Evermore (When Rivals Play #2.5)(3)
Author: B.B. Reid

“You make a compelling case,” she purred. After a teasing squeeze of my cock, she took her hand away, and I almost snatched it back. “Convince me.”

My eyes narrowed, and she smiled back. Wordlessly, I sprang into action and started my truck. She was confused until I hit the button for the garage and pulled the truck into one of the open spaces. Killing the engine, I hopped out, and she waited for me to come around and open her door like I had fucking told her time and again to do. The satisfaction of being obeyed had my dick growing another inch, but who was I kidding. I got just as hard the many times she defied me. So much so that sometimes I’d secretly insist on it.

Ripping open her door, I reached for her, glad she had already unbuckled her seat belt. I probably would have destroyed it in my impatience.

“Oh, wait!” She protested when she noticed my father’s car. “Your father’s home. We can’t.”

Wordlessly, I lifted her from the seat and strolled the few short steps to his car before gently laying her on the hood. “And?”

In no time, I had her shorts off and was shoving my sweatpants down just enough to free my cock. Six months ago, I wouldn’t have been caught dead so casually dressed outside the home. How this girl has changed me. I’d say for the better, but she was adamant I was still an asshole.

She gasped when she realized my intention to fuck her right here on my father’s BMW. “Everson Sean McNamara, don’t you dare!”

Silently, I cursed my stupidity for having told her my entire name. “You want me?”

“Yes, but—”

I didn’t give her the chance to say more before sliding inside and having my way. I tried to go slow, but it wasn’t long before I lost control, and for all that protesting, she sure didn’t waste time fucking me back.

Gathering her legs in my hands, I pushed them until she was folded in half, taking nothing but dick. She was completely bare to me, and I watched in awe as her little pussy opened like a rose as I moved in and out.

It wasn’t easy tearing my eyes away, but the sounds she was making drew my attention to her face. Her head thrown back, she looked in complete bliss. Pulling out with a savage grin, I watched her eyes pop open in alarm.

“Wha–what’s going on?”

“I think you’re right, princess. We shouldn’t be doing this here.”

“But we’re already doing it,” she whined.

“My father could catch us any minute.”

She looked ready to maul me when her eyes turned knowing. “I know what you’re doing. You want me to beg.”

“Is it working?”

Tapping her finger to her lip, she turned thoughtful. “I wonder if Jamie is home yet. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind—”

She didn’t get to finish, and she was lucky she hadn’t. After shoving inside her, I began fucking her hard enough to drive her up the hood. I was tempted to follow her, but I couldn’t risk the dents my added weight would undoubtedly put in my father’s car. Yanking her back, I gripped her hips and forced myself to slow down, delivering long, methodical strokes rather than the short, brutal ones from a moment ago.

“Tell me, Four… who’s fucking you?”

“You,” she whimpered.

“And who gets to fuck you?”

“You.”

“Only me?”

“Yes!” she screamed so loud that if I hadn’t been mindless with hunger, I would have been worried my father might hear.

“I fucking thought so.”

I felt her tighten around me, and I gripped her neck before pulling her up for a kiss. She was trembling in my arms as she came, and it wasn’t long before I followed her over the edge with a groan.

“If you don’t go, I don’t go,” I said after catching my breath. She was still breathing hard when I made the declaration.

“Huh?”

“Prom. I’m not going without you.”

“You can’t exactly go with me, either.”

“Then we’ll have our own night. Actually, I prefer it.”

“What about Barbie?”

“If you knew her, you’d know she doesn’t give a shit about prom.”

“They say she’s going to be prom queen and you the king.”

“Jamie and Vaughn have just as much a chance of winning as I do, and not one of us gives a shit. Even if I go, I’ll still be yours. No crown can change that.”

“Aww… Who knew you could be so sweet.”

“I’m a fallen man, Archer. I hope you’re proud of yourself.”

“I am,” she admitted easily. She hopped down from the hood, and I helped her back into her shorts when she realized her legs were too weak to manage on her own. I then fixed my own pants while she yawned. “I could definitely use a nap.”

“Shall I fuck you to sleep?” I flirted.

She shot me a sideways look and pouted. “I think you just did.”

Pulling her to me, I nuzzled her neck, inhaling her scent. “I love you, Four.”

The lazy purr she gave had me holding her tighter. “I bet I love you more.”

Lifting my head, I looked into her eyes. “Not fucking possible.”

Like any night, we waited for the house to quiet down before Four snuck in. I preferred to do the sneaking, but since her room was closer to my father’s suite, and mine was more secluded, it made sense that she spent her nights here. In my bed.

I was sitting on my bed with my back against the headboard, waiting and sketching in my notebook to pass the time, when she came to my room looking determined. I was so concentrated on perfecting a dream—our future—that I hadn’t even realized she was standing at the foot of my bed until she spoke.

“I’ll go.”

My head popped up, and I hurriedly closed my sketchbook. She smirked a little at my surprise, looking way too proud at getting the drop on me. “What’s that now?”

“I’ll go… to prom.” She sat on the foot of my bed and started picking at the threads in my blanket. I didn’t like how far away she was, but something told me to give her this space to get whatever was on her mind out in the open. “Maybe we shouldn’t get hung up on the logistics, you know? We’ll all be there together. Besides… I think I can survive a night in high heels.”

I smiled, feeling my heart beat a wild tempo at how strong and giving this girl was. I struggled for words. It seemed she was always the one compromising, and I—I felt like shit for putting her in this position. I wanted everyone safe and happy, but maybe it wasn’t my responsibility. Since the moment Four agreed to be mine, my only duty should have been to her heart. And I was fucking that up severely.

“You know you don’t have to wear heels,” I said lamely. The thought of wearing heels seemed to torture her more than who might be on my arm.

“Tyra will kill me if I try to wear my bike boots with a dress.”

“Tyra needs to take a Xanax.” I ignored the reproachful look she shot me and crooked my finger. “Come here.”

“Not until you apologize for being a dick.”

“I apologize. Now come here.”

She looked shocked and rightly so. I never apologize.
