“Lick the head,” he ordered.
Walker stuck out his tongue and dipped it into the slit. Bitter salty taste filled his mouth. Above him, Mark hissed.
“More!”
Walker did as Mark demanded, licking over the head and around the glans until Mark groaned above him.
“Suck it. Just the head.”
Walker wrapped his hand around the shaft and sucked the head into his mouth. Mark appeared to lose the ability to give instructions, so Walker did what he wanted to, lapping down the shaft to suck lightly on his fuzzy balls and back up to the head. Walker sucked the head again and went deeper, gagging and pulling back. He knew Mark didn’t mind he couldn’t take his whole length. “What did you say?” Walker inquired.
“Shut up and go to sleep.”

Chapter 18
Six months later
"Tell me why you had to fall in love with him?"
Walker ground his teeth at Si's grouchy aside to Mark. He'd forgotten Mark had two clients this morning, and worse, one of them was Si. He’d come to meet Mark as he’d finished work early and ended up hiding in the small alcove in the waiting room to wait out the hour. He played on his phone as he waited. Mark had left his door open and Walker could hear everything they said, but he’d fazed it out until he heard Si's grumbling question.
Mark's rich chuckle warmed Walker's heart. "Because when he looks at me, I'm all he sees. Do you know what that feels like?"
"Well yeah."
Si couldn't have put more sarcasm into his voice if he tried. Walker frowned. He didn't like anyone talking to his man like that.
"Fuck you, Raines." Mark didn't sound bothered. "You asked. I told you."
"But why did it have to be one of them?"
Walker groaned inwardly. He and his former team were never going to be forgiven for the way they'd treated Jake. At least not by the diva team.
"I get it, Si. I really do. I'd have felt the same if anyone had bullied one of my team."
"Do you? Walker walks into my bar, and the next thing I know you tell me to fuck off and you're taking him home like a lost puppy."
"He traveled two thousand miles before he even spoke to me. He walked into your bar knowing the reception he'd get. He came for me." Mark sounded awed.
Walker snorted quietly. So much had happened since then he'd kinda forgotten that part.
Mark continued, unaware his lover was listening to every word. "I love him, Si. He wooed me, charmed me, gave me his—"
No, God, no. Please don't tell him that!
"Gave you his what?" Si asked, his curiosity piqued. "Gave you his—"
Walker heard what sounded like a slap.
"It doesn't matter," Mark said hastily. "And don't you dare ask him."
There was a muffled sound.
"Oh sorry. I forgot you had to breathe." Mark couldn't have sounded less apologetic if he tried.
"You're supposed to take care of me, not suffocate me," Si grumbled.
"Get dressed. You're fine. You only came over to be nosy."
"You really think I'm that shallow?"
"Si Raines, you're my best friend. I know you're just looking out for me."
Walker pulled a face. That was sweet, if really annoying. He wished he had a friend who was that concerned about his well-being.
"And you're really shallow," Mark finished.
"Yeah, yeah, I love you too, dickwad. I suppose you know what you're doing."
It sounded like the therapy was over. Walker prepared to flee the scene, not wanting to be caught eavesdropping.
"You know what, Si, I've got no idea what I'm doing. I'm forty years old and in a serious relationship for the first time in my life. I'm terrified I'm gonna fuck it up."
"The guy's stupid in love with you. Just keep telling him that, and you'll be fine."
Wow, Raines was more perceptive than Walker gave him credit for. Or maybe he was just stupid in love too.
"Thanks, Si."
Mark sounded all choked up. Walker desperately wanted to rush out and hold him, but he had to get away before they caught him.
"Love you too, dude. You wanna tell your boy he can come out now?"
Walker stiffened.
Mark poked his head around the door of the consulting room. "Hey, there."
Walker stared at him wide-eyed. "You knew I was here all the time?"
"I figured there were some things I needed to say, and you needed to hear."
"You could have said them to my face instead of him."
Mark shrugged. "There were some things he needed to hear too."
"Like I can't run you outta town," Si muttered as he joined Mark in the doorway.
"You can't run," Walker pointed out.
Si bared his teeth. "I can try."
Walker glared at him. Any warm and fuzzies he'd been feeling toward Raines were gone in an instant.
Mark rolled his eyes. "Down, guys. Friends, remember? Si, Walker is staying. Walker, Si is the best friend I've ever had. I want you two to get along."
From the dark expression on Si's face, Walker wasn't holding out any hope, but he'd gotten the answer to the most important question. Mark loved him. That was all he needed to know.
Mark walked over and Walker enfolded him in his arms. Mark buried his mouth against Walker's Adam’s apple and sucked on it lightly.
"Get a room, guys," Si said in a disgusted tone.
"This is my room," Mark pointed out. "Don't you have your own boy to harass?"
"Yeah, yeah. I'm gone."
Walker ignored him. He had his love in his arms and he was going to kiss him whether Raines was there to watch or not. Mark's lips parted eagerly under his. Walker couldn't help the moan that rumbled up from his chest.
