Addictive(15)
Author: Lola Finn

“It’s fine,” I say, re-securing the tie on my robe. “I liked the quiet.”

“Well, I’ll do better. I swear.” She glances around the room. “Everything go okay with Knox and Kennedy?”

I nod. “Yeah. I barely saw them, but…”

She gives a small smile. “They’ll warm up.”

One of her concerns has been Knox, Kennedy, and I all getting along. I don’t think she ever considered I might get along too well with one of them.

“Oh,” she says, heading across the room. “I need a picture of the molding to show the designer. We’re hoping to match in the new master bath.”

I feel my entire face go hot, my pulse hammering the closer she gets to the closed door. “I can get it later.”

“Don’t be silly. It will take two seconds.” She throws the door open, and I cringe, really hoping Knox at least put on his boxers.

When she doesn’t scream or start shouting, I hurry into the bathroom, but all I find is my mom, pointing her phone at the corner of the ceiling.

“Perfect.” She cups my cheek on her way past me and presses a kiss to the other side. “Get dressed and come downstairs for breakfast.”

As she walks out, I see the window’s cracked open. I wait until Mom shuts the bedroom door before I go over and look down into the backyard. Brent’s standing by the deep end of the pool, talking to Knox, in the water with his arms folded over the ledge.

After Brent turns to come inside, Knox glances up, and I push the window the rest of the way open. His biceps flex as he pushes himself out of the pool, and he drips his way across the flagstone in his boxers. He grabs a towel off one of the loungers, uncovering the rest of his clothes, and I shake my head. He flashes me a grin, dragging the towel through his hair, and picks up his clothes on his way inside.

 “Thanks for breakfast, Leigh.”

 I smile, re-latching the window.

“So, I’m thinking we do something extra special today to make up for me being a flake.” Mom slides into the seat across from me at the breakfast table and immediately steals a piece of bacon off Brent’s plate beside her. “Not that it’s totally my fault.”

His lips twitch, and I shake my head, smiling at her trying to shift the blame onto him while eating his breakfast. He settles his arm on the back of her chair and rubs her arm with his thumb.

“No extra special day needed. I already told you…” I trail off when Knox appears in the doorway. Shirtless.

He runs his hand over his chiseled abs, brushing over the perfect trail of hair disappearing into his jeans, which of course leads me to his massive bulge. I bite my lip, feeling the ache from having him buried so deep inside me.

“Told her what, Leighton?” Brent’s voice tears me out of my lust-fueled haze over his hot as sin son, and I blankly blink at him until he smiles. “You were saying you told your mother…”

“That I really enjoyed the quiet this weekend.”

Knox smirks, muscles rippling when he tugs on his shirt. Not that him fully clothed is any less of a distraction. My panties are embarrassingly wet by the time he walks into the breakfast alcove and pulls out the chair beside me.

“I also told her she’s forgiven.”

“I know, doll, but I need to feel like I really earned it.” Mom gives a quick smile to Knox as he sits, and then she points a piece of Brent’s bacon at me. “Shopping.”

“Mom.” I shake my head, feeling Knox’s hand grazing my thigh when he leans forward to pick up a glass of orange juice.

“We’ll make a dent in the list of things you need to take with you to college in the fall. You leave, what, a week after the wedding?”

I nod, and Brent sets his coffee cup down.

“Sounds like an excellent plan then. Who knows, maybe we’ll get lucky and you’ll rub off on my son.”

My entire body numbs, and Knox almost spits out his juice. He covers his laugh with a cough and clears his throat. And, I swear, I turn six shades of red. Luckily, Mom’s already started writing a list on the back of her hand, and Brent’s staring at his son.

“What do you think, Knox? Any chance I’ll have three kids in college by the end of summer?”

Knox sets his glass on the table, and I glance over, expecting to see his jaw set like any other time his dad not so subtly nudges him in a certain direction—which almost guarantees Knox will shove back.

But then he surprises us all with his response.

 “Never say never, right?”

Brent’s eyes widen slightly at his son’s apparent openness, and his entire face relaxes. “Maybe we can discuss it on the course?”

Knox shrugs and sits back in his chair, nonchalantly moving his arm to the back of my chair. I’ve seen him do it before at other dinners, only not usually a chair I’m sitting in. His thumb rubs back and forth across my back.

Since he doesn’t say no, his dad smiles and nods.

My phone vibrates on the table a few seconds later. I drag it under the table, not in the mood for one of my mom’s lectures about devices ruining the world—it took until sixteen to convince her we needed more than a landline.

 Stay here tonight.

The corners of my mouth turn up as I read Knox’s message. I check across the table to our parents—his dad now writing the rest of Mom’s list on her other hand for her—then I glance at Knox. He slides his hand up my shorts under the table, and I push it away before answering him.

 It’s Sunday.

So? Another night in my bed with my cock inside you is better than a shitty cabin.

 “Knox,” Mom says, glancing up.

I sneak my phone back onto the table, and he looks up from his.

 “You need breakfast?”

He licks his lips and grins. “Already ate, Sidney.”

Under the table, he strokes his cock through his jeans, and I stifle a moan. I squeeze my thighs together and readjust in my chair, searching for relief of the sudden ache in my core. It doesn’t work, and I grab my phone, standing up.

“Get showered and changed, sweetheart,” my mom calls after me. “We’ll leave here in a bit.”

Glancing back, I nod at her, avoiding looking at Knox.

I sigh once I’m upstairs and find an outfit from my bag before making my way into the bathroom. As I strip out of my sleep clothes and panties, I trail up my inner thigh until my fingers drag through the wetness left from Knox’s mouth and cum. I regret having to shower. It feels like I’m washing him away.

When I step into the shower, I turn on the steam along with the water. Soon it billows out, filling the air around me. My mind wanders while I lather my body, and I catch myself wondering where Knox would go to school. I’ve overheard Brent say he’s been accepted to at least a half dozen colleges, but I couldn’t bring myself to ask which ones.

The hot water streams down over my head as I wash my hair, and I’m so lost in thought, I miss the shower door opening behind me.
