"Your point being?"
Walker grinned at the whine in Mark's voice. "Much as I love your public kink, baby, I'd like my first time on top to be private."
He didn't say he was nervous about taking control, he hoped Mark understood that.
Mark caressed his cheek. "Let's take this home, Walker. I want this time to be just us."
Walker leaned into his touch. "You know I don't mind if I never top."
"I do, but I trust you to take care of me."
Walker sucked in a breath. He really loved this man. The sheer volume of trust he offered Walker was unreal. Mark was dominant and caring enough to understand both their needs. He stepped back to allow Mark to lock up. Then they walked hand-in-hand around to Mark's—their—house.
Walker looked up at the two-story building. "I've never had a home of my own before. I lived in a trailer park as a kid, then on base in the military."
Mark nodded. "Me too. When I left the agency, I was determined to buy a place of my own. Somewhere I could call mine."
"Are you sure you want to share this with me?" Walker asked, nerves overwhelming him again.
Mark squeezed his hand. "I'm sure. You gave up your life to be with me, big guy. Now you have a warm and comfortable home to call your own.”
Walker bent to kiss the top of Mark's head. "I love coming home to you every evening."
They leaned together for a few minutes.
“Jamie called me,” Walker said. “She’s got work for me.”
It had taken a while for her to persuade the uncles to work with him. He’d been ridiculously excited to get her call.
Mark gave him a brilliant smile. "That’s great, Walker, but do you think we could talk about it later.”
Walker raised an eyebrow. “What do you have in mind?”
“I want you to take me inside and show me how pleased you are."
I can do this.
"You can do this," Mark murmured in his ear.
Walker gave him the side-eye. "You’re gonna have to tell me how to become a mind-reader."
"Neat trick, huh?"
"I hate you," Walker muttered.
"I know you do," Mark agreed and pulled him into the house.
Mark had asked, and Walker would obey because he would do anything for him. He was going to take his partner, the man who’d shown him what it was like to love a man and make love to him until they both forgot their name. At least, that was the theory. He might need a bit of practice first.
Mark stopped him outside the bedroom door and leaned in to brush his lips over Walker’s mouth. “It’s just you and us. Nothing else matters.”
Walker swept Mark into his arms. Mark gasped and hung on. Walker grinned. There had to be some advantage to being his size.
I can do this.
“We can do this,” Mark said as they went into the bedroom.
“Together,” Walker agreed and kicked the bedroom door shut.
