Beyond the Play (Out of Reach #3)(47)
Author: Kaylee Ryan

“H-Holden,” I pant.

“Let me have it, Parker. Give me your pleasure,” he commands.

As if my body was waiting for his permission, I cry out as ecstasy like I’ve never felt washes over me. My body arches off the bed, and a low moan rips from my throat as everything tingles and crashes like waves against the shoreline.

Spent, my body sags against the mattress, and I can’t help but laugh when I realize we’re going to have to change the sheets, and we just washed them.

“Not the reaction I was hoping for,” Holden says as he kisses his way back to my lips. He kisses me softly, and I can taste myself. It’s not something I’d ever done before him, but with Holden, it seems my guard is nowhere in this room. He’s getting all of me unfiltered and unashamed. He makes me feel sexy and wanted, and tasting myself on his lips is more erotic than I ever thought possible.

I reach for his cock, and he moves just out of reach. I make a grunt of protest, and he chuckles. “As much as I want to feel the softness of your hands wrapped around my cock, I can’t. Not right now.”

“Why?”

“Because when I come, I want to do it inside your sweet pussy. I’ve been jacking off for weeks thinking about you, and I need the real thing. If you’re sure that’s what you want?”

“I’m sure.” I pat around the mattress until my hands land on the condom and hand it to him.

His blue eyes smolder in the moonlight as he sits back on his legs and tears open the wrapper, sliding the condom over his length. He moves with the grace of the professional athlete he is, and his arms are now resting on either side of my head while he hovers over me.

My hands rest on his cheeks, and with the light of the midnight sky shining through the window, I know he can see me when I look into his eyes and say the words for the second time tonight. “Make love to me.”

He nods once before reaching between us and aligning himself at my entrance. Carefully, he lowers his weight against me, and I savor the feeling. “Merry Christmas, baby,” he whispers as he pushes inside me.

One slow stroke in, one identical slow stroke out. Over and over again, he sets the pace. Not once does his gaze leave mine, and I can’t seem to find it in me to look away. It’s almost as if this is an out-of-body experience.

The moment is intimate.

It’s ours.

“Kiss me,” I breathe. I need a break from the intensity of his stare and the way it makes me feel. I’m on the brink of shouting that I love him, and although to some, it may be too soon, the rapid beat of my heart and the way he’s making my body sing with pleasure for his tells a completely different story. He’s mine, and I’m his, and we feel what we feel.

His lips press against mine, and his tongue prods past my lips, and I’m grateful. Not only for the taste of him on my tongue, the taste of us, but for the moment, giving me time to gather my senses before I confess my undying love and he runs far, far away. I’m not ready to lose him, so I’ll keep my confession to myself. It’s better this way. I can let the love we share simmer and grow, and when I’m ready to tell him, and when he’s ready to tell me, that will make that moment even better.

I’ve never had multiple orgasms, but it looks like Holden is the exception to my every rule. The fire begins to ignite, only this time the flames grow taller and faster. I’m racing toward the edge and hope that he’s with me.

“I’m so close,” I pant.

“Thank fuck. Baby, I’m barely hanging on here,” he confesses.

“More,” I say, wrapping my legs tighter around his waist. “Faster.”

“You wanted me to make love to you,” he says, ignoring my request to move faster.

“You are.”

“Slow,” he says, smiling down at me.

“We’ve already broken all our rules, Holden. Why stop now?”

“Because this moment, it’s changing my life. You’re changing my life, and I need you to know that. I need you to see that this is more, Parker. So much fucking more,” he says, his brows furrowed as he continues his slow, torturous pace.

“We’re more,” I agree with him. “And we have many more days like this ahead of us.”

“Years,” he corrects.

“Then move, Bailey. Show me what you can do.”

“Fuck,” he groans. “Are you sure? This won’t last much longer.”

“I’m sure. Give me all of you.”

My words, or maybe my acceptance of his, are all he needs to unleash everything he has. My arms and legs are wrapped around him tightly as he thrusts hard and fast. There’s no more talking as he takes what he needs and, in the process, gives me what I need as well.

The fire inside me now burns at an accelerated pace, and before I know it, I’m calling out his name, digging my nails into his back. He rocks into me one last time and stills. I open my eyes in time to see his head thrown back and his jaw clenched tightly as he releases inside me.

His arms quiver as he tries to hold his weight off me. “You okay?” This time I’m the one concerned.

He lifts his head, and a slow smile pulls at his lips. “I’ve never been more okay in my entire life. You’ve ruined me, Parker. Ruined. Me.” He drops a kiss to my lips and slowly pulls out of my body. Immediately, I miss the connection. “Let me clean up. I’ll be right back.”

I know I should do the same, but my legs are jelly, and from the way he’s wobbling his way to the bathroom, I’d say he’s feeling the same way. A few minutes later, he’s sitting next to me on the bed, tapping my thighs for me to open as he helps clean me with a warm washcloth. Once he’s satisfied, he tosses the rag through the bathroom door not a single care where it lands and crawls over top of me, pulling the covers over us.

I’m back in his arms where we both want me to be. “In case we weren’t clear in all our previous conversations, you’re mine, Parker. It’s going to take the world ending for that to change.”

I don’t know what to say to that other than “I’m falling in love with you,” so instead, I say nothing at all. I snuggle into him and let the rhythm of his heartbeat lull me to sleep.

CHAPTER 25

Holden

The past four months have been nothing short of incredible. If you’d have asked me that first night four months ago where I’d be today, I never would have said, “madly in love with Parker Monroe,” but here I am.

Parker and I have settled into a routine of sorts, but that’s all about to change. I have to report to spring training in just a few days, which means I’m leaving for Florida, and my girl and my heart will still be here in Tennessee.

This weekend is Valentine’s Day, and although I know it’s cliché, I plan to tell her that I’m in love with her. So many times over the past couple of months, I’ve almost said the words. In fact, there are times when we’re in bed at night—and I know from her even breaths she’s sound asleep—that I’ve whispered them to her. That changes this weekend. I’m having a hard time with leaving her, and no way am I going to just jet off to spring training without her knowing that she is the absolute love of my life.
