Tangled Sheets(354)
Author: J.L. Beck

“I’m not sure of your measurement,” JD pointed a finger inside the box. “The receipt is in there. You can try the dress to see if it fits you. If not, then I’ll take you to the mall to go exchange for the correct size. You should keep this dress safe since you would be wearing this to prom.”

Talia blushed at his words. “You’ll need to teach me how to dance first.”

Jayden chuckled. “I might. Since I’m on winter vacation for the next three weeks, I’ll come by to take you out. So, go on to the next one.”

She covered the lid on the present and set the big box on the back of the car. Peeling the wrapping papers, Talia found a black cell phone. She stared at the new gift as she turned on the power.

“Is this really expensive?” Talia glanced at the phone. “I wonder which cost more. The gown or this mobile? I’m not sure if I can pay you back.”

Smiling at her, he pulled her toward his face. “I don’t want any money. I would rather receive your Christmas presents.” JD grabbed his mobile from his pocket, finished dying, and dialed.

Talia jumped as her phone rang. Laughing like a fool, she glanced at Jayden.

“That's my phone number,” Jayden waved his mobile in front of her. “With these personal cell phones, we don’t have to worry about your mother and half-sister disturbing our conversation. So, feel free to text and call me anytime.”

Talia put the new phone in her purse. “Thanks! I really like your gifts.” Bending down, she lifted the long packet like a rifle and the small packet from the bag. She gave them to JD. “I hope you don’t make fun of my gifts.”

Jayden hurried and tore through the gifts of the small one. In the packet, he found a scarf with some tassels on both ends. He glanced up at Talia as he waved the scarf in her face. “Don’t tell me that you make this?”

She twirled her hair in an uncomfortable gesture. “My grandma helped teach me to create this scarf myself. My abilities are not on par with my grandma, so I hope you don’t mind a messy one. I’ll try to make you another one better in the future.”

Pulling her toward him, he hugged in his arms. The happiness in his heart was more than he could hold within himself. Pulling from her, he grinned. “This present was more than enough. No need to make a new one.” Jayden set aside the scarf as he tore through the long packet. “I wonder what you have for me here.”

He found a long, thick roll of carbon paper under the wrapping paper. JD raised his eyebrows before he raised the roll above his head. Seeing a white paper underneath the brown roll, he pulled out the item to see a portrait of him. In his chest, heis upper body was bare with muscular abs. Red roses stayed in the background, making him look like a model.

“Did you draw this?” Jayden's eyes twinkled at the pose in the drawing. “I didn’t realize you imagined me to be half naked.” JD rolled the portrait and stuck the item in the roll in order not to damage the paper. “I would need to show my body to you so that you can tell the difference of a man’s chest.”

Her face turned crimson red due to his flirting that she punched him lightly on the shoulder. “I had to use a guy in the magazine for the torso. So, stop teasing me!”

Jayden snatched Talia’s wrist, he pulled her toward his face. As he kissed her lips, his tongue probed her mouth to seek entrance.

Talia wasn’t sure what to do so she opened her mouth as JD thrust his tongue inside her mouth. She gasped during the intimacy that JD French kissed her. This was the first time that she had sexual intimacy with a guy. She nearly passed out from shortness of breath.

Though, JD stopped attacking her tongue and kissed all the way down to her neck. Settling on a spot near her vein, he bit and sucked on the blood. Talia moaned at his invasion.

“With this hickey, you should know not to think to look at another man's chest besides me,” Jayden smirked at Talia’s reddened face. “Remember to keep me in your mind.”

Talia rubbed her neck as she blushed. “Fine. I won't look through the guy's picture anymore.”

Jayden sat back on his seat as he fastened his seatbelt. “Do you want to go practicing driving now? Since we didn't have school at this moment, both of us can hang out for the rest of the day.”

“You sure?” Talia raised her eyebrow at him. “As a friend?”

Jayden stated in a firm voice as he pinched her nose. “Nope! As my girlfriend! We’re starting dating at this instant!”

Talia couldn’t hide her smile, punched him playfully in the shoulder, and looked out the window to hide the embarrassment on her face.

Chuckling in a low tone, Jayden started to drive his car toward an empty spot with no one so they could practice driving without causing any harm to others. Jayden parked the car in a parking lot as he strode out of the car. He opened the door for Talia to get out and instructed her to sit on the driver seat.

“Okay, wait here for me. I’ll go sit in the passenger seat and then I’ll teach you how to ride the car in a bit,” Jayden told Talia as he dashed to the other side. “Come on, be brave. We’ll start at the beginning stage, so you don’t need to be afraid at all.

Talia nodded. She sat behind the wheel and put on the seatbelt. She waited until Jayden sat on the other side and put on his own seatbelt too. Her body shivered as she became excited even though she didn’t know what else to do.

Yes! It will be my first time practicing driving a car. I couldn’t wait for that moment. I should be calm. Relax.

Jayden pointed at the ignition, the shifter gear, the accelerator, and the brake. “First, you turn the key on the ignition. Next, you should step on the accelerator and pull the shifter gear to ‘drive’. Let’s try if you can drive the car around the parking lot. Please go at 10 or 15 mph for a newbie though. When I tell you to stop, then please step on the brake pedal and pull the shifter gear to ‘stop’. All right? Do you have any more questions?”

Talia shook her head. “I’ll try my best. Please be patient with me for the time being.”

As Talia did the instructions like JD suggested, she rode the car around the parking lot. Sometimes she happened to make the vehicle go slower and sometimes she made the car go faster. Talia didn’t want to scare Jayden, so she tried her best to lower the speed no more than 20 mph for their first lesson behind the wheel. Driving for the next hour, Talia finally left out a breath in relief.

“I think that’s it for me today. I’m not sure if I can last another hour,” Talia sighed as she parked the car. “Can we get something to eat? I’m hungry.”

Jayden nodded. “Sure. My grandparents’ home is near this location. Let’s stop over there and I’ll see if I can cook something for us.”

“Okay then,” Talia smiled. “We’ll do that then.”

They got out of the car and switched positions. Jayden drove their car to their next destination.

Arriving at a house near the end of the garage, Jayden parked the car in front of the garage door. They both climbed out of the cars. Talia glanced at the house, which had white walls and two stories high. She glanced around the surroundings and frowned. Racking her brains through all their discussion in the past, she turned her attention to Jayden again.
