Author: Bella Emy

She took his face into her hands and kissed his lips softly. “Make love to me, William,” she whispered.

He looked into her eyes and didn’t say anything as he rolled her onto her back with a hunger that was rising in him as well. William got on top of her and started to kiss her naked body. He was acutely aware of the blood flowing through her and closed his eyes, homing in on his feeling as he hungrily kissed her all over her body. Marie ran her hands through his hair as he continued to kiss her.

William was aware of her heartbeat, could almost hear her responding to his touch, but he felt no need or desire to fed from her. It was like his body knew she was off limits. He wondered if it was the result of both of them having garlic in their systems, or of it was something much stronger than garlic. Something like love, perhaps? He was feeling overwhelmingly protective of her, and that included protecting her from himself. Forgetting himself for a moment, his mouth found a spot on her neck, and he kissed her deeply.

Marie took no time to push him off of her with a force that surprised him.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” she asked him as she checked her neck for a wound.

William shook his head. “I didn’t bite you. Don’t worry. Something has changed within me, Marie. I have absolute control, and your blood isn’t something that I’m craving. It could be the garlic you had or something else.”

She looked at him, her temper softening as he came back towards her, and held her in his arms. He kissed her shoulder. “Please, trust me.”

“Okay, but if you linger too much in one spot, I will not hesitate to retaliate.”

He nodded and gave her a smile. “Understood.” He took off his boxer shorts and got back on top of her. He was completely and totally aroused by the sight before him. Marie was on her back and patiently waiting for him to enter her. He ran his thumb across her inner thigh causing Marie to tremble slightly in anticipation.

Without speaking, he lowered himself into her. Both of them moaned softly as she welcomed him.

Marie watched him as he moved within her. Her hands explored every inch of his body. A few times he lowered himself to kiss her neck, her breasts, her mouth. Marie received him, making sure he didn’t linger too long on one spot near or around her neck.

When they both started breaking into a sweat, Marie could feel William speed up. Her body reacted, and she could feel a deep pressure building up inside of her. She closed her eyes, his large erection throbbing inside of her. She released her hold on him and relaxed her body, clinging to him, her legs wrapped around his body. She moaned loudly as her orgasm erupted within her entire body.

Breathless, she continued to move in time with William. He wasn’t too far behind. He enjoyed watching her in ecstasy as he came hard inside of her, breathing heavily.

“My God, Marie. That was incredible,” he said as he rolled off of her.

She smiled at him in response, feeling flushed.

After catching their breaths, William put a hand on her cheek. “You know,” he started. “I asked your mom to look into my future last night,” he whispered as he looked into her eyes.

Marie was surprised. “You did?” she asked. “What did she see?” A worried looked crossed her face.

William smiled, never breaking his gaze from Marie. He was sure now that he was totally in love with her. “She saw our little girl, Marie. Yours and mine. I guess she had seen her before in your future, and it was the same little girl.” He placed a finger playfully on her chin. “We’re going to have a daughter together.”

Marie couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “It’s been years since I thought about that little girl. My mother had always assumed I was the mother, but I didn’t think she knew for sure.” Marie looked back at William. “Are you sure she’s ours?”

William nodded. “Apparently she’s going to look just like me,” he said smiling.

Marie didn’t return his smile. “William, is that why you’re thinking about hanging around? Do you feel obligated to?” she asked, looking a little worried.

“No, no. I mean, yes, I feel obligated, of course. But it’s not just that.” He kissed her on the mouth before continuing. “Look, anything can still happen. I didn’t appear in her vision. I don’t know what’s going to happen to me, especially going into tonight. But I swear I will do everything in my power to protect you. No matter what, there’s proof that you’ll survive whatever happens tonight. I can’t be so sure about my future.”

Marie nodded, understanding how her mother’s visions worked. “I appreciate you telling me,” she said and put a hand on her stomach. “I can’t believe it’s you. I mean, I can, and I’m glad it’s you. But William, can vampirism be transferred to a baby?” she asked, feeling a hundred different feelings all at once.

William was quick to shake his head. “It doesn’t work that way. I knew of a few vampire couples with kids. Their babies are human. Vampirism doesn’t affect them. They could always turn the kid when he or she is older, but no, she won’t be born with vampirism.”

She nodded and looked into his eyes, still in shock. “You’re really going to be the father?”

“Yeah. It’s crazy, right? I’m glad we decided to get married,” he said, kissing the ring on her finger.

“Me, too,” she whispered back. She looked at the clock on the bedside table. “As much as I’d love to just stay in bed with you all day and figure all of this out, we can’t. We don’t have the time. Why don’t you jump into the shower while I track down a weapon to use against Drake?”

William agreed with her and jumped out of bed while Marie put on some clothes and checked her phone for information on where to find an executioner’s axe.

When William came out of the shower, Marie had breakfast out on the table. She was excitedly eating a piece of toast and texting on her phone. She took the piece of toast out of her mouth when she saw William emerge.

“We’re in luck. A collector has a replica Viking battle axe. He’s willing to meet with us in one hour when I offered him triple what he’s asking for.”

“And how much is that?” he asked, an eyebrow raised.

“Only three-hundred dollars. I told him we’re working on an indie film and needed a prop ASAP. I told him I was a prop master, and you’re the director. Our budget on the film is small, but we need a prop as soon as possible because our main star broke his in a fake battle.”

“A battle in Las Vegas?” he asked. “Doesn’t sound very realistic.”

“Well, we’re not from Vegas. He thinks we’re driving up here from Los Angeles for a few different things. I told him we’d reach Vegas in about an hour.”

“Oh, well then, that’s a pretty good story.”

“Honestly, I don’t think he cares so much about the backstory. He’s probably just looking to make a quick buck.”

“What if he asks to see our credentials?”

“He won’t. Plus, moviemaking and tv shows are very hush-hush when they’re being filmed. We don’t have to show him a thing,” she replied.

William threw on a T-shirt, jeans, and hoodie. “Okay, if you say so.” He skipped breakfast but downed his coffee in one sitting. Marie looked at him, a disgusted look on her face.
