Whispered Promises (Brie's Submission Book 24)(10)
Author: Red Phoenix

Closing her eyes, Brie endured the man’s touch as he ran his hands over her breasts and belly. “I see she’s had children,” he stated with disappointment.

“Two, to be exact. It makes her a perfect candidate for tonight’s entertainment. Her mothering instincts will play well into this challenge.”

The man’s hands became more aggressive as he explored her body, looking for sensitive areas that were susceptible to pain. “Does she like the cane?”

Brie involuntarily shuddered.

Although Marquis Gray had once shown her the tool could be used for pleasure, she knew the extreme pain it could produce.

Chuckling, the man told Holloway, “I enjoyed seeing her reaction when I mentioned the cane.”

“This slave is not a masochist,” Holloway proudly informed him.

“Good.” The man cupped her chin and lifted it to study her face, murmuring, “I find that very arousing.”

“I look forward to hearing my songbird sing for you tonight.”

Holloway snapped his fingers and Venom left, returning with a rolling cart covered in a wide variety of dangerous instruments. Along with a cruel-looking cane, Brie’s eyes were drawn to the sharpened hooks and a vicious flogger made of barbed wire. Numb with fear, she stared down at all the instruments on the cart. She knew with certainty that every tool on display would be used on them tonight.

Thunder rocked the building again as the chaotic storm ramped up.

Closing her eyes, Brie stilled her thoughts. She would not let fear steal away the strength she needed to meet this trial.

When she opened her eyes again, she caught a glimpse of a shadowy figure outlined by a lightning flash just outside the window. Her heart raced as she fought to remain calm.

The old man picked up the cane, stroking it lovingly. “This is a Tohiti.” He whipped it around, cutting the air with its ferocity. “They are commonly used in prisons.”

With a gleam in his eye, he added, “It is quite heavy and causes extreme pain when applied correctly.” He grazed his hand over her bare skin. “What I like most are the permanent marks my cane leaves behind.”

The other men grunted like animals and shifted in their seats, turned on by the promise of violence.

No longer afraid, Brie met the man’s unholy gaze.

Lightning flashed above with thunder immediately following. It was so close that the entire building shook from its force.

Sir was here…

Her Protector

“Bind her arms above her head and gag her,” the bearded man commanded. “I don’t want to be distracted from my art.”

Brie could feel the man’s intense level of sexual arousal as he gripped his cane tightly. Meanwhile, Venom gagged her and secured her wrists to a chain, pulling it taut above her head.

Brie kept her eyes set forward and blinked slowly as if she were meekly accepting her fate, not wanting to not give away her desire to catch another glimpse of Sir.

Holloway’s eyes shone with an ungodly light as he waited for the macabre scene to begin while the storm raged outside.

Brie shuddered in disgust when the old man ran his hands over her bare skin. He looked into the nearest camera and smiled. “And now for my newest creation.”

Glancing in Mary’s direction, Brie found her friend staring at her. The devastating hopelessness on Mary’s face made Brie’s heart clench up in a way she’d never felt before. It was as if she could feel Mary’s despair to the depths of her soul.

Brie fixed her gaze forward again. Her heart raced as the old man positioned himself in front of her and stared at her breasts, a lurid smile curling his lips.

When he lifted the cane, Brie was blinded by a brilliant flash as lightning struck the building. The lights flickered, and the crack of thunder that followed was absolutely terrifying.

“God, this is going to make for a great film!” Holloway cried out excitedly, rubbing his hands together.

Momentarily shaken by the ferocity of the storm, her tormentor focused on Brie again. He raised his arm to deliver the first agonizing stroke of the cane.

Brie squeezed her eyes shut, anticipating the explosion of pain to follow. When it failed to come, she opened them to see Sir wrestling the cane from the man’s hand.

Unable to move or speak, Brie hung there helplessly bound in the chains, watching as a legion of men led by Captain subdued Holloway, Venom, and the other four men in a matter of seconds.

Master Anderson, Baron, and Titov came to assist Sir. Two of them grabbed the old man’s arms, pinioning them behind his back, while Master Anderson drove his knee into the man’s back, pushing him to the floor. Once they had immobilized her tormentor, Sir rushed to Brie and freed her from the chains before ripping the gag from her mouth.

Enveloping her in his powerful embrace, he held her tightly.

“You’re safe, babygirl.”

Brie was mute with shock, unable to believe he was really there in the flesh, worried it was another dream or a hallucination.

She heard Captain cry out plaintively, “Leif!”

Brie watched, with her face pressed against Sir’s chest, as Captain raced to Mary. He pulled a knife from his belt and made quick work of the ropes, gathering Mary into his arms. A profound relief flooded Brie knowing they were both safe.

Holloway couldn’t hurt them anymore.

Brie began shaking uncontrollably as her body reacted to the shock of everything that had happened. Sir pulled away, looking at her with concern.

She broke down sobbing. Wrapping her arms tighter around him, Brie buried her face in his chest, determined to never let go of him.

Safe…

“Do you need a medic?” Sir asked her.

Brie could hear the agony in his voice but shook her head against his chest, not wanting to break their embrace. Holding her tight with one arm, Sir undid the horrid blood-red collar around her neck and threw it across the room. He then took the blanket he was handed and wrapped it around her.

Pulling the phone from his pocket, Sir told Brie, “There are three phone calls we must make.”

Brie closed her eyes, soaking in his strength as she listened to him dial and then speak into the phone. “She’s safe. I have her in my arms right now.”

Her ears perked up when she heard Rytsar’s voice on the other end. She was surprised he wasn’t here.

“Yes, I’m certain she wants to talk to you,” Sir stated, handing Brie his phone.

“Rytsar,” she whimpered.

“Are you okay, radost moya?”

She took a moment to answer. “I will be…”

Brie heard his voice break when he told her, “I have not been able to sleep since the day you were taken.”

Her bottom lip trembled. “I channeled your strength when you were caged in Siberia.”

She heard him start to cry. “I’m grateful…you are alive, radost moya.”

Brie looked up at Sir. He gave her a reassuring smile, but she could see he was struggling to keep his emotions in check.

“I’m safe, Rytsar,” she assured him.

Rytsar let out a tortured groan. “I would give anything to be with you right now.”

Brie frowned, clutching the phone. “Why aren’t you here?”

“I cannot leave Russia, but I sent Titov in my stead.”
