My hands went into Kacey’s hair as hers came to rest on my hips. I took in a sharp breath as her fingers slipped underneath my shirt and pushed into the skin just above the waistline of my jeans.
I removed my lips from hers and began placing kisses along her neck. She tilted her head back to give me more space to kiss as her hands continued to move higher, first tracing circles along my stomach then moving over my bra. When she gave my breasts the slightest squeeze, I instinctively sucked at her neck, which elicited the sexiest moan I had ever heard.
I forced myself to pull back so Kacey could lift my shirt over my head. It was her turn to kiss my neck as she reached behind me to unclasp my bra. Kacey nodded her head and I could have sworn I saw some wetness forming at the corners of her eyes. “I’m so incredibly in love with you too, Kari.” She chuckled softly. “But you already knew that, didn’t you?”
When I tilted my head, she rolled her eyes at me. “Come on, we both know you heard my confession on New Year’s Eve. That’s why you disappeared, isn’t it?”
I swallowed hard, now embarrassed by the way I had acted following that night. “I didn’t disappear because of your confession. I disappeared because of how scared you sounded to say it.”
Kacey ran a hand through my hair and twirled the end between her fingers. “I was scared you would never be able to love me fully, the way I need you to.”
“Well, I do. I love you with all my heart, Kacey. I’m all in.”
Kacey nodded her head, a serious look surfacing on her face. “Do you trust me?”
“With my life.”
That’s all she needed to hear to continue what we started. She kissed me desperately as her body began to grind against mine, already causing stars to appear in my vision from the pure ecstasy of the moment. She pulled back after a few seconds, looking breathtaking with her chest heaving up and down and dots of sweat forming on her forehead. “I need to taste you.
