Never Let go(9)
Author: Lucy Darling

“I’m fine.” I smile at Jameson. “Your son has been looking out for me. He makes a mean grilled cheese. And I’m not allergic to anything.”

“Perfect. I’m making brunch.”

“Brunch?” Jameson looks confused. “You said breakfast.”

“Well, it’s brunch now.” I fight a laugh because I don’t think he knows what brunch is. I think she meant for it to be breakfast but I slept too late.

“I don’t care what you call it, Ma, I’m just hungry.”

“Then set the table and I’ll get your girl here some coffee.”

“You mean the breakfast bar. Wait.” He gives his mom a playful smile. “Brunch bar?”

She lets out a huff. “That’s fine if you don’t want to eat at the table.”

“We never eat at the table,” he points out. I keep on smiling watching the two of them bicker.

“That’s because you haven’t gotten married and given me grandbabies to fill the table.”

“Did I tell you, Bunny?” He looks over at me. “She barely made it five minutes before she mentioned babies. I’m working on it, Ma.” He bends down, planting a kiss right on me. It’s quick. He starts whistling while pulling plates out of the cabinet. I stand there in shock.

“He’s talking about you,” Rebecca whispers from next to me. My whole face flushes. I don’t know if she’s now teasing me or not. Either way, excitement builds inside me. I know it’s too soon to think about those things, but it is nice to know that’s an option for me. I am starting a new life. One with Jameson sounds really good. More than good actually.

I lean up against the counter watching my mom and Bunny talk. I take a long sip of my coffee. This is a sight I could get used to. It's not only the breakfast I’m talking about. It’s everything about Bunny, from the way she’s making easy conversation with my ma and the overall feel her presence has in my space. I can’t explain it, but I know she’s meant to be here. And not only temporarily.

Her cuddling into me all night was both satisfying and excruciating at the same time. I could feel each little inhale and exhale that came from her. Her round ass was pressed against my hard cock all night, tempting me to within an inch of my control. She’d finally turned in the middle of the night and wrapped herself around me. I thought it would be better but I was wrong. She had thrown her leg over mine, causing her hot little cunt to rub up against my thigh.

It took every last bit of my willpower not to flip her over and pin her to the bed. That was about the time I decided that no matter how much I wanted to stay there with her like that forever, getting out of the bed was the only option. That and I heard my mom come in the front door. She and I are going to have to discuss some new ground rules. Not that she’ll abide by them fully.

“What are you kids up to today?” Ma asks, breaking me from my dirty thoughts of Bunny. I watch as Bunny looks over toward me. I can see the excitement in her eyes thinking about spending some time together.

“Thought I’d take Bunny out on Princess to see some of the land.” I mean, she should start getting familiar with the property since this will eventually be her home too.

“That sounds nice. How about I pack you a basket and a blanket so that you can eat in the pasture?” She turns looking at Bunny. “It’s peaceful there. You’ll love it. There’s a lake too. JJ put a dock on it a few years ago.”

“More food? I don’t know if I can fit another thing.” Bunny rubs her non-existent belly. My eyes immediately flit to where her hand is, imagining how she would look round with my baby. I wipe my hand down my face knowing that this is Ma’s fault. All that baby talk has me crazy.

“It’ll fit,” I say before I realize how it sounds. Bunny’s cheeks turn pink and my Ma doesn’t help the matter with the laugh she lets loose.

“Who’s Princess?” Bunny changes the subject quickly. I watch as my mom gets up and heads back into the pantry to prepare the picnic basket.

“She’s one of my horses.” One that she’s going to look mighty fine on. Princess will be the best for her to ride on. I know she won’t take off on a run with her because Princess doesn't run.

“You named her Princess?” She giggles. I shrug.

“King took a liking to her so it seemed fitting.” It was the first I’d ever seen King like any horse. He was downright smitten when I’d brought Princess home. She was a rescue. She was suffering from malnutrition when I got her. She took some time to come around but we saved her. Now she truly lives like a princess and up to her name.

“King?”

“My horse.” I set my coffee down. “He thinks he’s in charge when I’m not around.”

“Now, Princess is in charge.” Mom comes out of the pantry with a basket in hand.

“I can’t wait to meet them.” Bunny looks down at what she’s wearing. I’m enjoying that she’s still in my shirt. “I’m not sure that what I have on is suitable for riding.” Her clothes don’t matter one bit to me. As far as I’m concerned she’s suitable for anything she wants to do.

“You can borrow my boots. I’ll pick you up some of your own later on today when I’m in town.” My mom beams at her. I knew Mom would be excited when she found out Bunny was here this morning. She ran around the kitchen making breakfast that then turned into a brunch. Whatever the fuck that is. I knew there was no getting her out of here until she’d had her fill of Bunny.

Then I made the mistake of telling her why Bunny ended up here. I think Mom has plans on keeping Bunny too. She is going to do everything in her power to see that Bunny enjoys herself in hopes she won't want to leave. We share that way of thinking.

“You don’t have to do that.” Bunny again blushes a pretty pink. This time not as red as when we’d teased her about babies. I’m sure she thinks it was a joke. Mom was far from teasing.

“It’s just boots.” Mom waves her hand. “I’ve got a million pairs. I’m an eight.” She looks down at Bunny’s tiny feet that are bare. Her toenails are painted a soft pink.

“I’m a seven but that should be fine if you don’t mind.”

“Of course I don’t mind.” Mom starts pulling stuff out of the refrigerator. I know she’s going to be a minute. Ma doesn't half ass shit and I can guarantee that’s going to be the best picnic basket she’s ever made.

I know now is my chance. Mom got herself some time with Bunny and now it is my turn. I need a taste of her or I’m not going to be able to do shit for the rest of the day. I didn't know something could throw me off track this much, but I’m finding it hard to even think straight right now. And the way that Bunny keeps wiggling around makes me think she needs my mouth too. What kind of man would I be if I left her in need? I don’t know but I’m sure as fuck not going to find out.

Something is wrong with me. I’m standing here with Jameson’s mom and I can’t stop staring at his mouth. This has to be the world's longest pause. The way he watched me during brunch and after when he’d joked about him not fitting has me wet between my thighs. I never knew that I could have this strong of an attraction toward someone. Sure, I’ve experienced passion for my music and for my dance, but nothing comes close to this.
