Sawyer (Rydeville Elite #6)(50)
Author: Siobhan Davis

“I’m not discussing this with you, and I’d like you both to vacate my office now.” His cold expression matches his stone heart.

I grip Sawyer’s hand closer as Ava sobs at her husband’s side.

“Come on, Xavier. We know where we’re not wanted.” Without another glance at his parents, Sawyer strides out of the office, holding his head high with my hand in his. I’m tempted to slam the door, but I want to remain professional. I won’t give that man any legitimate reason to criticize me.

Magda smiles broadly when she spots us, jumping up and rounding the table. She pulls us both into a hug. “I knew I was right about you two! I’ve seen the spark, and I prayed it meant what I thought it meant.” Her smile fades a little when she sees the expression on Sawyer’s face. “What’s wrong?”

“Do you even need to ask?”

Sympathy splays across her face. “They’re in shock. They’ll come around.”

They might not. My parents didn’t. But Sawyer doesn’t need to hear that now. He needs my support and my love, and he’s got that in spades.

“I don’t care if they do.” Sawyer plants a swift, hard kiss on my mouth. “Xavier is all I need.”

“I’m here for you.” She squeezes my arm. “For both of you.”

“Thanks, Magda. We love you too.” I pull them into a group hug.

“Text me the dinner details,” Sawyer says when we break apart. “We’ll meet you there and tell you everything.”

We separate to go to our offices to pack up our things, meeting ten minutes later in the lobby. I walk toward Sawyer, carrying a box, watching the commotion on the sidewalk through the large glass doors with interest. “What’s going on out there?”

There must be at least fifty people congregated on the sidewalk directly outside the building, all looking up.

Laughter rumbles from Sawyer’s chest. “I had almost forgotten.” He jerks his head forward. “It’s a surprise. Come on.”

We leave our boxes with the receptionist for a few minutes, and I can’t contain my happiness as Sawyer takes my hand, walking me out the door, uncaring about the attention we’re receiving from people inside and outside the building.

The crowd parts as we approach, and a round of applause breaks out. Giddy smiles and inquisitive looks surround us as Sawyer walks me to the center of the sidewalk and slams to a stop. More onlookers crowd the sidewalk, and I spy people on the other side of the road looking up.

Sawyer stabs me with his gorgeous eyes, squeezing my hand. His whole face is alive, his recent upset all but forgotten. “I told you I’d fight for you and I won’t stop proving how much I love you. I hope this goes some way toward showing you how much I care.” He tips my chin skyward, pointing. “I think I look rather hot in spandex.”

I’m rooted to the sidewalk in shock as I stare at the massive banner that runs along the entire side of the Techxet building. Written in big bold lettering is “I’m loyal to nothing, General. Except…the Bright One.” He’s signed his name underneath, so people are in no doubt who’s behind the masked superhero. The reference is a spin on an iconic line from Captain America, quoted in one of the Marvel Universe comics. If I’m not mistaken, it’s from Daredevil number two hundred and thirty-three. A proud, smiling Sawyer Hunt stands tall along the full length of the banner, dressed as Captain America, with his chest out, carrying the infamous shield against his impressive broad chest.

I burst out laughing at the sight of him in the tight costume, and I can’t stop. I clutch his arm and double over, almost choking with laughter, conscious there are cameras capturing this moment but I couldn’t give two fucks. You have to know Sawyer Hunt to know how big of a deal this is. The old Sawyer would have run a million miles from doing anything like this. Too scared to put his heart on the line in such a public way. This is going to be all over social media. Our friends are going to milk this forever. There will be no hiding from this. Sawyer would know, and he still did it.

My laughter dies, and I straighten up, turning around so I’m facing him. I clasp his face in my hands, fighting tears as a sudden rush of emotion sweeps through me. “You look fucking magnificent in spandex, and nothing says love like superhero love.” Emotion glitters from his eyes, joining what he must see in my gaze. “I love you, Sawyer Hunt. You crazy, beautiful man.” We move together, our mouths fusing as one, and we kiss as if we’re the only two people in the world and we’re not surrounded by cheering crowds underneath a giant-sized banner that outs us to the entire world.

I don’t think life gets much better than this.

“Which is the closest available meeting room?” I ask the receptionist, holding firm to Sawyer’s hand.

“Uh. Let me check.” She pushes her glasses up her nose as she checks the system. “3B is free for an hour.”

“Perfect. Book us in,” Sawyer says, as confident as I am that the news of our leaving hasn’t been conveyed to all the relevant parties yet. “Keep an eye on our boxes,” he adds, grabbing the key as we practically race across the lobby toward the meeting rooms.

Sawyer slams me up against the back of the door the second we enter room 3B, plunging his tongue in my mouth as he locks the door and presses the switch to close the blinds. I grip his shoulders, moaning into his mouth as we devour one another, grinding our erections together. I shove at his shoulders, pushing him off me. “I need in your ass right fucking now, Sawyer.” Tugging the zipper on his pants down, I drive my hand underneath his boxers to get to his dick.

“Fuck.” Sawyer hisses as my thumb sweeps across the precum beading his crown.

“Over the desk, Hunt.” I push him across the small room, keeping my hand wrapped around his cock. When his butt hits the desk, I yank his pants and boxers down his legs and drop to my knees. His gorgeous dick bobs in front of my face like the most mouthwatering popsicle, and I dive in, feasting on his cock while I fumble with the zipper on my pants, desperate to stroke my aching shaft.

Sawyer rolls his hips, thrusting into my mouth as I suck him deep, the tip of his dick hitting the top of my throat. My tongue rolls around his piercings and I’m in heaven. “Goddamn. You look hot on your knees between my legs.” Sawyer grabs fistfuls of my hair, using his hold to control the motion of his dick as he shoves it in and out of my mouth. My hand wraps around my erection, and I groan around Sawyer’s length as precum seeps from the head of my cock. Carefully, he pulls out of my mouth, yanking me upright. “I assume you don’t have lube, so let me get you ready.” Lowering my pants, he chuckles when he sees the Captain America boxer briefs I’m wearing. “I chose the perfect superhero,” he teases, pulling them down my legs.

“Any superhero would be perfect. You know I love them all. I’m super generous like that.” I hiss as he cups my balls, running his tongue along them and sucking them into his mouth. “Suck me, man.” I jerk my hips. “I need to be inside you, and we should probably hurry.”

Sawyer smiles up at me as he pumps my cock in his hand. “If the banner doesn’t give my dad a coronary, I think catching us fucking in one of his meeting rooms would do it.”
