do nothing to hide the erection springing to life. Seemed like my body was making up for lost time before Rhone came along. My cock had a hair trigger with Rhone’s name on it.

The kisses deepened as our tongues glided together. The room filled with sounds of lips smacking and errant moans. I caught myself grinding against Rhone, his erection matching mine, erasing the previous embarrassment I had. He wanted me as much as I wanted him.

“Ely,” Rhone moaned, his lips trailing along my chin and down my neck. I should be ashamed of the sounds I was making while shamelessly grinding against him. But I wasn’t. His hands cupped my butt, sliding me back and forth over his erection. I wouldn’t be able to take much more before coming in my pants.

“Rhone, gonna. Gonna come,” I whimpered, halting all motion before reaching detonation.

“God, me too, Ely. Is there somewhere private we can go to you know, take care of these?” He asked, glancing down at our crotches.

I chewed my bottom lip, thinking long and hard. Hehe, hard…about where we could go. The bathroom was free, but I didn’t trust the state we’d find it in. Leo chose that moment to emerge, fully dressed. He looked over at us, shook his head and mumbled something about needing to get laid then left.

“I think Leo just solved our problem,” Rhone said. Sliding off his lap, I grabbed his hand as we made a mad dash for the bedroom. Once inside, I froze realizing he was in my personal space. Alone. He’d probably want us both to be naked. Alone. In my bed. Unsupervised kind of alone. I was panicking.

“Ely, deep breaths. Remember, you call the shots. You want me to leave and I do, no hard feelings. Well, one thing will still be hard, but you know what I mean,” Rhone said.
