California Love(18)
Author: TK Cherry

I frown. “What did he tell you?”

“That all this time, he wished he’d taken me to the eighth-grade dance instead of Trish Spencer.”

I knew he was up to no good. I read that motherfucker just like a book. If I showed up to that booth later than I did, he would’ve been trying to shove his tongue down her throat.

“It’s a little too late for him to backtrack on a decision he made a long time ago, don’t you think?” I click my tongue, verbally morphing my question mark into a period.

“Oh, most definitely.” She nods adamantly. “It’s kinda cool, though, to be thought of as attractive to someone. First, with Bobby. Then, with the mysterious stranger who waltzes on the scene, pretending to stake his claim,” she chuckles. “And to top it off, the stranger buys me jewelry,” she adds, proudly brandishing the new purchase on her wrist.

When I reach down and cup her face, she freezes.

“You are drop dead gorgeous, Quen Waverly. You’re beautiful inside and out. If someone doesn’t see that, then they’re legally blind.”

Out of nowhere, in pops a man with a camera in hand and a Leer County Strawberry Festival badge pinned to his chest. The name printed on the badge reads Tim. “So sorry to interrupt, but I was wondering if this handsome couple would be interested in taking a free photo?”

“Sure,” I answer without hesitation.

Quen is taken aback but reluctantly cooperates. She turns straight ahead as the guy gets in position. I pull her right into my side, holding her close. I can feel her body stiffening up before she relaxes.

“Smile,” the photographer sings. He snaps several quick photos before handing a business card to Quen that includes a web address and password.

For the second straight night, Quen and I lose track of time and prolong our journey to Carmel.

We’ve been conversing all day long as we leisurely stroll the fairgrounds. Our conversation ran the gamut from our families, to business, to sports. We make it back to the car and stop at a nearby restaurant for dinner before resuming our drive. As soon as the sun begins to set, I pull over into a nice little spot in a grassy hilltop, where we have a perfect view of the sunset across the vineyard.

Here we sit—in my car with the top down, taking in the fresh air and the breathtaking scenery. Before we both realize it, I’m reaching for her in the seat next to me, and she’s laying her head flat across my chest. I kiss the crown of her head.

“I’m so sorry,” I chuckle under my breath. “We’ll get you to that beach house. Eventually.”

She laughs. “I’m sure I’ll still get there before Blair. At least I hope.”

“You will.”

She lets out a sudden, audible gasp, taken aback by the magnificent view straight head. “Wow,” she whispers.

My thoughts exactly. But instead of staring at the setting sun as she is, I’m looking down at her while she’s wrapped tight in my arms. Her head shifts upward, and she catches me staring at her.

“Did you have a good time today?” I ask softly.

She nods, and I swear I catch a spark of longing, the very same look I’m probably giving her. Before we both know it, our faces eclipse one another’s until our lips meet. On impact, we both let out a deep exhale. Our kiss rises in fervor, introducing our tongues into the mix. She tastes like heaven—rain, salty, and sweet—all at the same fucking time.

We kiss until the moonlight provides a blissful backdrop to the magic we’re now experiencing. My lips fit perfectly with hers, as though they were made for each other.

She pulls back after a while, throwing me off. Her face is cloaked with regret, which induces a squeeze in my chest.

“What about your girlfriend?” she whispers in a panic.

“Huh?” I frown. “There isn’t anyone.”

Her shoulders instantly sag in relief, and I pull her back to my mouth.

We forget what is and what was, and simply let go.

I don’t know exactly when and how we checked into the Holiday Inn in Warrick. I don’t exactly recall when I told the attendant I wanted one room with a single bed. But somehow, it happened.

I don’t wait for the hotel room door to close all the way before I take Quen Waverly in my arms and kiss her madly. Our hands are all over each other as thirty-six hours of pent up sexual frustration bursts forth.

“Quen—I want you so bad right now,” I growl. My mouth attacks her throat, and my hands explore the jeans covering her nice round ass.

“Oh God, yes,” she gasps.

Hell fuck yes.

Thank God I had the foresight to grab condoms at our first pit stop yesterday. It doesn’t take very long for me to strip her naked, kissing every inch of her soft skin along the way before tossing her into the bed.

Like a surgeon prepping for operation, I make haste in pulling off my shoes and shirt. I retrieve the condom from my front pocket before discarding my jeans and underwear. Her sight flits down to my hard cock, and her eyes widen.

You see something you like, Miss Waverly?

Don’t you worry, sweetheart. I’m going to give it all to you.

I climb into bed at her feet and proceed to kiss a trail up her gorgeous body. I go past her knee, up her thigh, and across her hipbone. She writhes beneath me, and I groan. I kiss her flat stomach. Her navel. The needy sounds she makes encourage me to do more.

My mouth makes its way to her breast where I give each one special attention. I’ve been imagining these gorgeous tits in my mouth since the day I first met her. My mouth watered at the way her nipples pressed against her white tank top. I’m thrilled that my sensual fantasy with Quen will finally be a reality.

After tasting her mouth for a good while, I slowly savor the path back south with my lips. I want to make sure she never remembers the name Jake for as long as she lives.

My tongue wreaks havoc on her sex.

“Ah!” she cries out.

She’s in sheer ecstasy as I continue my ministrations with no mercy until she comes in my mouth, granting me an even sweeter taste of her. Not long after that, I’m crouching over her on my knees between her thighs. I roll the condom over my eager erection.

I look down at her like a king on his throne, taking in her want and stirring it up with mine. I lower myself until my warm skin presses against hers.

Then, I slowly enter her.

Quen

I’ve never had anyone take me like that in my entire life.

Oh.

My.

Lord.

Drew completely blew me away last night. I woke up this morning clinging to him like a spider monkey. To my surprise, he was awake before I was.

Before deciding to take turns in the shower and heading over to the lobby for the free breakfast, we reenact last night. Although last night was beyond spectacular, this time, it was even better.

Holy shit—I didn’t think such a thing was humanly possible, but he showed me. Morning sex with Drew O’Brien: There’s nothing like it on fucking earth. That man does things to me that ignite my entire body from top to bottom. His sexual prowess is beyond comprehension.

It’s after five o’clock when we finally crawl into Sacramento. Today’s drive didn’t seem as hectic, even though we encountered the same bumper-to-bumper traffic as yesterday. Maybe we have the stress-releasing sex to thank for a much more relaxed experience in the California southbound detour madness.
