Mountain Topped(38)
Author: K.M. Neuhold

He slides his arms around my neck, his smile soft and sexy. “You can have it, Aldis. We can. Together.”

The heavy pit that’s lived in my stomach since we got back from the camping trip starts to dissolve, leaving behind a buoyant sense of hope and happiness. I claim Hawthorne’s mouth again, delighting in the heat and softness tinged with desperation in his kiss.

“Want to go home and fuck our man silly?” he whispers against my lips.

“Fuck yeah, I do.”

Chapter Eighteen

Bowen

“You guys clearly didn’t work out hard enough if you were able to come home and do that to me,” I pant as I collapse onto my bed, my back and ass cheeks covered with stripes of both Aldis’s and Hawthorne’s cum, my own streaking over my stomach and sticky on my fingers.

They both chuckle, joining me on the bed, lying down on either side of me.

“We climbed every wall they had in the place and got each other off in the shower. Never doubt our power,” Hawthorne teases, slapping my ass playfully.

“Well, damn, that’s impressive.” I let my mind wander for a moment to the image of the two of them going at it in the gym showers, a smile playing over my lips.

“We had a good talk too,” Aldis adds, reaching across my back to casually brush his hand over Thorne’s forearm.

“We did,” Thorne agrees, grinning back like a lovesick fool.

My stomach dances with a whole flood of unexpected feelings. It’s clear from the way they’re looking at each other that things have moved way past the two of them forming a friendship based on their shared hobbies of rock climbing and fucking me. Intellectually, I knew it was there, simmering under the surface, but it’s written all over their faces now…they’re falling for each other.

My skin prickles and a happy feeling fills my chest until it feels like it might burst. I never expected it would feel just as good to see Aldis falling in love with Hawthorne as it does to fall in love with them both myself.

My throat tightens when I realize how true that is. I know it’s fast, maybe too fast, but I’m falling in love with Aldis.

The podcasts I’ve been listening to have said a lot about compersion—being happy when your partner is happy. If I’m honest, I thought it was slightly bullshit. Up until now, they’ve both been focused on me, and that made the transition from a lifetime of monogamy to attempting polyamory feel so much easier. It didn’t occur to me how it must’ve felt for both of them to adjust to sharing, to see someone they care about touched and loved by someone else. But I get it now. Their happiness makes me happy too, even when they’re happy about things that don’t include me.

I swallow around the lump in my throat and roll onto my back so I can see them both better.

“Thank you both for caring about me enough to make this work.” I hold their hands, bringing Aldis’s to my mouth to kiss his fingers and then doing the same with Thorne’s.

“I can’t really take any credit. I was just following my dick and doing my best not to get too in my head with all of this.” Thorne snuggles close and kisses my bare shoulder.

Aldis mirrors him, giving an amused snort as he cuddles up to me as well. “I was shooting in the dark and hoping for the best.”

We both laugh.

“I know that I’ve already given you both my virtue and all, but I do have a romantic date planned for us tonight if you’re up for it,” I confess once the sweat and cum has cooled on our skin and we’ve all had a chance to catch our breath.

“I’m always up for anything that involves the two of you,” Aldis says.

“What he said,” Thorne agrees. “I need a shower first though.”

We both agree quickly, and within a matter of minutes, we’re testing that theory on whether the three of us can fit into the shower together. Spoiler alert: there are elbows thrown, many complaints of being cold when the water spray doesn’t reach someone, and a lot of bare, wet skin rubbing together. So all in all, it’s not the worst shower I’ve ever taken.

ALDIS

“You’re not going to give us any hints about where you’re taking us?” I ask, squeezed between the two of them in the front seat of Bowen’s truck.

He grins playfully and shakes his head. Hawthorne’s hand lands on my thigh, and I lean into him. I don’t really care where our date is. I’m just happy to have the whole night with them. I make a mental note to call my landlord tomorrow about breaking my lease. I know we said moving in would just be a trial, but I’ve never been a half-measures kind of man. If I’m doing this, I’m going all in. If it fails, I’ll pick myself up and make a new plan from there.

Bowen glances over at the two of us, a happy kind of peace written all over his expression. My heart swells and something deep inside me finds peace as well. I don’t think this will fail, at least not as long as I have anything to say about it. They’re mine now, and I’m not letting them go.

The sun is slowly setting when Bowen pulls his truck off the road and into a field of tall grass and not much else, except for a barn that looks like it might collapse if you look at it just a little too hard. He swings the truck around and backs up close to the barn before shutting the engine off.

“We’re here.”

“Where are we exactly?” I look around again, expecting to find something in this field that I missed the first time.

“I’ll show you.” He hops out of the truck, and Thorne and I exchange confused looks before following him.

He flips the truck bed cover off, revealing blankets and pillows piled into the back. Christmas lights are strung up around the edges, which he turns on with the battery pack they’re plugged into. Then he crawls in and pulls out his laptop and what appears to be a projector.

“We’re taking movie night to the next level,” he explains.

“This is fucking awesome.” Thorne hops into the truck bed and crawls into the cocoon of blankets, and I follow suit.

“This is an awesome idea,” I agree, making myself comfortable while Bowen gets the movie all set up between us, projecting it onto the side of the barn.

“What are we watching?” Thorne asks.

“I have options. I’ve downloaded 127 Hours, Vertical Limit, or Everest.”

“I’m sensing a theme,” I chuckle.

“Yup, the theme is you guys are fucking nuts for climbing straight up the side of giant rocks.”

“Are we crazy, or are we sexy fucking badasses?” Thorne challenges with an arched eyebrow. I nod sagely in agreement, and Bowen laughs.

“Vertical Limit it is,” he decides, hitting the button to start the movie and then burrowing himself down into the blankets between us.

With a sea of stars overhead, the only light for miles coming from our movie, the string of lights surrounding us, and the dead silence of our isolation, it feels like we’re the only people in the entire world right now.

I wrap an arm over Bowen and Hawthorne’s hand finds mine, the three of us connected. I nuzzle my face into the crook of his neck and take a deep breath, filling my lungs with him. It’s so wild to think that lusting after some guy who looked good bench pressing at the gym has turned into all of this, into everything I ever dared to dream of but never really thought I’d find.
