Dirty Love (The Lion and the Mouse #2)(38)
Author: Kenya Wright

Groaning, his hips jerked in response.

I smiled wickedly. “Give it to me, Kaz.”

And he did.

He entered me, diving that cock inside.

And the vibe changed. Carnality replaced teasing. Lust dominated rational. Anger dissipated as tongues tangled and hands groped, and my pussy came alive for him, swallowing that thick, big cock. Needing him. Craving him. Giving him my all because he deserved it. Because he needed it just as much as I did.

We’d become one, in many ways.

Neither one of us would deny it.

Things had to change from this moment on. Not only would we share orgasms. We would work together. Kill together. We’d confessed too much tonight to walk away from each other. Did he understand what I believed we’d become?

Things shifted as we came together in the suite, rocking the glass table. Fucking. Moaning and groaning, slick with sex and sweat. Enraptured in each other.

Things had moved into a direction that neither one of us had ever experienced. Not only would we try to love each other, try to define love in some way. We would kill together. We would die together. Whether on a porch somewhere—old and tired. Or murdered, side by side, guns in our hands. Blood all over and bullets spraying.

I didn’t want anybody else, but Emily.

How could she think that I would let her go? No.

If anything, I would hold her closer now.

But she’ll need space too. There would have to be a compromise.

The idea sounded foreign. I tried to taste it on my tongue and didn’t relish in it. Compromises meant power, something I never had to relinquish with anyone else.

She’s worth it.

It was the only thought I could focus on. If I let myself stray to my dark views, I’d have my little mouse in a cage by tomorrow. But no cage could hold her. And no man, if she didn’t desire it.

I would kill for her. In the next couple of days, many would die, and it would be because they took her friends away.

Have you made your funeral plans, Sasha? Have you gotten everything in order? You have no more than twenty-four hours before you breathe your last breath.

Pushing my rage away, I focused my attention back on Em. I held her in my arms and thought about all the things we’d been through. She slept next to me, tossing and turning from a dream. I hoped it wasn’t a nightmare. She deserved peace, even when she slept. If I could muscle the sandman, I would.

Fuck him and anybody that bothers her.

I promised to go against Sasha with her at my side. This would be something new. I’d never had an equal going to war next to me. And never a woman.

Even more, I’d never had any woman cause me to care so much to leave my dying uncle in his castle and search for her.

We’d argued tonight, but I felt that we’d learned a lot from each other. We were both in this until the end. There was no denying it. We didn’t officially say the words, but we admitted more than we probably had to anyone.

She was mine, and I was hers.

I would give her all of me. Fear seeped in my heart at the thought. I’d never allowed anyone this much access to my mind, body, and heart.

But Emily would have it all.

She shook and woke up abruptly. In a flash, her hand rushed under the pillow next to her.

“Nyet.” I held her closer to me. “There are no guns or knives under there.”

“Kaz.” Her body relaxed.

“No one else will be holding you. Every time you wake up, it will be me.”

“Promise.”

I tightened my hold on her. “I do.”

“Can we do this?” she asked with all honesty.

“Yes.”

“And if we can’t?”

“We will never know.”

“Why not?”

“We would be dead, mysh.” I ran my fingers through her hair. Her body felt warm against mine. I checked the clock on the nightstand.

“You have somewhere to be?” she asked.

This was the part that I didn’t want to get into, but I knew I had to get used to it. She asked to be a part of it all. She told me to tell her the truth. And I would have to give it to her, if I wanted the same compliance.

“I’m meeting Maxwell at six in the morning.”

She looked up. “Why?”

“I want him to look into my ex.”

Tension filled the air.

I shook my head. “No. This won’t be a problem for us.”

“Of course not. She’s dead.”

“No woman would be a problem between us, dead or alive.”

She snuggled closer to me. “I hope so. I don’t know what I would do…if there was another woman. Do you understand that, Kaz?”

I smirked. “I’ve had clues of your anger.”

“Do you want me to go with Max and you?”

“No.”

“Why not?”

“Because it would be uncomfortable.”

She sighed. “Why?”

“The hotel suite that she was killed in…was a room I’d bought for her. When I came to Prague, I would meet her in it. Because I didn’t know when I would be here, and I expected her on call, I bought the room for the year.”

She said nothing. It put me on edge. I didn’t know if she felt jealousy or anger, was hurt I said it, or glad I’d remained truthful.

I tried to explain some more. “When I spend time with a woman, I give them things.”

“And your gifts are in there?”

“Some would be.”

“I would get jealous?”

“I don’t know, but if this was your ex and I saw any place where you two had sex, I would burn it down.”

She drew a circle along my bicep. “I want to burn it down now.”

“After Max and I check, mysh.”

She giggled. “You won’t damage it.”

“If you want me to, I will.”

She sighed. “It would be a waste of energy.”

“It would, but I would for you.”

“Then don’t. I’ll get over it.” She shifted to drawing squiggly lines. “When are we going to Moscow?”

“Tomorrow afternoon.”

“What about X’s body?”

“He’s coming with us to Moscow. If it is okay with you, we’ll bury him there.”

“He wanted to be cremated and poured on a beach.”

“When did he tell you this?”

“Every one of his birthdays. We would get him a cake and show up at his bus, and he would simply say, ‘When I die, cremate me, and throw me in the ocean. Let me see the birds fly above. Let me touch the sand. Let me hear the laughter of naked lovers swimming in the water.’”

“Then we will cremate him and find a beautiful beach somewhere in this world,” I said. “We’ll fly there.”

She moved her hand around my waist and tightened her hold on me. “Thank you.”

“You’re mine now. Anything you want, just ask.”

“That’s true with me too.”

I grinned and looked down at her. “What is true?”

“I’ve got you, Kaz.” She stared back with all seriousness. “Whatever you want, just ask, and I’ll give it to you.”
