Dirty Kisses (The Lion and the Mouse #1)(37)
Author: Kenya Wright

My body submerged into erotic sensation after sensation.

“Kaz, I’m coming.” Her pussy squeezed my cock without mercy.

And a flame of burning desire built in me. A growing wildfire scorching everything in its path. My cock was ready to combust.

“Oh. Oh,” she cried out. Her orgasm was wild and gorgeous. Savagely beautiful. So vulnerable. I loved watching her fall apart until she was too numb to move.

Yes. Like that, Emily.

Her pussy trembled around my cock.

Fuck.

My back grew tight as my fingers gripped her hips, driving into her one last time, crawling deep inside this beautiful woman, possessing her as much as I could.

I came with her, groaning as I thrusted. My vision exploded into color. My skin blazed with numb-thundering heat.

Panting, I held her in my arms, my cock still stiff and inside of her. I didn’t want to let her go and face the truth—the problem I had ahead of me.

Letting out an exasperated breath, she moved out of my arms. “Thank you.”

I pulled my cock out of her, slipped the filled condom off me, and threw it in the small trash can next to the desk.

Lifting her leg, she twisted around and scooted off her desk. Embarrassment flushed over her face.

“Where are you going?” I raised my eyebrows.

I want to fuck you some more.

“I’m going to clean up in the bathroom.” Her ass jiggled as she hurried over to her clothes on the floor and picked them up. “We have to get back to—”

“Come back over here.”

She held her clothes in front of her, shielding her nudity from me. Her gaze swept over my lips, chin, neck, and then back up to my face. “We. . .have brothers to deal with.”

My chest ached. I hadn’t wanted her to remind me of that. The whole point of our fucking was to forget. Now I was back to enraged and I didn’t want her to see it.

“You’re right.” I gritted my teeth. “Go ahead and change.”

What will we do with our brothers? Let’s hope we’ve got this all wrong.

Chapter 15

Maxwell

Xavier’s girls raced all over the damn basement, jumping this place and that place. Still, Darryl and I got bored waiting for my dad and Emily to come down.

The little girls screamed together, “We want to play hide and seek.”

“Okay.” I shook my head. “You two go hide. We’ll find you. Don’t leave that place, when you find it. Just like Emily.”

“You won’t find me.” One of them rushed off and the other followed on even bonier legs.

“Where is the ice cream?” Darryl slung the basketball at the wall and sighed. “I’m going up there to see .”

“I’m coming.”

Forgetting about the girls, we raced up the stairs, knocked each other when we could, trying to see who could get to the top first.

I beat Darryl and fell into the living room as the door opened.

“Hey!” Willie yelled. “Stop all that running. Aren’t y’all getting enough of that down in the basement?”

“Yes, sir.” I scanned the space for Dad or Emily. “We were just looking for the ice cream?”

Willie drank a beer and quirked his eyes at Xavier. “Didn’t Reggie come back from the store with Emily?”

“Shit. That was a minute ago.” Xavier checked his watch, set his cards down, and rose from the table. “I’ll go see what’s up. I’m done playing with your cheating asses anyway.”

Willie pointed at Kennedy’s mother. “She stays signaling.”

Xavier scratched his head and headed toward the front door.

I checked outside the window. The sky had brightened where most of the day it had been dark and gloomy.

“Can we come?” I asked.

“Yeah.” Xavier felt his pockets. “We need more beer anyway.”

A heavy hand hit my shoulder, rushing me back to reality.

I glanced behind me.

Xavier’s old tired face glared as he stood. “It’s all over the streets. People are saying Emily is dead and those Russians too.”

I turned back around and faced the building. The scent of smoke and burning hair filled the air. Even though the day was sunny, a black smog hovered over us.

News vans parked here and there.

Fire fighters hosed down burning shards of wood, trying to get control of the continuous burning that had over taken the place. Sirens blared. Crowds of others stood around, whispering and talking.

Tons of Russian men stood around too, studying all the faces in the area. Many of them looked just as confused as me as they drank the whole scene in.

“Jamaicans and Russians?” Xavier got to my side, pulled a joint out, and lit it. “This whole place is about to be a war zone in a few days.”

“You can’t smoke that out here, X. Don’t you see all these cops around?”

“These motherfuckers too puzzled and busy to deal with me.” He blew out a cloud of smoke. “Thirty people dead so far from the explosion. And with this gun fight on the outside, that totals about sixty.”

There were tons of coroner vans sprawled around the area, lifting covered bodies into them. I’d got to see a few of them. They were all charred and barely in one piece.

A few people had their phones out, recording the whole thing.

“She’s dead,” I whispered.

Xavier laughed and smoked more of his joint. “Poor Maxwell. Sometimes you are slow as fuck.”

“What are you talking about?” I grabbed the joint from him and inhaled a little. “This isn’t funny.”

“If anyone would know if Emily is dead, it would be me.” He pulled out his phone—an old iPhone edition from years ago that he’d found and reprogrammed. He took another hit of his joint and pressed on the screen. “There she is.”

Fuck. I forgot we tagged her. Shit.

The map came up on his screen. A red dot placed her at her art gallery.

Xavier winked. “Aren’t you glad I put that tracker in her heart necklace?”

“Yeah. I was just scared she would find out.”

“Shit. You and me both. If she ever finds out, she’d probably kill us.”

“She wouldn’t.”

“She would and forget about it.” He checked the screen, stomped the joint out, and walked off. “Go home, Maxwell. She’s heading to that building.”

Thank God. She’s alive and going home.

“Eh, Xavier,” I called after the old man and ran up to him.

“What?”

“Darryl was involved in this shit somehow.”

Xavier grimaced. “Of course, he is.”

“If you hear from him, don’t tell him that Emily is alive.”

“I won’t.” He sighed. “Although he knows about the tracker. He might come to me and check to be sure.”

“He probably forgot just like me.”

“I don’t see how you two could forget.”

“That’s how busy she’s kept us this year.”
