Dream Maker (Vegas Vipers #2)(54)
Author: Stacey Lynn

“So…” Her bottom lip found its way between her teeth. “You’re happy?”

The thread holding me back snapped and I placed my hands on her cheeks. “You’re moving here… not into this building but in with me, right?”

“That was the idea.”

“Thank fuck.” I slammed my mouth to hers and she yelped, which quickly turned to a moan and screw people walking by. Screw anything except the desperate need I had to be with my wife.

Who had done all of this. Figured out what she wanted and made her own damn dreams come true.

“Fuck, I love you,” I gasped as I wrenched my mouth off hers. My need was too hot. Too heavy. Too needy and too… everything.

My hands went to her ass and she jumped as I lifted, locking ankles behind me. “I would take you home, be gentle, make love to you. We should shower and get the hospital stench off us, but I just… I need you.”

“There’s a massage table in the back. It’s—”

She sounded as desperate as me.

I slammed my mouth to hers again. I’d find it. The place wasn’t that big. I kicked open doors into rooms that weren’t yet done, found chairs so huge I couldn’t imagine their purpose, a bathroom, a small office area, and then the table.

Smaller than what I imagined. It’d do. I turned, settled her on her feet and then flipped her around, pushing my hand to her back so she was folded over the bed.

“When we get home, I will take you slow, make it good for you and do you in every position you want, your choice, but if I’m not inside of you in two seconds…”

She was already kicking off sandals and tearing down her shorts. No underwear. Jesus. I could have fingered her in the waiting room or something. Taken this edge off. Not that the thought hadn’t crossed my mind while we were waiting for Lizzie to give birth. Sneaking off to a bathroom because she’d been away from me for so long and then next to me in a place where we couldn’t touch. It was all I’d thought about.

But now she was here. Pulling off her shirt and bra and revealing herself to me and I did the same, grabbed a condom from my pocket, and tore it with my teeth.

“Bend over and pray I don’t fucking break this table,” I groaned, rolling on the condom. I was hard. Pulsing. So goddamn desperate to be with my wife.

She laughed but listened, curled her hands around the other side and laid her cheek on the table. “Hurry.” She arched onto her toes, which made it easier to reach her.

I bent my legs, settled my cock at her entrance. She was already soaked and I slid like silk over her clit. She moaned, bit her lip. “Please. Joey…”

I shoved inside of her, and goddamn my wife was so damn sexy, so damn warm and she gripped my dick like a vise as soon as I started to move.

I couldn’t hold back, didn’t want to. But I did need to make it good for her. I bent over her, kissed her neck, her shoulder blades, everywhere my lips could touch I kissed and found her clit with my fingers, the swollen bud. She writhed against me. The table screeched in tandem with my thrusts.

It was over fast, right as Gabby’s legs started to tremble, I flicked her clit, hard, with my thumb and she exploded, went off like a rocket and I followed her into oblivion as the heat I’d barely contained unleashed into an orgasm that had me roaring her name into her spine.

Once we settled our breathing, stood, I planted a gentle kiss on her and handed Gabby her clothes. “Let’s go home and you can tell me how this happened.”

“Home,” she whispered and gave me a kiss. “That sounds perfect.”

Yeah. It’d never sounded better to me before, either.

Gabby

“What the fuck is happening?”

That came from Joey, face pale, hands on his hips. I couldn’t blame him. It was Christmas Eve. We were surrounded by the entire Taylor clan, along with Garrett and Lizzie, Archer and Gavin, and my mom. It was the rare time during the year when Carolina played Las Vegas, so his entire family came out to spend the holidays with us.

It was perfect. Between Sonya and my mom, I’d surrendered the kitchen over to them. We’d spent the last few days taking care of a gaggle of kids, swimming, drinking, and eating. Oh dear Lord, had we eaten.

It was setting up to be the best Christmas ever. I had Joey. His family. Mine. We were married—happily now, and my official name change to Gabrielle Taylor had happened in October.

I’d needed to pinch myself to ensure this wasn’t all a dream up until fifteen seconds ago.

Joey and Garrett’s phones had started going psychotic with alerts and Garrett had barked out, “Turn on the news. Now.”

“Shit.” I flinched and kissed the top of Archer’s head. “Sorry, buddy.”

“This is… this can’t be right. Dom’s an asshole, but he’d never…”

Assault a woman. At least, that’s what the reporter was claiming someone said happened. He’d been at a bar. Got in a fight with a guy, witnesses described as beaten to a bloody pulp and shredded to pieces and someone had caught him tossing what looked like a passed-out woman into the back seat of his Maserati.

“He wouldn’t.” In the four months since I’d lived in Vegas permanently, I’d gotten to know Dom. Not well. We weren’t buddies. But he came around more than he ever had before. He was quiet. Didn’t talk much about himself. But I got the sense he wasn’t just a good guy, but one of the best. Yeah, he had issues. But this?

“This is going to fuck with the team,” Joey said, shaking his head.

We’ve been able to confirm that Dominick Masters last year’s Defensive Player of the Year for the Las Vegas Vipers has been arrested. Charges are pending during the investigation, but it appears…

The screen turned blank and we all spun.

“You don’t need to see this. It’s all speculation.” Leave it to my mom to take control. With the remote in her hand, her brows puckered. “The team will handle this. Call their lawyers. Get in touch with them. But tonight is Christmas. It’s about family. So we focus on that and figure out how to be there for your teammate tomorrow.”

Damn.

Joey smirked at me and quietly said, “Now I know where you get your bossiness from.”

I rolled my eyes. “You’re the bossy one.”

Hands there. Knees spread. Take it. Open your mouth. Suck my—

“You’re right,” John Sr., Joey’s dad, said with a quick nod. He whipped me out of the memories of last night, in the shower, where I’d come with Joey’s powerful thrusts at my back, his hand covering my mouth so I didn’t scream the house down.

“Tonight is for us. We’re all together and we’re blessed for it. So let’s keep Dominick in our thoughts. Think the best of him until we know more. But tonight, we take the moment to cherish everyone being here.”

“He’s right,” Garrett said with a nod. He had Gavin in his arms, and I was learning my brother was rarely without one of his sons in his arms. At four months old, almost to the day, the babies were growing. Now they had fat rolls at their thighs and wiggled so much it was difficult to diaper them.
