A Crowe's Song(43)
Author: Leddy Harper

“Kenny…” This time, my name passed his lips like a prayer in the wind. He pushed forward, paused to let me relax around him, and then rolled his hips once more. “Oh shit, Kenny,” he grunted as he filled me completely.

“What?” It was rather alarming to hear oh shit just as he slid all the way in, causing my chest to tighten and my throat to constrict. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.” His soft breath blew across my lips. “Absolutely nothing is wrong.”

Drew was correct—everything about this was right, written in the stars, planned since the beginning of time. I had never been this stretched, this full, yet instead of it being too much, it felt as though our bodies were made for each other. A lock and a key. Two perfectly fit puzzle pieces. Every part of him formed to every part of me.

His touch was electrifying, leaving my skin singing his praise. His lips left me reassured, as if affirming that this was real and not a dream. And the way he moved… That was magic. It brought heaven to earth and made me believe that everything I’d been told about intimacy had been wrong. Because if any of those people had ever experienced this, then they would never discourage it.

Pressure built in my lower stomach with every roll of his hips, every push and pull. My fingertips tingled, and I felt more and more lightheaded yet completely present. I tilted my hips, needing to be closer, take him deeper, and instantly, my breath stalled in my chest. My eyes closed automatically, and just as I felt the blinding pleasure explode and spread throughout my entire body, I bit down on the closest object, which happened to be the soft spot on his chest between his pec and his shoulder.

A guttural groan filled my ear, urging me to dig my nails deeper into his back, bite his chest harder, and clench him tighter. His body tensed, and his movements were more rigid as I rode out my orgasm, convinced that it would never end.

“I don’t think I’ve ever come that hard in my life. That was…” Drew pressed his forehead to mine, and even though the room was still too dark to get a full picture of his face, I could tell by the lilt in his huffed words that he wore a smile on his lips. “Oh my God, Kenny, that was incredible.”

I hummed as I ran my fingertips along his sides. He was preaching to the choir; it was beyond incredible. It was unbelievable, extraordinary. It was mind-blowing and addictive. But as soon as that thought crossed my mind, my euphoria turned into discontent.

This was temporary.

I wasn’t sure what I wanted this to be. I just knew that he was meant to hold more than a brief spot in my life. He was here for more than that. I believed it deep in my soul. He was put in front of me for a reason…and I had to figure out what that was.

Unfortunately, that would have to wait, because I couldn’t think straight in his arms.

Chapter Thirteen

Drew

The warmth of Kenny’s smooth skin on mine was surreal—it was oddly familiar, while at the same time, a completely new experience that I never wanted to end. Unfortunately, I knew it couldn’t last forever.

The storm had let up outside, only lightly raining now, and the electricity had come back on. Kenny’s soft snores filled the entire room, and they were so comforting that I couldn’t force myself to get up to use the bathroom—even though I’d been holding it for the last hour.

Suddenly, Kenny jerked in her sleep, waking herself. She pushed up with her elbow and lifted her head off my bare chest. She glanced around the room as if she didn't know where she was, although her attention immediately returned to me when her hand found the tiny puddle of drool she’d left behind from her slumber.

“Oh my God, Drew. I'm so sorry about that.” Embarrassment filled her voice as she thoroughly dried my chest. “I didn't even realize I was that tired.” She yawned and then asked, “What time is it anyway?”

“I don’t know…I think around nine. Maybe a bit before.” I hadn't checked the time since I went to the bathroom to clean up after having the best sex of my life. I knew we’d been lying here for a bit; I just wasn't sure how long.

“Oh, wow, it’s late. I should probably head back to my cabin now that the storm is over,” she whispered into the otherwise quiet room. She didn't seem uncomfortable, maybe a little awkward, as if not knowing how to react in this type of situation.

She was right, it was getting late, but I didn’t want her to leave. I wasn’t ready to give her up quite yet. I wanted her to stay a little bit longer. Five minutes. Ten minutes. I didn’t care, just as long as I didn’t have to take her back so soon. “Why don’t you take a shower before you leave? That way, you can climb right into bed and go to sleep when you get back.”

She hummed, pulling her lips to the side while contemplating my suggestion. “I don’t know, Drew. I don’t have any of my clothes here. Nor do I have my soap or my shampoo and conditioner. It’ll probably be best if I wait and do that when I get to my cabin.”

That was not the answer I hoped for, but I wasn’t about to give up that easily. “You have clothes in the dryer,” I offered, hoping I didn’t sound as desperate as I felt. “Or you can wear what you have on.”

Kenny glanced down at the oversized T-shirt and let out a subtle snicker. “I’m not wearing your clothes home, Drew. They’re huge on me. Plus, the clothes in the dryer are my bathing suit, swim shorts, and a tank top. That’s not something I want to put on after taking a shower.”

“Okay, if you don’t want to, I won’t make you.” I slid off the bed and moved around her, leaving her perched on the edge of the mattress. “I’ll drive you back, but you have to give me a few minutes to take a shower and get dressed.”

I headed to the bathroom, hoping and praying she would follow. I didn’t want to, but if it would keep her here just a little bit longer, then I’d beg. I would get down on my knees and plead with her to give me just a little bit more of her time. I only hoped it wouldn’t come to that.

After dropping my gym shorts, I turned on the water and pulled back the curtain—all while holding my breath. Defeat nearly crippled me as I stepped beneath the showerhead and let the scalding spray batter my face. It was the only thing I could think of to clear my mind enough to figure out what the hell was going on, because I had no idea what had come over me. I had never felt this way before…and I didn’t like it. The only problem was, I didn’t know how to make it go away.

I’d just had the most amazing sexual experience of my life, yet my heart now felt deflated. The chemistry and passion were off the charts. It was unbelievable. I couldn’t get enough of her, wishing I could’ve dragged it out much longer. Unfortunately, the second I’d pushed into her, I knew there was no way on Earth I would last. My only hope had been to hold off long enough for her to come—which I accomplished, so I had no idea why I felt like I’d blown it with her.

Suddenly, cold air blew against my back and bare ass. I peered over my shoulder and caught Kenny sliding in behind me. I wanted to play it cool, yet I didn’t have much faith in myself because inside, I was a nerd at the cool kid’s birthday party.

“Changed your mind?”
