My Lord (Rothvale Legacy #2)(37)
Author: Raine Miller

"Hmmm. I don't know what you're talking about, Mr. Everley. As usual, you're speaking to me in riddles and mysteries I don't understand at all. If I were taken as you say, then don't you think I'd know his name?" I could tell this was going to be fun.

"You don't know his name?" He stalked toward me slowly, backing me into the nearest empty stall.

I shook my head at him and tried to keep a straight face. "I do not."

"I know his name, Miss Hargreave." He nodded wickedly now that he'd backed me right up against the far wall of the horse stall, where he proceeded to crowd me with his big body until he'd caged me in completely by his arms on either side of my shoulders.

"What is it?" I whispered innocently, completely captivated by the wolf about to pounce on me.

"My—lord," he growled before taking both sides of my face in his hands and holding me very firmly, "is his name."

"I do know him. He makes me feel so special, like a princess, and I don't know why he does it." I brought up my hand and reached out a finger to trace around his lips. "I just know I don't want him to stop."

"He does it because he's fallen in love with you and he's not able to stop."

I smiled and tried to hold back the tears that wanted to spill out of my eyes. "Will it help my lord to know he doesn't ever have to stop, because I've already fallen in love with him?"

He closed his eyes and held them closed for a moment, looking almost pained but then an expression of relief, and even joy, when he opened them again…to me. "I'll be needing to hear you say that again and again, kitten."

“All right. I'll say it all the time if it helps you to believe it's true." I tucked a piece of his hair around his ear and then did the same to the other side.

"Say it to me now.”

"I love you, my lord. My Lord Rothvale."

The End of Part II

Next Up: Heart & Arrow

THE ROTHVALE LEGACY III

So by now you know we’re not done with Ivan and Gabrielle. Not even close. There’s so much more coming for these two. I’m hard at work on the third part of the Rothvale Legacy, Heart & Arrow now, and the good news is you won’t have to wait another six years for it. LOL (You won’t even have to wait six months.)

It’s safe to say that Ivan and Gabrielle’s story will be just as long and eventful as Ethan and Brynne’s, so there’s much to look forward to for these two passionate lovers. And I’m very happy about that because I’m not ready to say goodbye to my kinky Lord and his art-loving Lady just yet.

Mr. Finnegan’s Irish Scones

Yes, it’s a real recipe. And yes, it is a sacred experience to eat one!

INGREDIENTS

• 3 ½ cups (16oz/497g) all-purpose flour

• 5 teaspoons baking powder, leveled

• 1 generous pinch of salt

• ¼ cup (2oz/60g) sugar

• ½ cup (2½oz/71g) cold, cubed, salted butter

• 1 egg

• ¼ cup (2floz/57ml) double cream

• ¾ cup (6floz/170ml) whole milk

• milk to glaze

INSTRUCTIONS

1. In a large bowl mix the dry ingredients together.

2. Rub in the cold butter with your fingers until it resembles  breadcrumbs.

3. If adding dried fruit e.g. Currants, berries, citrus rind, or  chocolate chips add them now before you add liquid.

4. Mix your egg with the milk and cream and pour into your  flour mix. (if you don’t have cream you can use whole milk)

5. With an open hand mix loosely your scone mix until your  dough forms. The bowl should be clean from the dough.

6. Turn your dough onto a floured work surface.

7. Knead lightly to give your dough a smooth surface.

8. Pat your dough down with your hand until around 1 inch  thick.

9. With a scone cutter cut out your lovely little scones. You  will have around 12.

10.  Put on a baking tray, glaze the tops of your scones with  some milk to give them a golden top when baked.

11. Bake at 350°F (18O°C) for 35 minutes.

NOTES

Enjoy with Irish butter, jam, and clotted cream. Scones are best eaten the day they are baked but the next day you can pop them back in the oven to freshen them up again.

Connected Series

The spin-off series that started it all…

You’ll want to read about Ivan’s cousin, Ethan Blackstone, and his American girl, Brynne, in my BLACKSTONE AFFAIR series. A New York Times Bestseller.

THE BLACKSTONE AFFAIR

Ethan Blackstone is the most swoon-worthy male character I’ve ever encountered.

COLLEEN HOOVER, NYT Bestselling Author

The title of this book is so aptly named as her characters are stripped Naked down to their bare feelings and what they do to one another.

Erotica with heart has never been so lovely. Although The Blackstone Affair is now over, there were some great teases of future writing to come. OH! And also, Millers’ book, The Passion of Darius has a tie in! Rare and Precious Things was a masterful ending to a phenomenal series.
