Possessed by Passion(397)
Author: Bella Emy

“Stop him from sounding the alarm,” Christian said as he launched himself at the first Demon in front.

Miles went after the second Demon, but the Demon in front replicated himself, and suddenly there were two of them. When another Angel rushed forward, there were three. Soon all the Angels were preoccupied with fighting replicas and no one was able to stop the runaway. Before too long, a siren sounded throughout the building alerting everyone that the Angels were here.

Miles fought deftly with his blade, focusing on the replica that was attacking him and not paying any mind to what was going on around him. He managed to get the upper hand and stabbed the replica through the chest, but he did not disintegrate as he should have, and Miles stared at it. He looked around quickly and saw others were having the same issue. Then it dawned on him.

“We need to kill the one that ran away,” he shouted. “It’s the original; these are all just copies.”

Christian made his way over to Miles and joined him in fighting his replica. “Go, get him,” he said.

Miles willed his wings free and launched himself up and over the battle, past the replicas and Angels still fighting. He hovered in the air and looked around, spotting the Demon a few feet away watching the fight. The Demon saw him and smirked, unfurling his leathery wings and joining Miles in the air. Soon their blades clashed, but Miles was unsteady in the air, not used to having to fight and control wings at the same time. The Demon had the upper hand and was soon gaining ground on Miles, beating him back towards the ground. Miles feigned his attacks and let the Demon believe he was winning until his feet were back on the floor before he launched another assault on the Demon, bringing him to Miles’ level and fending him off with renewed energy.

The Demon, now taken by surprise, cried out in pain as he tried to take off in flight, but Miles caught the Demon’s wing with his blade. Unable to fly, the Demon turned to run, but Miles swung his blade and took the Demon’s feet out from under him.

“Please, no...” the Demon begged.

Miles brought his blade down and stabbed the Demon through the chest from behind and watched as he disintegrated into a cloud of ash. He glanced back at the battlefield and saw all the replicas disintegrate as well, and he smiled at Christian who gave him a thumbs up.

“Let’s get going,” Christian said. “There may be more.”

Miles joined the group again, and they surged forward, pushed by the adrenaline coursing through their bodies. All except Miles, who was driven by his passion and desire to see Lizzie—Elizabeth—again. He wanted to make sure she wasn’t hurt, because God help all the Angels in the world if she was.

They encountered a few lower-level Demons along the way which they took care of fairly quickly, without much effort, and soon were on the other side of the warehouse that had huge doors wide open to the back. There was a field behind the warehouse where little piles of ash lay scattered everywhere, and where the second group of Angels waited. Miles quickly searched their faces, and his heart stopped as Jay spoke.

“We suffered some losses.”

Miles felt like his blood had turned to ice and almost immediately, a weight lifted from his shoulders as he saw Lizzie standing right at the back of the group. He wanted to sigh in relief but kept it to himself instead.

“Three were killed, but we got the Balancer,” Jay said. “He’s ours.”

“Well done, everyone,” Christian said. “Miles, you’re proving your worth with us.”

Miles smiled. “I told you I would.”

“We’ll be in touch,” Jay said as they released their wings, picked up the Balancer who had a grey sack over his head and his hands tied behind his back, and they took off. The other Angels released their wings, and they took flight shortly afterwards.

Miles held his arms open, and Lizzie stepped into them, wrapping her arms around his neck. He freed his wings and took flight, holding her close to him. When he landed, he didn’t want to let her go, but there were supernaturals nearby watching, so he released her and walked with her towards the back of the bar.

They went through the hallway, in silence, and slowly up the stairs. They entered her apartment and stood, sweaty and covered in ash, merely staring at one another for a few moments of silence.

Miles thought he had lost her, and that thought had nearly broken him. He took a few steps towards her and pulled her against him, kissing her desperately. His fingers fumbling with the lace of the corset she was wearing.

And she let him.

Chapter Fourteen

Lizzie

Lizzie moaned softly into his mouth as he finally managed to untangle the lace and pull the corset apart. He pulled it down to free her breasts, and his hands came forward to cup them gently. Everything about his touch was light and careful, as though he was scared he would break her. She pulled away from him slightly and pushed the corset down and off, kicking it away.

“Come,” she said, taking his hand.

She led him to her bedroom, and as soon as they were inside the door, he pulled her back to him and kissed her hungrily again. Lizzie didn’t resist; she could feel his erection straining in his pants. She needed to rectify that. Her deft fingers quickly undid his jeans, and pushed them down, followed soon by his underwear. Miles sighed into her mouth and reached down himself to push down Lizzie’s pants.

Lizzie felt as though she were in a dream. Her body tingled with anticipation and electricity, and Miles tasted divine. Like forbidden fruit she had been dying to eat. She broke the kiss to push his shirt up, and he quickly pulled it off, dropping it beside them. Lizzie looked up at him with heavy-lidded eyes and kissed his neck, biting the skin softly before kissing his chest. She kissed her way down his body, slowly lowering herself to her knees.

When she looked up, Miles was watching her with a burning fire in his eyes, and she maintained that eye contact as she slowly lowered her mouth over his erection and started to bob her head up and down. Miles' eyes grew heavy, but he watched her, one hand grabbing a fistful of her hair as he licked his lips.

Lizzie opened her throat up and swallowed as much of his erection as she could, closing her eyes for the first time as she held Miles there, choking slightly on his girth. She pulled off of him and used her hand to stroke him. Miles reached down and took her hand, guiding her back to her feet so he could kiss her. His hands pulled her against him, and his kiss was hungry. Lizzie felt like Miles wanted to devour her. She wrapped her arms around his neck, and he bent slightly and grabbed her legs. Knowing what he wanted to do, she prepared herself as Miles lifted her, turned, and pressed her against the wall. Lizzie wrapped her legs around his waist.

Miles broke their kiss and buried his face in her neck. He used his one hand and the wall to support her and used his right hand to guide himself into her. He gently pushed until he was buried deep within her and gave a low moan which Lizzie matched, her breathing picking up speed.

“God...” Miles breathed softly, he leaned his head back to look at her. “Are you okay?”

“Yes,” she said to him, “I’m perfect.”

“Yes, you are,” he said, kissing her again.

Miles started to move his hips slowly at first, and she appreciated that he wanted to move slow. Maybe he didn’t want to hurt her, but she didn’t care, she dug her nails into the skin of his back.
