Sawyer (Rydeville Elite #6)(53)
Author: Siobhan Davis

“He might wash his hands of you,” Xavier softly says because he knows Dad hasn’t made any effort to reach out to me in the week since we left his office.

“Mom won’t let him,” I say. “You know she wants to make amends.”

My mother reached out to me a couple of days before we left New York, and I met with her for lunch. She apologized and begged me not to give up on Dad. She has promised to work on him. We actually had a really good conversation, and she listened to me. I don’t know if she understands fully where I’m coming from, but she’s willing to try, and that’s good enough for now.

Dad is being a typical stubborn ass and digging his heels in. I cannot see him ever changing his mind. Especially when the board has just removed him as CEO in a shocking, unexpected move. They are unhappy with his mismanagement of the fraud and the security breach and furious at him for how he dealt with Xavier and me. He is still staying on. For now. In a new role as head of project development, as a conduit between IT and sales, focusing on new product and service lines. This will be a huge blow to him, and I wonder if he’ll sell his shares and set up something new. Time will tell, I guess.

“Try not to worry,” I add, smoothing the creases in his brow. “I’m not thinking about it, and you shouldn’t either. Let’s just live our lives, and we’ll handle it when the time comes.” I grab his hips and graze my teeth along the column of his neck. “I can think of better things to do with our time,” I purr, thrusting my pelvis up, my cock thickening behind my jeans.

“Me likey what you’re thinking.” Xavier grabs the hem of his shirt, pulling it over his head. He flings it on the floor. “Naked fun time is my favorite pastime.”

“I’ve noticed,” I drawl, popping the button on my jeans as he climbs off me to remove his jeans, boxers, and sneakers. “You can’t keep your hands off me.” I flash him a smug grin.

He props his hands on his hips, and he looks too funny standing in only teeny-tiny Batman briefs. His messy silvery, purple, and blue hair is a mess of waves tumbling over his brow, and I can’t wait to grab it as I fuck him hard. “Excuse me, Hunt.” He shoves his briefs down, and his heavenly cock springs free. “It’s you who can’t keep your hands off me.” He arches a brow as I shuck out of jeans and boxers and grab the lube packet from my back pocket. I have taken to carrying them with me everywhere we go now. Irrespective of who initiates it, we are pretty sex-crazed at the minute.

“This is an equal relationship.” I sink onto the couch, pulling him on top of me. “In every way. Sex included.” I drag his lower lip between my teeth. “Our grabby hands are a mutual thing.”

Xavier beams at me as he swipes the packet from my hand and tears it open. “It is, and I love how much more agreeable you are these days.”

“I still hate your messy shit all over the place,” I remind him because we argue daily about his untidiness. I’m trying to be less controlling, but he’s got to meet me halfway. I groan as he lowers his mouth over my dick, running his lips up and down my hard shaft and licking my piercings.

He looks up at me with his lips hovering over the tip of my dick. “You love messing in my shit.”

My face puckers. “You did not just go there.”

He chuckles as he lathers my dick in lube. “I did, and don’t pretend you’re grossed out,” he adds, straddling my hips and gripping my dick. “Not when you’re hard as a rock at the prospect of fucking my ass.”

He guides my dick to his ass and sinks down on me. “Fuck, Bright One.” His hole tightens around me, and I’m seeing stars. Xavier holds himself still on top of me, and I don’t move, wrapping my arms around him as his head falls to my shoulder, and we embrace, savoring the feel of one another.

The only thing better than filling Xavier’s ass is him filling mine.

“Love you,” Xavier whispers, lifting his head and claiming my lips in a soft kiss.

“Love you too.” I thrust my hips up. “I’d love you more if you moved,” I tease, digging my hands into his waist and rocking my hips up.

“So fucking impatient.” Xavier slowly moves up and down on top of me as I roll my hips in sync with his motion.

“When it comes to you? Always.” I slam my lips against his as he bounces up and down on top of my dick, and we get lost in one another as we have so often since we reunited.

“Are you expecting company?” Xavier asks a few hours later as we’re tangled together on the couch, watching a movie. We went another round in the shower with Xavier taking my ass this time, before drying off and changing into sleep shorts.

“Nope.” I remove his limbs from my body and stand, walking to the dresser and grabbing my gun. “Stay there. I’ll check who it is.”

I peer through the peephole, surprised to see Keven Kennedy standing outside our apartment. I let him in and lead him into the living room, apologizing for our state of undress. I put my gun away and sit beside my boyfriend.

“No need to apologize,” he says, perching his butt on the arm of the leather chair. “And I’m sorry for dropping by so late, but I didn’t think this should wait.”

“Okay.” Xavier takes my hand in his, understanding, like I do, this could be a turning point.

Keven hands me a small brown envelope. “Hamilton tried to bargain with that tape. I assume you know what I’m referring to.”

I nod, unsurprised.

“It’s not as bad as it looks,” Xavier blurts, his voice trembling a little.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure it is. Lauder was a crazed animal as he literally ripped Montgomery to shreds.

“There were extenuating circumstances,” Xavier continues, panic evident in his tone. “Montgomery was a corrupt bastard and a sick pervert. Vanessa was his bio daughter, and he lured her overseas and attempted to rape her. The guys rescued her, and it was self-defense. He would’ve killed them if they hadn’t killed him.”

Keven clears his throat. “I don’t doubt any of that, but it still makes for pretty gruesome watching.” Sympathy splays across his face. “We know what he did to Dani Lauder and countless other victims. That’s why my boss turned a blind eye when I pocketed the evidence and walked off with it.”

“What do you mean?” I’m not sure I’m following. “Are you not here to arrest me?”

He shakes his head and stands. “That doesn’t exist, and I’ve never seen it.”

“Thanks, man.” Relief floods my body as I rise, pulling Xavier with me. “We owe you so much.”

“What if there are other copies?” Xavier asks, worry still etched on his face.

“My team is handling all the technical aspects of the case. If anything else is uncovered, I’ll be the first to see it, and it will mysteriously disappear too.” He drills me with a look. “Burn it, and heed my advice. Steer clear of the elite and stay out of trouble. I can’t guarantee my boss will give you another free pass if anything else should surface.”

This isn’t the first time we’ve had some explaining to do or the first time Keven has helped us out. “We can’t thank you enough, Keven.” I slide my arm around Xavier. “If we can ever do anything for you, you only need to ask. I know Anderson and Lauder would say the same.”
