Decker's Dilemma (Knights & Dragons MC #1)(27)
Author: Chantal Fernando

He suddenly flips me over, taking back control, and kisses my neck as he thrusts in and out. The sex we have is uninhibited and unrestrained, and it’s like he knows what I want and need from him without me actually saying the words. He reads my body and goes with it, and I his.

After I climax again, he turns me around to enter me from behind and makes the sexiest sounds ever, little deep groans until he finishes himself.

When he slides out of me, I slump onto the bed and catch my breath while he heads to the bathroom.

“Holy fuck,” he whispers when he returns, lying down next to me.

I close my eyes and smile. “See? That was a good idea, don’t you think?”

He laughs and pulls me into his arms, cuddling me.

   We both fall asleep.

But not much time passes before we’re both reaching for each other again.

“This room looks like a bomb hit it,” I comment the next morning after we wake up, sitting on the edge of his bed. The lamp has fallen on the floor from his side table. There are pillows and clothes thrown everywhere, along with condom wrappers and bottles of water we got from the fridge in the middle of the night to rehydrate us.

“I know,” he replies, in both an amused and smug tone. He sits up and scans the carnage. “That’s when you know that you had a good time.”

A good time is an understatement.

Decker worshipped my body and made me feel so comfortable that I wasn’t shy in the least. We had sex four times during the night, and to be honest, I could probably go for another round right now.

He stands up in all of his naked glory, and I take the time to study him in the morning light. He’s perfect. He’s all muscle, smooth skin, and a nice round, tight ass that I want to take a bite out of. He has no tattoos, which is unusual nowadays, but I find the bare, tan skin really sexy on him.

“I’m going to make us some breakfast,” he says when he reaches the door. “Any requests?”

   “Coffee?”

He grins. “Of course. Bacon and eggs sound good?”

   “Perfect.”

He disappears and I head into the bathroom to have a quick shower and freshen up. I know that I’m going to have to answer a lot of questions from Clover about my rash decision to basically invite myself over here last night, but I don’t regret it one bit.

I exit the bathroom in nothing but a white towel, only to see that Decker left out one of his T-shirts and boxer shorts for me to wear. He comes off as such a bachelor, a playboy, but I’m comforted by how thoughtful he can be.

I put on his clothes and find him in the kitchen, frying bacon in nothing but some boxer shorts. “You like to live dangerously, don’t you?”

He turns around and smiles, and it makes me want to drag him back into that room. Or hell, that kitchen counter looks pretty appealing.

He picks up a mug and hands it to me. I put my phone down on the counter to take it from him. “Coffee for you, white with two sugars. And yeah, a little burning oil isn’t going to intimidate me.”

I grin and take a seat, blowing on the hot liquid. “I remember you saying last night that you aren’t so good in the kitchen.”

But the view looks pretty damn good from here.

“I mean, this is just frying. Anyone can do that,” he replies, amusement dancing in those green eyes of his.

Green is such a dull word for the color they are. The color of the ocean around a tropical island destination. Clear and inviting. I have no doubt that many women have gotten lost in those eyes, and had their heart broken by them too.

Decker serves up our breakfast and we sit side by side to eat it.

“I’m surprised Clover hasn’t called yet,” I say, taking a bite of the bacon.

Decker grins. “How do you feel after finally meeting Con?”

I cringe, remembering how I got her to drop me off here last night. Probably not the best first impression to make for my little sister. “I thought she was cool. I know she has grown up differently from the way we all did, but none of that matters to me. As long as she’s a good person, that’s all that I care about. And I think that she is. What did you think?”

“I thought she was nice,” he agrees, nodding. “I know Clover will have her walls up about her for a while, but I don’t think that is a bad thing either. It takes a while to really get to know someone.”

“You’re right. I do want to see her more and get to know her, though. She doesn’t have any other family left.”

   “You’re a good person, Cara.”

My phone rings from where it sits on the counter between our plates, and our eyes both go to it. I was expecting Clover’s name to pop up, but no, it’s Rhett calling me.

   I ignore the call.

“Sorry about that,” I mutter, wincing at the timing.

Decker goes quiet, and I know he’s thinking about the situation we’ve gotten into.

I’m a mess, and my life is a mess, and now is not the time to start something new with anyone. I’ve only just broken up with my one and only long-term boyfriend, the person I thought was my forever. And I should be single and spend some time finding me before I get into anything else. At least that’s what logic tells me.

Decker is a little distant after that, and I completely understand why. There’s a reason we were both hesitant to jump into bed with each other—the timing is all off.

But we did anyway, and I know I’m the one who initiated that.

We’re silent as he calls a cab to take us to Clover’s to drop me off and to pick up his car, with me still in his T-shirt. Talk about a walk of shame.

Clover comes out to meet us, smiling when she sees me. “There you are. Have a good night, you two?”

I clear my throat. “Yes, I did, actually.”

She smirks and turns to Decker. “You coming in, or you have to head off?”

Decker shifts on his feet. “I think I’m going to head home. Thanks for the invite, though.”

He turns to me and reaches his fingers out to touch mine. “Have a safe trip home.”

I smile, but don’t say anything. Clover and I watch him until his car disappears from sight.

“Safe trip home? You didn’t tell him you were moving here?” Clover asks, still looking out at the road.

   Shit.

“It never came up.” And I only just decided this yesterday.

I need to sort out my head and my feelings and figure out what the hell I’m doing.
