Drew (Cerberus MC #15)(59)
Author: Marie James

“I’m just happy you two got your heads out of your asses and are finally together. You know if you moved in together, you wouldn’t have to schedule time in a hotel.”

“That’s crazy. Don’t you think it’s too soon for that?”

“You guys love each other and you have a child together. I’d say that time came a long time ago.”

Silence fills the line.

“Iz? No one is going to fault you for following your heart.”

She’d said as much the night I was drinking at her house, but I didn’t want to listen then. I’m all ears now. We haven’t exactly announced that we’re together, but we also haven’t avoided being seen holding hands and whispering to each other while people are around. I haven’t noticed any weird looks, or whispers about me being a fool. Everyone at Cerberus loves Drew.

“I know,” I tell her. “And thank you for watching Andy. We’ll drop him off soon.”

When I get off the phone with her, I check my hair and makeup one last time before heading downstairs. Drew smiles up at me, his eyes roving from the tips of my sandaled feet to my eyes.

“Wow, Iz.”

He presses his lips to my forehead when I get close enough.

“What are you wearing under that dress?”

“Nothing,” I whisper, smiling inside when a shudder runs through him.

“He’s all ready to go,” Gigi says as she carries Andy into the room.

“Dad!” our son yelps the second he lays eyes on Drew.

He smiles just as wide as he did the first time four days ago when Andy called him that. The sight of the tears shining in his eyes that day told me I’d made the right decision. We have a lot of pain to overcome, but I wasn’t lying when I told Sophia I forgave him long ago.

After both Dad and Apollo showed me the letters he wrote to them, I fully understood what I meant to him. The only thing that makes me pause is knowing all that pain was for nothing. I never stopped loving him, and despite his hateful words, they came from a place of love as well.

“Are you ready to go see Aunt Sophia?” Drew asks, his fingers tickling Andy’s ribs.

Our son wiggles in his arms, a laugh so pure and sweet coming from his smiling mouth.

“Have a good time at lunch,” Gigi says as we make our way to the door. “Use protection!”

We both shake our heads as we walk out, Drew grumbling something about not being hungry for food as we load Andy up in his truck.

“This can’t be right,” Drew mumbles as he leans forward to look out the windshield. “This is the right address for the restaurant.”

With the last right turn, we arrive at the front of a hotel.

His eyes dart in my direction. “Izzy?”

“I mean—” Heat flushes my face. “They have room service.”

He licks his lips as if the idea is enticing.

“A hotel room? For four hours?”

“Sophia said she’d keep him all night.”

“It’s eleven in the morning.”

“I got early check-in, but we can go to lunch first if you prefer, I mean, if you want to even stay here.”

“Want to?” He scoffs, his hands working the steering wheel until he’s parked. “I’m dying to spend a little alone time with you.”

We’re giggling like two teens about to get into trouble as we make our way inside. Check-in takes longer than I would have liked, but just swinging by and picking up keys would be too long.

“If they have a smart TV, we can finish watching that movie we started last night.”

I have no interest in finishing the movie that put me to sleep after ten minutes.

“We can even watch—”

I press my lips to his the second he opens the door. “No TV.”

“Okay,” he says against my lips, gasping when my fingers immediately reach for the button on his jeans. “Not wasting any time, I see.”

“Nope.”

My dress comes off over my head, me slipping out of it as I lower to my knees.

“God, this isn’t going to last. Don’t want to come in your mouth, Izzy.”

“Then you better show a little restraint,” I tell him, my mouth wrapping around his length the second I free him from his boxers.

“Jesus!” The hissed curse makes me smile, my tongue licking the underside of him.

“Feel good?”

He makes a sound from deep in his chest, his fingers tangling in my hair. Long eyelashes flutter on his cheeks as he looks down at me.

“So fucking good. Do that again.”

I do my best not to gag, but fail when I take him deeper. He doesn’t seem to mind as his hips rock forward and back several times.

“Seriously, woman. I’m fixing to embarrass myself.”

He pops free, his thumb rubbing over my bottom lip.

“I love my cock in your mouth, but I’ve waited so long for you.”

He reaches for me, and I stand as his hands flutter down my sides.

“I can’t believe you didn’t wear anything under that dress.”

Rough fingers tease my nipples, and he seems just fine with taking his time. Each brush, every breath he breathes over my skin ignites different parts of my body that by the time he takes a step back, I’m an inferno, burning up from the inside out.

“I can’t believe you’re still wearing clothes,” I whisper, my fingers teasing the hem of his shirt.

That’s all it takes for him to strip, unceremoniously throwing his clothes in all directions.

His cock, thick and proud points at me, and I’m unable to resist wrapping my hands around him. He groans, the sound hitting me right at my center.

“Did you bring condoms?” he asks, his throat working like he’s unwilling to go all-in right now if I didn’t.

“In my purse.”

He attacks the thing, turning back with a smile at the box in his hands. “Twelve? Think it’ll be enough?”

“Promises, promises,” I say, crooking my finger to draw him closer.

He winks, tossing the full box on the bed before lifting me off my feet. My sandals drop to the floor, leaving us both fully nude and ready for each other. He brushes against my core, the plush head of his cock a tease of epic proportions before he settles me on the bed and hovers over me.

“Wanna make you come.” I grab his head before he can start kissing down my throat.

“I will. Please, Drew.”

His fingers shake as he opens the box, tearing one foil square from the rest.

“And you’re sure about this?”

I look between my legs. I’m glistening, spread open wide, and he’s asking this now?

“Yes,” I pant. “Please.”

He leans over, mouth on mine as his fingers brush over me, testing my readiness. I swallow his groan when he finds his answer.

“Waited so long. Fuck,” he moans when he pushes in the first inch. “Every dream, every fantasy. God, I never got it right. So much better than I remember. Jesus, Izzy. Like a fucking glove.”

He finds a rhythm, his hips moving with perfect precision as he kisses me.

When we came together like this in his room that one time, I only thought he was speaking with his body. Having heard the words, knowing he loves me makes this time so much better.
