Safeguarding Kelly(30)
Author: Zoe Dawson

“I need you,” he murmured hotly in her ear and arched his hips against her bottom, the heat and pressure of his shaft along her buttocks a maddening, arousing sensation. “I’ve imagined taking you so many ways. This is one of my favorites. Your tight little body clutching mine greedily until you scream from the overwhelming pleasure of me stroking deep inside you.”

A shudder rippled through her, drugging her mind, her limbs. She wanted that, too. Her sex felt swollen and achy, and she dug her hands into the thick hair at his nape, imagining his hard-muscled body pressing against her, all that golden beauty hers.

The image burned behind her eyes, her body strung tight and throbbing for another release.

Unable to wait any longer, she moved one hand and caressed the head of his cock with her fingers, before positioning him. His groan vibrated along her back as he slid in an excruciating inch. She arched her bottom against his hips, seeking more, just as he surged forward and filled her.

His slow, satisfying thrust gradually gave way to deeper, heavier lunges that possessed and claimed her in an inherently primitive way. Reaching up, he entwined their fingers, slipping his other hand under her top and cupped her breast in his palm, squeezed and fondled the pliant mound, and lightly pinched her nipple between his fingers before skimming lower, along her belly and down to her aching sex.

His fingers found her core, the erotic stimulation causing her to whimper and rock frantically against his pistoning hips.

“Come for me,” he rasped, and she felt his thighs tighten along the backs of hers, felt his hot, damp, panting breaths rushing against the side of her neck, along with the arousing scrape of his stubble. “Now, babe,” he growled and pressed his fingers against her, as deeply and rhythmically as his wild, untamed thrusts.

Her release crested right when his did, and they each rode out the exquisite pleasure of bodies meshing, hips pushing and straining, inner muscles clenching, and an incendiary heat that consumed them both.

Long moments later, Jason’s weight lifted from her, and he cradled her against his chest. “So, have you seen my T-shirt?”

She laughed. “Oh, Jason. What am I going to do with you?” Her voice was shaky.

He turned her then, pulling her flush against him. He wrapped her up in a fierce hold. Decimated by his presence, Kelly clutched him, raw emotion reducing her to tears.

Smoothing down her hair, he turned his face against hers. “It’s okay,” he said softly. “It’s all right.” Shifting his hand in her hair, he expelled a shaky sigh and slid his other arm around her hips, his strength welding them together. He said nothing. He simply held her, as if knowing she could not stand to be separated from him just yet.

Feeling all torn apart inside, she twisted her face in the curve of his neck, trembling from head to toe. She hadn’t known it could be like this—so shattering, so powerful, so unbelievable.

Long minutes passed, and bit by bit the discombobulated sensation passed and her ability to think was restored. He deserved so much. He deserved to be recognized and cherished. It broke her heart to think that his father couldn’t do that. But she wasn’t going to make the same mistake. “Come to my parent’s house for dinner with me and Kiko tomorrow,” she blurted out.

Jason rubbed her back, and she could feel him smile. “Are you sure about that?” His eyes were dark and solemn. “Believe me, I’d understand if you wanted to keep all this quiet.”

It had cost him a lot to make that statement. Kelly could see it in his eyes, and it was all she could do to keep from letting her feelings get the upper hand. “We’ll keep it quiet for the Coast Guard and for Kiko…for now.”

He stared down at her, his gaze troubled. He lifted a wisp of hair off her face and carefully tucked it behind her ear, then he looked at her again. “If you’re sure.”

“Yes. I’m sure.” She could build a life with him on a solid foundation. They could build their own life and own traditions. Kelly realized her father’s respect meant a lot to her, but not at the cost of her own happiness. If he couldn’t find it in his heart to forgive her, be proud of her because she was his daughter and they loved each other, then that was his choice. She couldn’t sacrifice everything she wanted in the process. She’d felt judged her whole life trying to be perfect and live up to her dad’s expectations. Did she have the courage to forge her own path? She was going to prove to herself that she did.

Jason let her go to look down into her eyes. “I would be honored to meet your parents.” He turned and got dressed and smiled when she wryly handed him his T-shirt.

“Mommy?”

Jason straightened and said, “I’ll get her.” She looked up at Jason, her heart skipping a beat when she saw the dark, unsmiling expression in his eyes. He held her gaze a split second, then he lowered his head. Cupping her jaw to protect her from his stubble, he brushed her mouth with the softest, slowest kiss. Kelly’s breath caught and her pulse stumbled. His lips moving against hers, he said, “I could get used to this.” Then he broke the kiss and disappeared out the door.

Kelly bent down and quickly donned her underwear and shorts. Then before she could change her mind, she pulled her cell phone out of her back pocket. She pressed send and when her mom answered, Kelly said, “Hi. I wanted to let you know I’m bringing a guest with me for dinner tomorrow.”

“Oh?” Her mom’s voice was surprised. “What guest?”

“His name is Jason Hollow and he’s with the Coast Guard Investigative Service. We’re working together on a joint case at NCIS.”

“A work colleague, how nice.”

“Six, right?”

“Yes, six will be perfect. Is he allergic to anything that you know of?”

“No. But he’s not fond of Brussel sprouts.”

“Even roasted with goat cheese?”

Kelly laughed at her mom’s firm belief that everything must be tried at least once before you could say you liked it or not. “We’ll have to see.”

“I’ll make a salad, too, just in case.”

“All right. We’ll see you then.” She went to hang up, then said, “Mom, this man is special. Dad—”

“Will be on his best behavior. I’ll see you all tomorrow. Kim’s bringing a pineapple upside-down cake. It’s your dad’s favorite. Should put him in a good mood.”

“Thanks, Mom. Love you.”

She disconnected the call and pressed her hand over her stomach. She didn’t think even pineapple upside-down cake was going to stop her dad’s reaction when the truth came out. But it was past due, way past due.
