“She kissed me.” He walked over to her and gripped her arms. “Ben left before he saw me push her away and he accused me of stepping out on you.”
“Did you?” She asked him coolly.
“I swear to you on everything that I hold dear. You and my boys that I did not entertain kissing or touching her, nor did I encourage her. She took me by surprise baby and as I said, I pushed her away when I got over my shock.” He ran his hands up and down her arms. “I have been feeling guilty ever since. Please tell me that you believe me baby. I would never cheat on you.”
“I believe you.”
“You do?”
“Ask me why?”
“Why?”
“Because I am your wife and the mother of those two beautiful boys in the nursery a few doors down. I am confident and a terrific businesswoman and I would kill you and any bitch that comes between us. That is how I know that you would never cheat on me.”
He stared at her for a moment, his hands dropping away from her arms. She turned and walked over to the bed, taking the robe off and getting in. “Aren’t you coming?”
“I am not sure. Do you have a knife there?”
“Nope,” She patted the space next to her. “Just this body that belongs totally to you.”
“And I want you to know that mine belongs only to you.” He murmured as he took off his robe and his underwear. “Everything.”
She reached for his stiff erection as soon as he was next to her and squeezed. “I already know that.” She leaned forward and touched her tongue to the bruise. “Poor baby.” She whispered.
“It really hurts, he murmured, moving restlessly beneath her fingers.
“Don’t milk it,” She ran her tongue over his sensuous bottom lip and felt when he quivered. “It’s not sexy.”
“Okay.” He shifted so that she was lying beneath him. He framed her face with his hands, brushing away the thick curls. “I love you baby. I never knew that I could ever love someone the way I do you. You and those two boys are my life and I never want you to doubt that. I am head over heels in love with you woman and I will always be.”
“That’s good because I am head over heels, completely in love with you too. And I have no intention of losing you.”
“You won’t.” he touched his lips to hers. “Never, you never have to doubt me or the way I feel about you.”
“Good.” She lifted her hands and ran her fingers through his hair. “You are so gorgeous that at first I used to think that this handsome, rich guy would never be into me. He could have his pick of women and I am pretty sure it is not me.” She trailed her fingers down his face. “I tortured myself into thinking of you with other women and me competing with them. Then you showed me that you cared. You believed in me – stood up to my mother for me. Wanted to erase my miserable past and I started to believe that we could really work. We are working Gray, really working as crazy as it looks and sounds, and I never want to be without you or our boys.”
“You won’t be.” He ran his tongue over her lips. “I love you baby. You make me so hot for you that I cannot control myself when I am with you.” He kissed her lips and then the corner of her mouth, going to her cheek and up to her eyes. Reaching between them he entered her, sinking into her warmth, his body shuddering. “Don’t move.” He whispered against her lips.
“Why?”
“I want to last a little bit longer and when you move it feels like I am having an epileptic moment.”
“Is that bad?” she whispered, deliberately moving.
“I told you to stay still,” his tongue entered her mouth and he started to move inside her. Shelby wrapped her hands around his neck, her fingers digging into his muscled shoulders as she moved with him. Gray felt when his heart picked up speed and thundered into his chest. His mouth delved and explored hers, the movement thorough and evocative. He tore his mouth from hers, his breathing labored as he placed his forehead on hers, taking deep breaths. “I need a minute,” he told her hoarsely. “This is intense.”
“I don’t want you to stop,” She ran her fingers down his back and felt when he shuddered.
“That’s not helping baby.”
“I really do not want you to stop.” She moved suggestively beneath him and he could not help but start to move as well.
“My love,” he whispered achingly as he started moving again. “I can’t control it.” He lifted her leg as he drove into her. “My wife, my best friend.” He ran his hands restlessly over her hips. His lips raced over her face before touching her lips. She opened her mouth and his tongue plunged into her mouth, his rapacious and hungry. Shelby felt the fire eating away at her body, plunging through her with a fierceness that took her breath away. She clung to him, her body heaving towards his as the powerful climax climbed through her body, desperate for release. He tore his mouth from hers – his breathing erratic, his body inflamed and spinning out of control! “Let go,” he whispered. “Come with me baby.”
“I love you.” She whispered back. “So much.”
The explosion started then for both of them, taking them and sending them crashing, whirling in space, the climax tearing through their bodies and spinning them along with it. She sobbed against his chest, her body trembling as she held him against her. He held her tight in his arms, feeling the wetness of her tears on his chest. He waited until the trembling had stopped, until his heart had slowed its beat and his body had stopped shuddering before he eased off her. She dug her fingers into his back to keep him there.
“I am crushing you baby.”
“I don’t care.” She told him as she lifted her face to his.
“I do.” He eased away and pulled her into his arms. “How are you?”
“I think I am dead.” She whispered against his chest. “I don’t think I can feel my legs or my pubic.” She kissed his chest.
“If you are then so am I.” he told her as he kissed her nose. “My dad cheated on my mother twice.”
“Oh,” She stared at him. “I thought they were completely in love.”
“They were of course but he – “he sighed and tried again. “They were in love Shelby, but I think my dad was swayed by the fact that he was this handsome guy who had a lot of money and gave into the hype of who he was.” He moved his shoulders restlessly. “At least that’s my take on it.”
“You are a handsome man with a lot of money. And you are richer than your dad was.” She pointed out. “But that is not going to happen to you my darling.”
“It’s not.” He assured her, taking her seriously. “I promise you that.”
“I know that.”
“Good.” He traced his finger down her cheek. “You are enough for me.”
“Good.” She echoed him. “How does it make you feel about your dad?”
He shrugged. “I don’t know. I guess it makes me realize that he is human and that he had his faults. It is really hard for me to believe that he cheated on a woman like my mother.”
“She was so beautiful.” Shelby murmured as she slid into his arms.
