To My Dad's Hot Best Friend (The Inappropriate Bachelors #8)(31)
Author: J. S. Cooper

He stared at me for a few seconds, looking thoughtful. “You know that you’re the sexiest woman I’ve ever met, Shelby.”

“You’re just saying that,” I said, looking away

“No. I probably shouldn’t be telling you this because I don’t want you to get a big head,” he said, laughing, “but you really are.” I felt his fingers slipping between my legs, and he rubbed me gently. I moaned softly at the touch.

“Oh my gosh, Sam.”

“I always want to touch you. I want to kiss you. I want to taste you. I just want to be close to you.” He kissed my shoulder as he slipped a finger inside of me. “You’re so tight and wet and… Fuck, Shelby,” he said as he kissed me on the lips. “You are like a drug. I know it’s not good for me, but I can’t get enough.”

“Well, you’re my drug too, you know,” I said as I pulled him over on top of me. “Do it to me slow. Do it to me soft.”

“You’re ready for one more go?” he said as he shifted between my legs. I felt his cock rubbing against me, and I nodded.

“Yeah, we can do vanilla. Just once.”

“Oh, yeah?” He kissed me. I felt the tip of him rubbing against my clit and I moaned. He pushed a few inches inside of me and stilled.

“Oh my gosh, Sam. Please.”

“Please what?” he said, looking down at me.

“You know what.” I shifted, trying to get him to thrust completely inside of me.

“I want to hear the word, Shelby,” he said softly.

“Fuck me, Sam,” I cried out and grabbed his ass. He grinned down at me and slid into me hard.

“Your wish is my command, darling. Your wish will always be my command.”

Chapter Twenty-Three

I woke up feeling satiated and happy. I shifted in the bed to look over to see Sam, but he wasn’t there. I frowned and wondered if he’d left me just as I’d left him the day before.

“This is his house, silly,” I whispered to myself as I sat up.

I grabbed my phone and frowned, seeing I had a missed call and several text messages from Brian.

“Good morning, beautiful.” Sam walked into the room with a large tray. “Hey, what’s wrong?” he said when he saw the look on my face.

I looked at the tray. There were two glasses of freshly squeezed orange juice, two cups of coffee, bowls of cereal, toast, eggs, and bacon.

“Did you make that for me?” I said, surprised.

“I made it for both of us, though I am sure you must be just as hungry as I am.”

“I am,” I said, as I put my phone back down. “Thank you. This looks amazing.”

“Why were you frowning? Who texted you?”

“It doesn’t matter,” I said quickly.

“Tell me, Shelby.”

“I don’t want to,” I said.

“Shelby.”

“It was Brian. He was basically just telling me that I’m a slut, and that he can’t believe that I had my granddad come and threaten to beat him up.”

Sam’s eyes narrowed, and he shook his head.

“That guy really wants to lose his life, doesn’t he?”

“Please, Sam, don’t say or do anything.”

“I won’t,” he said. “But he’s such a douche bag. I cannot believe you…” He paused. “Nothing,” he said.

“No. What were you going to say? You can’t believe that I what?”

“I can’t believe that you hooked up with that dude.”

“Well, I didn’t sleep with him,” I said, not really wanting to carry the conversation any further. “Anyway, it’s not like you haven’t been with crazy women. I’m sure you’ve been with lots.” He smiled as he sat down on the side of the bed and took a glass of orange juice. “… And I guess you’re not going to deny it.”

He stopped drinking. “Aren’t all women crazy?”

“No, they’re not!” I said, hitting him in the shoulder. “That is so misogynist!”

“I know. Sorry. Every woman I’ve dated hasn’t been crazy. There have definitely been some, though.”

“I’m sure there have been. And do you regret having dated them?”

“Honestly, there’s at least a couple that I regret ever having given my number to. One of them still texts me to this day. And it’s been ten years since we hooked up.”

“I guess she got some of that Sam peen and couldn’t give it up,” I said with a smile.

“Well, I’m sure you know the feeling,” he winked at me.

“Whatever, Sam.”

“Why, you’ve had some of my peen, and I’m sure you don’t want to give it up.”

“Yeah, but I’m not crazy,” I laughed. I reached down and grabbed a slice of toast and took a bite. “Mm, this is delicious. Thank you.”

“You’re welcome.” He looked at me for a long moment. I stared at him, wondering if he was going to say anything.

“What? You’re just looking at me,” I said finally.

“Yeah, I guess I’m just looking at you in a different light this morning.”

“Oh,” I said, raising an eyebrow. “How’s that?”

“Well, you’re not just a spoiled brat.”

“Yeah. I know that.”

“And I know I tease you a lot, but I really enjoy the time that we spend together. And it’s not just about the amazing hot sex that we have, or that you’re fucking beautiful. You’re fun. And you’re lighthearted, and you know how to have a conversation.” He shrugged. “It’s hard to meet women that are just chill, you know?”

“Why? They all want babies and husbands?”

“No, obviously not every woman wants to get married and have kids. Well, I mean, quite a few do, maybe most, but—”

“Oh my gosh, Sam!” I said, as he started laughing. “It’s fine.”

“So, what are your plans for the future?”

“What do you mean?” I took a bite of the eggs.

“I mean, you’re graduating soon. What are you going to do with your life?”

“I don’t know,” I said, shrugging. “I haven’t quite figured that out yet. Maybe I’ll go to New York and be a model, or maybe I’ll go to LA and be an actress, or who knows? Maybe I’ll just find me a rich sugar daddy and not do anything at all.”

“Really? I don’t see you doing any of those things.”

“Why? You don’t think I’m pretty enough to be a model?”

“You’re fucking gorgeous, Shelby. We both know that.” He chewed on his lower lip thoughtfully. “No, I just think that you want more from life than just prancing around in skimpy outfits.”

“That’s true. I will just prance around in skimpy outfits in the bedroom. I don’t need to do that on the catwalk.”

“You can prance around in skimpy outfits for me anytime,” he said.

His fingers curled around mine as he brought the toast to his mouth and took a bite. I stared at him for a few seconds, barely able to breathe.
