Devil's Ride : A Dark MC Boxset(99)
Author: E.C. Land

At the revving of a motorcycle outside, I head for the door. “Don’t try to pull any of your bullshit.”

Stepping out the door I make my way toward Cane. “If that bitch tries anything let me know. Don’t let her convince you to let her suck your dick or anything. She’s caused enough bullshit.”

“No offense Blaze but that whore in there ain’t coming anywhere near my dick. I prefer my women a little less stretched out,” Cane states with a grin.

“I don’t blame you. Just make sure the bitch doesn’t try pulling any of her shit with you while I go after Raven,” I grumble.

“Liam.” I hear my name screamed from inside of the house and my first instinct is to ignore the bitch. Only when Dixie screams again, I rush back in the house, Cane on my heels.

I stop dead in my tracks at the sight of Dixie on the floor clutching her stomach.

“Help me please,” she cries.

“Fuck, Cane call an ambulance,” I order rushing over to the woman’s side. As much as I want to go after my woman, I need to make sure the baby is okay.

“On it Blaze,” he says before talking into his phone.

“Liam please, I don’t want to lose my baby. Our baby.” Damn she’s fuckin’ delusional if she’s still thinking that bullshit.

I may be here right now but it’s only for the baby that I am.

“Ambulance is on the way,” Cane says. “Want me to call Prez?”

Dixie screams again, throwing her head back in pain.

“Shoot him a text let him know what’s going on,” I state as I kneel on the floor next to Dixie and put my hand on her stomach. “What did you do?”

When I stepped outside, she was perfectly fine, now it’s as if she were in labor.

Fuckin’ hell can’t anything ever be simple in life.

Chapter Fourteen

Raven

My phone continues to ring repeatedly from where it’s sitting on the bench as I slam my fist into the punching bag.

Right now, I’m too stuck in my own head to worry about answering the phone for anyone else. I don’t want to talk to Blaze or Vicky. Shit with my luck they’ll send Tracker to find me.

“Yo Ray, what are you doin’ here?” Speak of the devil and he shall show himself.

“What do you want Tracker?” I mutter, slamming my fist into the bag with a one-two combo.

“Well considering my woman got a call from your ol’ man a little while ago asking her to find you for him since he couldn’t do it himself,” Tracker shrugs but I can sense there’s more to what he’s saying.

“Here I am now you can leave. Don’t bother telling him where I am. I will talk to him when I’m ready,” I snap, hitting the bag once more before backing away from it.

“Fine talk to him when you're ready. Just so you know though he’s at the hospital. Dixie’s in labor.” Shocked by Tracker’s words, I whip my head up to meet his gaze.

“What?”

“Yeah, he told me what the cunt did, setting him up. Shit I remember the bitch trying to do the same thing with me along with Gia. If not for my Prez and Vi trusting me everything could have turned out differently,” Tracker states, his emotions aren’t telling me anything but truth.

Granted, when it comes to Tracker, I know he won’t lie. At least unless he has to.

Shaking my head, trying to clear it. I turn back to the punching bag and send my fist yet again into the thing. This time with more force. “Vicky didn’t walk in on what I did. She didn’t see you in just a towel wrapped around your waist with that bitch on her bed legs spread. She didn’t find you staring at the bitch.”

A firm hand grips my forearm and spins me around to face Tracker. “I get what you’re talking about. But you need to talk to him. He needs you right now. I know he’s told you about Laura and if it wasn’t for the fact that little boy is about to be born any minute, your ol’ man would be the one standing here in front of you. Now you have two options right now. Be the fierce woman I know you are. Or turn into a cowardly bitch and hide from the confrontation.”

I take a moment to let what he said sink in. Finally letting my calm sidestep forward. Dixie’s in labor. Did she do something to cause her labor to come on early to gain more of Blaze’s attention. I wouldn’t put it past her.

Shit.

“Fine, I’ll head to the hospital.” I mutter, stepping past Tracker to grab my bag before removing the tape from around my hands.

“Good. I’d have hated to have to cart you out of here,” Tracker grins.

“Shut the hell up. You couldn’t have done it,” I grumble.

“That’s what Vi thought as well. But I’ve sparred with her, she’s realized just how calculating I can be,” Tracker chuckles.

“Oh, I’ve heard all about it, buddy. However, guess what. I’m not your wife, you can’t use those tactics on me. Sorry you’re hot and all but you’re not my type,” I say sternly. I’m not in the mood to laugh and joke.

“You’re not mine either but still love ya. You’re family Ray so we look out for each other. Same as Blaze. When this shit with Dixie is over, you and Blaze can work things out between the two of you.”

“We’ll see,” I mutter, heading for the door.

After this mess is done and over with. I have some serious decisions to make where Blaze is concerned.

Right now, though, he needs me by his side, and I’ll do it if only to make sure that bitch doesn’t try one of her tricks.

The ride to the hospital seemed to take just a few minutes rather than the twenty it normally would have. I held my breath the entire time I rode the elevator up to the labor and delivery floor.

You must be prepared. Not just for yourself but for those around you. The young are vulnerable and need to be protected no matter the vile that surrounds them.

My mom’s words pop in my head once again. Is this what she meant?

It has to be. That child is the most vulnerable of all and Dixie is one vile bitch.

I know what needs to be done. I just have to make sure Blaze’s little brother is born healthy first to determine the lengths of which I’m willing to go.

As the elevator doors open to the top floor, I step out and find all of Blaze’s brothers and the ol’ ladies of the club sitting around in the waiting room.

“Ray,” Stoney calls my name first.

“Any news?” I ask.

“Not yet. Blaze informed the nurses at the station that they were to allow you in when you got here.” Baffled by his words I merely stare at him. “I don’t know all of what happened, but I know enough. I also know my brother. He’d never do anything to jeopardize what he has with you. You’re his saving grace Ray. The one who’s set him free of the pain he’s carted around for more years than I can count. Don’t let this cunt get between you.”

Taking in Stoney’s words, I nod my head. I’d thought about that the entire way here. Blaze wouldn’t have done anything with Dixie. Not without breaking things off between us and I don’t see that happening.
