Master of My Life (Finding Sabrina #3)(10)
Author: Marissa Honeycutt

Her breath caught in her throat as she remembered his mouth on her. “I’d like that,” she said, her voice breaking.

Damian pulled her close, kissing her cheek. “I will be gentler from now on,” he whispered in her ear as he slid his hand down her back. “I promise.” She shivered and smiled. “I must admit when I heard you were going to be here tonight, I could hardly wait to arrive.” He glanced at Chase. “Are things serious between you two?”

Sabrina looked over at Chase, who watched them with hooded eyes. “I think so.”

“Think?”

She gave a small shrug. “We’ll know more after tonight.”

“I see.” He smiled. “I can see he’s eager to have you back.”

They walked back to where Richard and Chase waited. Damian nodded to the men and walked across the room to the bar.

“Everything okay?” Chase asked, searching her eyes.

Sabrina nodded. “He wanted to apologize.”

“Good.”

Richard got everyone’s attention, and the group made their way into the dining room. Sabrina sat between Richard and Chase at the end of the table. During the delicious four-course dinner, Sabrina’s confidence slowly returned. Watching Kathy and Chase flirt didn’t bother her. She had to remind herself not to tempt Chase because he was oh-so-tempting. She kept imagining taking him into her mouth . . . Swirling her tongue around the crest of his cock . . .

“Are you all right?” Chase whispered in her ear.

She blinked and smiled. “I was having a delicious daydream.”

“Oh?” He grinned. “What about?”

“You.”

“Me?” He raised his brows over amused eyes. “How so?”

She leaned toward him. “I was imagining what it would be like to take your cock into my mouth.”

Chase groaned. “Your confidence is sexy, woman.” He kissed her head. “Tonight will severely test my self-control.”

Sabrina sipped her wine and wandered around the luxurious bedroom Kathy had brought her to after dinner. She’d changed into a sheer white dress with spaghetti straps and a slit up to her right hip and waited for Kathy to return so they could go down to the Gathering Hall together.

She slid her fingers down the red velvet curtains that hung from the massive canopy bed as she passed. The woven rug beneath her bare feet was as soft as silk. She stopped at the large windows and stared out over the illuminated manicured lawn behind the Manor.

Earlier in the evening, Kathy had mentioned if Sabrina decided to stay with Richard, she could live here at the Manor, or she could have a multi-million-dollar apartment in the city. Or both. She’d wear the finest clothes, attend the fanciest parties, and be with important men who would treat her like a princess. She could have anything—or anyone—at the snap of her fingers. Everything opposite her previous life.

She set her wine glass on the windowsill and leaned her forehead against the cool glass.

Was all that worth more than being with the man she loved? Chase treated her like a princess. He loved her. He watched over her. He had been at her side the instant she got upset before dinner, sensing something was wrong. In his arms, she had peace. Why would she give that up?

Kathy returned a few minutes later wearing a short green satin dress. “Ready?”

Sabrina gave a jerky nod, and Kathy led her down several hallways and stairways until they reached the heavy white curtain that hung in the arched entryway of the Gathering Hall.

Sabrina paused at the last step, remembering what had happened the last time she was here.

Kathy squeezed her hand. “You’re protected now, remember?”

Sabrina nodded and took several deep breaths, working up the courage to go inside.

“Ready?” Kathy asked.

No. “I guess.”

Kathy nodded to the man standing guard, and he pulled the curtain aside, revealing the enormous room Sabrina remembered, but this time it was full of people. The gigantic golden eagle glowed in the light from the numerous diamond chandeliers. Clusters of leather couches and chairs spread out across the room, nearly all of them occupied by men in tunics and pants of various dark colors. Slave girls, some naked, some wearing blue dresses, tended to the men, on their knees or on their laps. A few played with each other in the center of a group of men. Older women in green sat in the chairs and couches, chatting or kissing a man.

Kathy guided Sabrina toward the long platform in front of the Eagle where Richard and Chase sat in carved wooden thrones. Richard leaned to one side, speaking to Damian who sat nearby in a brown leather armchair. An empty black chaise sat a few feet away from them. Richard and Chase both wore white linen tunics, though Richard’s had gold and emerald embroidered designs on the cuffs and collar. Damian wore tan.

“Is there a significance to the men’s colors?” Sabrina whispered to Kathy as they weaved their way through the room.

She shook her head. “No. They wear whatever they choose, though they wear a red bracelet if they’re interested in other men.”

“So red on girls means they like the rough stuff, but red on the men means they prefer men?” Many men wore red bracelets.

Kathy laughed. “Not prefer. Well, not most of them. Some men enjoy a little variety here. They’d never court a man in their normal life, but here there are no stigmas for sexual appetites. It’s to help them find each other without offending anyone.”

“Oh.” Sabrina searched Chase’s wrists for signs of red but didn’t see any. If he wasn’t going to have sex, would he wear one, though?

They arrived at the base of the platform and Sabrina bowed her head in greeting. She glanced at Chase after Kathy motioned for her to stay where she was. He sat easily in his carved chair and gave her a warm smile when their eyes met. She fought the urge to wipe her sweaty hands on the silky material that covered her legs. Kathy stepped onto the platform and kissed Richard. Richard whispered into her ear and she giggled before heading out to the crowd, squeezing Sabrina’s hand as she passed by.

Richard held out his hand to Sabrina, and she stepped up onto the platform with shaky legs. He pulled her to straddle his lap and studied her face. “Doing okay?”

“Nervous,” she whispered.

He ran his hand down her cheek and she shivered. “Relax and feel the energy of the room, Sabrina. You’re safe. I won’t let anything happen to you.” Her eyes closed as he ran his finger across her jaw and down her neck. “You’re safe,” he repeated in a soothing voice. “Remember what you felt earlier? Feel it again.”

She shivered as he kissed her collarbone and once again, she could feel everything in the room. Every man. Every woman. She could see their minds. Their lusts. Desires. Everything. They were all hers to feed on.

And she did.

Chase shifted in his seat as Sabrina approached. He could see her nipples through the sheer fabric of her dress and he bit back a groan. God, she’s beautiful. And so damn sexy.

She glanced at him as Kathy greeted Richard and gave him her shy smile. He smiled back, hoping to assure her that everything would be okay.

Richard reached for her and, as was right, she went to him. When she sat down on his lap, Chase remembered how it had felt to have her on his lap in the limo and sucked in a breath.
