Marie looked at him with fear in her eyes. “William, you don’t really think you’re actually going to bite me, do you?” she asked, searching his eyes.

“I won’t. But keep the knife close in case I’m wrong. I haven’t done this in a long time,” he said and took off his shirt, throwing it on the floor.

Marie momentarily forgot her fear when she saw his abs staring back at her. “My God, William. It’s like you have this body sculpted by the Gods.”

“I could say the same about yours,” he said, his eyes roaming her naked legs and stopped at her black lace panties.

She smiled, but did as he said. She opened the blade and set it on the nightstand. Her heart started to beat faster as she beckoned him to come to her. She wasn’t sure if her racing heart was due to lust or fear that she was giving that lust over to a living and breathing vampire who very well may do what vampires do. But oh, what a bite that would be.

THEY COULDN’T WAIT for one another anymore. William climbed onto bed with her, kissing her, all the while taking her out of her black knit sweater. She looked impossibly small and fragile in her bra and panties underneath him, as if he could break her.

William watched as she raised herself up and took her bra off, exposing two perfect round breasts. William cupped one of her breasts with his hand as he lowered himself on top of her, feeling the warmth of her body against his. Her could feel the blood within her, could almost taste it. He tried not to focus on his vampire nature, but on her instead. It was easier said than done. He closed his eyes, having forgotten how amazing it was to just be here with another person, kissing her and losing yourself over to her completely.

Marie took his boxers off and looked at his manhood. She smiled as she reached for it with her hand. He was well endowed, and he was throbbing for her.

Marie’s soft and warm hands felt exquisite on him; he could only imagine what it would feel like in-between her legs.

With a nod from Marie, he knew it was go-time. She checked to make sure the knife was still there as she welcomed him in with her body. As he entered her, they looked at one another. It was like he was penetrating her with more than just his giant erection, but with his soul, too.

He moved with her, kissing her passionately all the while. Their lovemaking was exquisite. Marie moaned underneath him as he moved, her body arching and rising with his. Her arms and legs clung to him. When he slowed down a little bit, she grew nervous again, wondering if his vampire nature would kick in.

William kissed her on the mouth and moved towards her ear then slowly down to her neck, kissing her sensually. It took everything Marie had not to push him away.

“William,” she said, her eyes searching his.

He took a deep breath. “Let me. I can do this,” he said. He placed his mouth on her breast. Marie moaned in ecstasy. When he briefly stopped, Marie checked for blood, but found none. She sighed in relief. He sensed her uneasiness and smiled, pushing her hair behind her ear.

“I won’t hurt you,” he assured her, his voice barely audible. If he said it, then he believed himself. He had to.

“Well, I hope you do just a little bit,” she replied with a smile. “Just, you know, without any biting.”

He laughed. “I’ll see what I can do.”

He was so sexy as he laughed. Marie pulled her towards him as she kissed his neck and shoulders while they made love.

Marie moaned loudly, losing herself to him, prompting William to move with more vigor and intent.

It was that adjustment that caused Marie’s whole body to delicately tremble with the orgasm that needed to be released since she had met him.

Her whole body lay still for a few moments afterwards. She laughed, feeling totally relaxed. “Wow, William. I really needed that.”

“Glad to be of service,” he said, smiling from ear-to-ear. He gave her a few more moments before starting again. He felt the wetness of her orgasm surround his manhood, and he started to move passionately on top of her. William could feel the pressure slowly building. He came explosively as he held her body tightly.

Afterwards, he collapsed on top of her, out of breath. “Marie, my God, that was incredible.”

“I’m just glad I’m still alive to tell the tale,” she said. “I just had sex with a vampire.”

“Is that all you see me as?” he asked, flirtatiously.

She didn’t answer. Instead, she pulled him in for a deep long kiss, the orgasm she had relaxing her and opening her up simultaneously.

Meanwhile, the sun had started to rise, its light filling the room with a gloomy glow. They could hear the rain still hitting the windowpane. William got up stark naked and closed the curtains. “It’s early. We need to get some rest,” he said.

He climbed back into bed and curled his naked body next to hers. “Goodnight, wife,” he said in a whisper and kissed her on the mouth once more.

She smiled, feeling a little sad in that moment, knowing that whatever they were sharing in the moment would be short lived. She had a job to do, and it was going to cost her a lot more than she had originally thought.

“Goodnight,” she repeated softly, and she eventually drifted off into a deep and dreamless sleep.

Chapter Ten

Later that night, Marie woke up in William’s embrace. She felt the heat of his body surrounding her. She needed to stretch and got out of bed, walking over to the view of the Vegas strip. It had stopped raining, she noticed. She threw on his T-shirt over her naked body before fully pulling the curtains back. The city beneath her was slowly starting to light up artificially as the sun descended in the west.

William, having been awakened by the slight noise she had made, got out of bed and put his boxers on before joining her at the window.

He placed an arm around her shoulders, loving how comfortable they were together.

“That view is something else. This city definitely comes to life at night. It’s no wonder the vampire coven has made their home here. They can hide out easily in this city.”

“That’s why my mom likes it, too. She has no problem finding clients who come to her during the late hours.”

“She’s a healer like you?”

“She has some of my healing powers, but her gifts lie in sight. She can see into the future.”

“Really?” he asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Sure. She can’t always explain what she sees, but she does a great job trying to make sense of what she does see.”

He nodded, thinking about it further.

Marie announced that she was going to take a long hot shower while William ordered each of them some light appetizers for breakfast off the dinner menu and two cups of coffee. When Marie came out of the shower, she made a beeline to her coffee and took a sip.

“This coffee is excellent,” she said, peeking at the appetizers he had ordered.

William was in a more serious mood. He walked over to her without taking his eyes off her. He took the coffee she held in her hands and set it down. William placed his hands on her waist, kissing her on the cheek. “Last night was absolutely incredible. Thank you so much for that. I had given up hope of ever experiencing that again, and I want you to know how much it means to me that I was able to have that with you last night,” he said, brushing hair away from her face.
