“Um, actually I’d prefer you to take me back to the restaurant so I can get my car.”
“But I’m not done with you yet.”
“Um, so here’s the thing, Sam,” I said softly as he started driving.
“Yes, Shelby?”
“I might be younger than you and I might not be as experienced, and I might have made it very obvious that I would like to sleep with you because I think you’re a fine specimen of the man, but…”
“But, what?” There was a tinge of humor in his voice that both delighted and annoyed me. Sam seemed to enjoy getting under my skin.
“That doesn’t mean you can boss me around like I’m your plaything. And it doesn’t mean I’m going to do whatever you want me to do. It just means that I’m being open and honest in my communication with you. Yes, I want to ride the fucking daylights out of you. I want to bounce up and down on your cock until we’re both screaming each other’s names. However, that doesn’t mean that I’m going to give up my plans for the day. “No one was going to see us,” I said, though heat rushed to my cheeks. I hadn’t even realized there were little kids at the other table. Sometimes I got so one-track-minded that I didn’t pay enough attention to my surroundings.
“So I’m guessing that’s a no?” He sounded disappointed.

“Yeah?” He said looking at me wide-eyed and eager.
I started laughing then. “You know what? You’re so different than I thought you were going to be.”
“What does that mean?”

His jaw tightened. I could tell he didn’t like that comment. “Oh, and how is that?”

“Are you going to take me back to the restaurant?”
“Fine.” He said with a sigh. “So, we’ll go out to dinner?”
“Sure. You can pick me up.”
“Oh, I can, can I?”
“Well, if I’m going to be spending the night at your place, I figure, why should I take my own car?”
He looked at me with a grin. “So you’re spending the night at my place, are you?”
“Well, I figured that was why we were going to dinner, right? The appetizer before the dessert?”
“Ah, you are smart,” he said with a smile.
“Yes, I am.”
“I want you to do one thing for me.” He looked over at me as he pulled into the parking lot where I’d left my car.
“And what’s that?”
He took the packet with the egg out of the plastic bag and handed it to me. “I want you to put this in and wear it at dinner tonight.”
“What?” I glanced at the package then back at him. “Why?”
“Why do you think?” he said. “If you can tease me in a restaurant, I think I should be able to tease you.”
“Seriously, Sam?”
“Yes, Shelby.” He licked his lips. “Tonight we’re going to have some fun. And when I say fun, I mean, I’m going to absolutely blow your mind.”
“Really? You’re going to blow my mind?”
“Oh, yeah. I’m going to blow your mind, and then I’m going to blow something else.” He winked.
“Um, okay. I’m not exactly sure what that means.”
“Really?” He paused. “Are you on protection?”
“Sorry, what?”
“Are you on birth control?” he asked. “Sorry, I meant to ask if you were on birth control or if should I bring protection, but I guess the words got caught up in my head.”
“Oh, because you’re eager, huh?”
“I guess so,” he said with a smile. “So, are you?”
“Yeah,” I told him. “I am.”
“Good,” he said. “That’s what I like to hear.”
“That doesn’t mean I’m going to let you fuck me without a rubber, though.” I could see the disappointment in his eyes, and I laughed. “I mean, when’s the last time you were checked for STDs?”
“Three months ago,” he said. “And I haven’t been with anyone in six months.”
“You haven’t?” I raised an eyebrow. “Really?”
“I told you that.”
“No, you told me the last time you had a girlfriend was six months ago. That doesn’t mean you haven’t fucked someone.”
“I haven’t fucked anyone. I’m clean. What about you?”
“I’m clean. I got tested a couple of months ago as well. I haven’t had sex in a while.”

Chapter Twelve
Sam picked me up at seven.
“So are you wearing it?” he asked as I slid into his car beside him.
“Sorry, what?” I said as I buckled my seatbelt.
He looked absolutely gorgeous in his black shirt and dark slacks. His blue eyes were shining as he grinned at me. “Are you wearing it?” he repeated.
“Maybe, maybe not.” I tossed my hair, acting coy.
“Okay.”
He started the ignition and the car purred to life. Within a few seconds, I could feel the egg inside of me vibrating, and I gasped as I held onto the armrest. “What the…”
“Okay. So you are.” He looked satisfied, and the vibrating stopped.
