She and Torr were married over the Christmas holiday. Brother-in-law priest Damien was the officiant, and Terri sang. After the reception, Torr flew his bride to Hawaii for their honeymoon.
As they sat on the private beach of their bungalow the evening of their arrival, Jas mused, “If I hadn’t had that date from hell, we wouldn’t have met that first night.”
“Does that mean we should’ve invited Wayman to the wedding?”
“Hell no.”
He chuckled. “Just checking. I love you, Lady Librarian.”
“And I love you, my Torr the Brave.”
They shared a long, passionate kiss, gently clinked their wineglasses, and settled in to watch the sunset against the ocean.
