I didn't have time for his nonsense since when did he find it appropriate to question my actions? He knows better.
Today him and him I say to Blake listen, this is none of your concern I'm just going to take her out to get her some clothes.

He walks up to Irina and touches her hair.

He laughs and says, "Well someone is getting really protective? Hmm, well hurry up because when you're done with her I will have my chance to fuck her too before you hand her over to Sergei."

Livid, I tell him to stop it.
He laughs and laughs because that is what he does.
He says what's gotten into you?
I say to him, "Sergei would not be pleased with this." He laughed once more and says "Dmitri? all of a sudden you are concerned about Dimitri? What has gotten into you? You know the deal. Getting into the car, I turned to her and smile.
I tell her, "It is not as bad as Blake says."

I tell her we are going to a favorite restaurant of mine.
She smiles, leans back and relaxes.
As we drive along the road I asked, "why is it you're not excited to marry Dimitri is one the most powerful man in the world."
"I know a lot of women will be so excited to have that opportunity for me. it has to do with my past. I mean I've known Dimitri for longtime I never thought that someday he would ask to marry me. Didn't help that my father was quite a womanizer. He had a lot of women I guess that's shaped my views on men as well as the way he treated my mother. Then sometimes I tell myself that I can handle it all. I tell myself that maybe I should accept his marriage proposal. besides, it will make things easier for my father. I've always wanted to please my dad."
I want to tell her the truth that her father tried to get her back. I asked her would you go back to your father if given the chance? She scoffs and says I don't think I will. If he wants me back which will be quite surprising it's because he probably has a higher bid than Dimitri's.
There's always a catch. I nodded and kept on driving until we got to our destination. It's a restaurant that is not just any restaurant, it's a favorite of mine one that has my back.
The lady who owns the restaurant knows me. They treat me like family.
I needed to talk to someone.
We step out the car.
The lady looks curiously at Irina. She smiles briefly and ushers us into the restaurant.
She says, "I have the finest meal prepared."

I wonder will she try running away?
But then this will be a test.
She knows there's nowhere to hide.
Besides she has had prior opportunities to do so. Plus she has me catching feelings.I walk to the back room with Mary who looks concerned.
"You know damn well that bringing her here was not the right thing to do so why is she here?" Mary said to me. She knew me better than anyone else. So I couldn't lie to her.
I simply said "Oh she's here because you know how it is with all of Dimitri's women. I get first dibs."
She laughed and said, "it's not always like that and you know it. This one is different. I can see a spark in your eyes. There is something about the way you look when you stare into her eyes. I've never seen you like this, Lars."
I shrugged my shoulders and laugh.
I'm pretty good at feigning ignorance. It's something I have perfected.
I said to her, "listen I came to have a nice lunch and to see you again. I'm just with her. you know it's not special. it's just...."
She cuts me off. Then she said, "Don't lie. I can see it in your face the more you try to hide it, the more it shows you have feelings for this woman."
I swallowed and say to her, "I guess we'll be leaving then."
Surprised by my reaction, she tries to stop me from leaving.
But then I hurried into the dining section.
Irina stares up at me and waves. I immediately grab her hand and lead her out of the restaurant.
Stunned by my reaction, Irina asked: "Is everything okay?"
I stay silent.
Instead, I open the car door and usher her into the vehicle.
I get in the driver seat and start the engines.
She stares at me. She's not buying it.
She knows there's something definitely wrong.
She can see it in my face.
She starts speaking but I stay silent.
Then she tells me about her father and his womanizing ways.
She lets me know that that's why she can never trust men. She can not get past that the hurt and pain he caused her mother, especially since he almost killed her.
She then asked, "So what about you what you like and like? I did not respond instead I kept on driving. She asked what we're going and I said we're going back to the mansion.
Her eyes widened in shock.
She said "I thought we were going to have lunch and probably spend time together? I want to know more."
I don't know what came over me, but I blurted out: "I guess I was confused for a moment there. I am not anymore. I need to get you back to the mansion where you belong!"
"What?"
"Yes, you are going back to the mansion."
She frowns, folds her hands and leans back on the chair.
She wonders what has gotten into me.
She tries to pry.
But I don't let her in. Instead, I say to her, "I would like to keep everything to myself." She gasps and leans back on the chair. Silence ensues all the way home.
Soon we arrive at the mansion. I open her door and reach for her hand.
She pulled away and quipped, "if I'm going to be here. I might as well keep my dignity."
She then steps out the car and walks into the home.
I felt bad I wished I could get her away from all this... but it is going to take some time and planning.

I walked back into my room and closed the door behind me.
