Purgatory(48)
Author: Hayley Smyth

I looked out the window and waited for thunder, only rain came. “Come where? It's still raining.”

Jax grabbed my heels and helped my feet into them. “A little rain never hurt anyone.” He put his fingers to his lips and then pointed behind him, showing me that Benny was asleep, sprawled across the bed.

“Shouldn't we be heading back now if we can?”

He got to his feet and held out a hand for me. “I've just rang Vlad, told him we'd be making tracks in ten or so. It's fine.”

I looked between his hand and his beautiful face. I supposed I could do this, spend a few moments alone with the man who'd changed my world, it's not as though I could hop in his truck and drive myself home, anyways.

“Okay,” I sighed, smiling, taking hold of his hand, relishing at how mine fit so perfectly in his.

Jax opened the motel door, and together we made a run for the bus shelter, its seats were still half attached I noticed, and the cold blast of rain had me squealing and laughing.

“Oh, my God, it's so cold!” I breathed, flicking water from my soaking hands. The shelter did little to protect us from Mother Nature's torment; the rain hit the puddles around us and sprayed our legs.

I continued to laugh as I tried to tame my hair, turning to see Jax staring at me, a goofy grin on his face.

My cheeks blushed. “What? Why are you looking at me like that?”

He shook his head and sparked up a cigarette; the smoke danced around his face before the wind carried it away. “I just realized I've never heard you laugh before.” He took a seat, perching his bum at the edge of the plastic bench, and beckoned for me to sit next to him.

I sighed. “I can't remember the last time I did, either.”

“Sit closer, bird; I won't bite.” He said, and so I did. I'm not sure what it was, my depraved mind, or just the fact that today had been a strange day of new things, but just being here, in the rain with this beautiful man, that feeling he usually provoked in me came back. My body was on fire despite the low temperature, my nipples hard beneath my dress, and everything below my waistline was crying out in need.

I dared to look at Jax, and if I wasn't mistaken, I could see the same lust in his eyes. Dark eyes were now black, but not the kind that scared me, his mouth parted just a fraction, and I could see his tongue, and I wanted it on me. I wanted his hands all over my body, and I wanted to feel the type of love I'd only ever read about, with him, I wanted it all.

“Bird, can you feel it?” He asked, his voice gruff.

I swallowed, turning my gaze away. “Yes”

“Come here,” he said softly, flicking the butt of his cigarette away, to take my hand.

With my heart in my throat, I followed his lead, watching with bated breath as he opened his legs, pulling me between them, so I was flush against his chest. His hand reached up to brush my hair away, and his warm breath tickled my face. I couldn't take my eyes off of him.

He teased my jawline with his thumb, that one small touch my undoing, leaving me gasping and aching in a way I wasn't sure was normal. Feeling brave, I slipped my arms around his neck, stroking the wet strands of hair that were out of place, all the while watching him stare at my lips, and then back into my eyes. Under the dim light, his face was bathed half in shadow, and I leaned forward to rub my nose along his. As I opened my mouth to say something, his lips found mine and his kiss took my breath away. He kissed me, slow and hard, sucking all the sanity I had left. My legs were complete jelly as his tongue probed mine, it was a delicate kiss, but I could feel the beat of his heart beneath my palm. I could hear the quiet moans at the back of his throat, and most of all, I could feel his hardness against me.

The kiss ended, our foreheads resting on one another, we were both breathless, clinging on with all our strength. “You're incredible, sweetheart,” he breathed, groping my ass harder. “I've never needed anyone the way I need you.”

I moaned, burying my face into his neck. “I need you too, Jax.”

He growled and then stood up, breaking our contact. “Come with me,” he didn't wait for my response before he grabbed my hand and pulled me back the way we came, only instead of going to the room we'd booked, he walked to one a few doors down and pressed his ear against it.

“Jax, what are you doing?” I half laughed.

“Stand back.” He demanded.

I did and watched open-mouthed as he raised his foot and kicked the door in, the wood broke easily, letting the door swing open and I thanked the Gods that the rain was still hammering down; what if someone had heard?

“Oh, my God, Jax. Don't; we'll get in trouble,” I was still laughing, uncaring that every single inch of me was now soaked once more.

“I don't fucking care, come here.” We hurried into the room, and Jax closed the broken door, it wouldn't click shut, of course, and he looked around for something to wedge it shut.

Like a man possessed, he pushed the double bed from the middle of the room until it was against the door, he closed the curtains and then stood before me once more. Hands immediately cupped my face, and I teetered on my heels. Was this going to happen? Oh, my.

“It's your call, bird. You say no, and I'll stop.” He kissed me once, and I sighed into his hard, warm body. “Yes or no, bird?”

I didn't hesitate. “Yes.”

Jax groaned against my mouth as he kicked off his shoes. He was a flurry of movement, stripping from his jacket, emptying his pockets. And then he stood back, his fingers unbuttoning the blue shirt and I looked on, aching and wanton for him.

Slipping the shirt from his shoulders, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. A heavily defined V at his hips, a smattering of chest hair, a muscled stomach; he was truly perfect. And I felt a little intimidated and ashamed and a whole host of other contradicting feelings.

My hand moved, wanting to reach out and touch his bronzed skin, but then I snapped it back.

Jax noticed and smiled, he beckoned me with his finger and then took my hands, placing them on his bare chest. I gasped, he felt like heaven. “You're beautiful,” I murmured, my legs wiggled back and forth, desperate to have this ache sated.

“Not a patch on you, sweetheart.” He kissed me again and then got to his knees before me. I couldn't look as his hands rubbed up and down the backs of my thighs, slowly teasing the hem of my dress higher and higher. His lips placed tender kisses on my inner thighs, and I wobbled - these damn heels. Every single nerve my body had was buzzing, a sharp electric zap shot through my spine when he began to undo the hooks on my suspenders, rolling each stocking down to reveal my flesh.

“Take these off, baby,” he tapped at my ankles and helped me remove my shoes, before peeling the stocking off each leg. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't see straight, his hands all over me knocking me senseless.

With my dress now bunched around my hips, he stood back up, devouring me with his mouth once more. I felt his hands move around me, seeking the zipper to my dress, and so I helped direct him, and with expert skill, he unzipped me, pushing the straps of my bra down my arms with the material of my dress.

He gazed down at my now bare chest, and a low growl rattled the back of his throat. “Sweet Jesus, bird. Perfect.” He said, lowering his head to blow warm breath over my already hard nipple. I cried out, nails digging into his back, and he took this as encouragement to carry on. His lips wrapped around my hard peak, his tongue swirling and licking, teeth gently biting, and I felt every single touch and movement between my legs. He then did the same to the other and an intense pressure built between my legs, leaving my panties soaked. I wasn't sure how much more I could stand before the timer ran out, and I exploded into a pool of desire.
