Fall From Grace (Medici Warrior # 4)(151)
Author: Emily Bex

He stopped in his tracks and stared at the mortal. His gums itched as his fangs ached to break through. She was blonde, with blue eyes, tall, slender, and well-proportioned. She reminded him of Rissa. He looked at his watch. “Can you meet me later?”

She looked back at him coquettishly. “Of course, just name the time and place.”

“I’m at the Hilton, the Presidential suite. Come after eleven. My staffers have cleared out by then.”

Jessica gave him a knowing smile and answered, “No problem. But just so I’m clear, is this visit on the record or off the record?”

For the first time in months, Alec felt the thrill of the hunt. “Oh, it’s definitely off the record.”

He climbed back on the bus with Braden and the other staffers as they headed back to the hotel. He knew the drill. They’d all congregate in his hotel suite and go through a debriefing of the day’s events, examining what worked and what didn’t, and then they’d go over the agenda for tomorrow. Alec was antsy throughout the evening, and Braden kept asking him if he was okay.

“I’m okay, Braden. Could we just wrap this up, please?”

After a few hours, the crowd exited his suite and he was finally alone. He was loosening his tie when he heard the light tap at his door. He opened the door to find the blonde reporter, holding a bottle of wine. “Is now a good time?”

He opened the door for her, as she entered the room with confidence. “I brought us some wine. Can I pour you a glass?”

He closed the door and slowly turned to her. “I have my own blend, but please, pour a glass for you, and get comfortable. I was just about to get undressed, myself.”

Jessica grabbed a glass from the bar and poured the white wine for herself. She saw the dark bottle of Midnight sitting on the bar. “Is this your poison? I’d be happy to fix you a glass.”

As he pulled the tie free from his neck, he started to unbutton the starched white shirt. “Please.”

She returned with the two glasses of wine and took a seat on the ample couch. She’d been following his campaign from the beginning and had been planning to vote for him. She’d been at other rallies in Ohio, and was intrigued by him, but his wife, not so much. She couldn’t say she’d spent any time mourning over the loss of his bitchy wife, and then she saw he was on schedule to make a campaign stop right here in her home town, she couldn’t resist the opportunity to try to get up close and personal.

She set his glass on the coffee table, as she took a few sips from her own glass, and watched, mesmerized, as the white shirt slid off his broad shoulders. She’d hoped she’d understood his meaning when he said their visit was off the record, but if she had any doubts before, the Senator was making his intent crystal clear.

Alec tossed the shirt aside, and removed his belt, looping it in his right hand as he snapped the belt against his leg. “Have you been a bad girl, Jessica?”

She giggled nervously, wondering what she’d gotten herself into, but was eager to find out. She kicked off her heels and slid her bare legs under her. “I guess it depends on what you mean by bad.”

He liked that she didn’t appear afraid and was willing to explore. Sitting down next to her, he told her to drink up. She looked at him quizzically before downing the wine.

He waited as she emptied the glass. “Do you want another glass?”

She laughed. “Am I going to need another glass?”

His smile was seductive, his eyes had a glint of pure evil, and she couldn’t turn away. “That will depend on you, my darling. Do you have a safe word?”

She looked confused as he took the empty glass from her hand. “A what?”

He chuckled. “Never mind, I never paid attention to safe words anyhow.”

Before she was able to process his comment, he’d pulled her across his lap, when he lifted her skirt, his hand cupping the roundness of her ass. He stroked her slowly before pinching the firm flesh and she yelped, excited by his aggressiveness, and yet frightened at the same time. He could feel her sexual desire, and picked up the scent of her sex.

“Too much? Do you want me to stop? I’d hate to stop now, Jessica. There’s so much to teach you.”

Instinctively, she knew she should end this before it got out of hand. This was more than she’d bargained for, but his voice, his eyes. She felt drawn to him, unable to resist. Against her better judgment, she responded. “No, not too much.”

He slid her panties down, his hand caressing the smooth, white flesh. He heard her moan, as her body relaxed, and he took that moment to strike her hard with the belt, the leather leaving a sharp red mark across her ass. She cried out as his hand slides over her mouth, muffling the sound of her cry.

He picked her up and carried her to his bed, where her arms and legs were tied down. She struggled against his unnatural strength and started to scream when his hand covered her mouth again. His face was only inches from hers, as he shushed her. “Do I need to gag you too? Or are you going to play nice?”

She looked back at him, her eyes wide with fear. What if he gagged her? What if she couldn’t breathe? “I’ll play nice.”

His smile was evil as he looked at her, trembling in fear, and her fear excited him. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d hunted a mortal, and he’d forgotten what a pleasure it was.

“Yes, you will. You’re going to do whatever I want, aren’t you, my darling?” He ripped her clothes from her with little effort, and she listened to the sound of the seams tearing away. He stood over her, admiring her nakedness, and she’d never felt more vulnerable.

“Please, don’t hurt me.”

He removed his own clothes as he climbed on top of her. “It’s a little late to be worrying about that, don’t you think?”

He took her over and over again, feeding deeply each time he fucked her. Despite her fear, he made her cum, her body responding to his skillful hands and large cock. He fed until he was filled, the hunger finally abated, and then he fell asleep beside her.

She lay beside him, caught in a space between exhaustion and unconsciousness. He drank my blood. He has fangs. I saw them, I clearly saw them! It was her last thought before she slipped back into the darkness, her arms and legs still shackled.

Braden was an early riser, always had been. He woke before the sun was up, and it was still dark in his room. He felt the warmth of the feeder who’d shared his bed last night. He didn’t remember her name. Sitting up, he turned on the lamp on the bedside table, as the soft light illuminated the room. He felt her nestle down under the covers, seeking a few more minutes of sleep.

“Get up, get dressed. I need you to leave before there’s a lot of activity.”

The feeder reluctantly drew back the blankets and looked at him. “Should I return tonight?”

He was already standing and heading for the showers. “I’ll let you know.”

Braden could hear the door close in his hotel room when she left. He finished up his shower, shaved, and dried off quickly. He wanted to read the morning papers and check the TV news before he met with Alec and the staffers.

Stepping out of the bathroom, wearing only a towel, he grabbed the TV remote and turned on the news. He stepped outside his door to find the stack of newspapers from across the country he requested be left for him, The New York Times, The Washington Post, as well as the local papers.
