Keep My Heart : Top Shelf Romance #7(299)
Author: Lex Martin

“Put me down!”

“Not until you say the magic words,” I taunt as I carry her over to the fireplace.

“Fuck off, Travis?”

I smack my hand across her ass cheek, and she squeals. “That’s what you get for breaking the rules, princess.”

“What are you going to do about it?”

I lower her to the floor next to the fireplace and climb on top of her. “That smart mouth of yours is going to get you into trouble. Are you ready to pay the price?”

“Give me your best, King.”

“Carpet burn did look good on you, especially since I was the one who put it there.” I lower my mouth to her neck and kiss down the length of her jaw. She arches her back as I make my way down her chest and wrap my lips around her nipple. Her hands find my hair, and as she weaves her fingers through, I swirl my tongue around her other nipple and pull it into my mouth.

“God, yes!” she cries out, pushing her breast deeper into my mouth.

I lower my hand and slide a finger inside her once again. She clenches her pussy, and I slide another one inside. I love hearing her beg for it, and I don’t plan to stop until she does.

“Let me hear you, Viola,” I growl, rubbing the pad of my thumb against her clit as I push deeper inside. “I want to hear you beg for it.”

“I’m not begging for it. Move aside, and I’ll do it myself.” She shakes her hips, trying to get out of my grip.

“Defying me only makes me harder, princess.” I press my hips against hers as I grip my hand around her wrist, stopping her from going lower. “You should know that by now.”

“And you should know better than to deny me.” She bites her lower lip, and I know she’s enjoying teasing the hell out of me. She lowers her hand and palms my cock, but when I arch my hips into her, she stops me.

“Goddammit, Viola,” I hiss, pulling her bottom lip between my teeth. “You’re going to pay for that one.”

I grab both of her wrists and push them above her head. I part her legs with my knee, and once her legs wrap around my waist, I slide inside her. Her head falls back, and I thrust deeper, waiting to hear that throaty moan. Releasing her wrists, I wrap a hand around the back of her neck and pull her mouth to mine. She moans against my lips and my pace increases, feeling her clench around my cock as the intensity builds. The way her body responds to mine, and the way I can’t get enough of her, lets me know without a doubt that she was made for me, and I was made for her. Everything that happened between us has built up to moments just like this. Pure perfection.

Our bodies speak louder than our words ever could. “I can’t imagine what my life would be like without you in it.”

“It’d be dark, cold, and pointless,” she says, the corner of her lips tilting up.

“Always a smartass.”

“Always.”

“And I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love you, Viola Fisher.” I kiss her and don’t let go until her body gives in and she releases around my cock.

“I love you too, Travis King.” Her body shakes, and she screams, clawing her nails into my arms as she continues counting. And it’s the sweetest fucking sound in the entire world.

We end up huddled under a blanket, and when I wake up, Viola is sound asleep at my side. I decide to put a couple of logs on the fire, so the room heats up before she wakes up. I don’t plan to allow Viola to get dressed until we have to leave. This weekend is all about us, and I plan on taking full advantage.

I made sure the fridge and cupboards were stocked before we arrived. As I’m digging around for something to feed her, I feel her arms wrap around my waist. Turning around, I see she’s wrapped up in a blanket, her hair a wild mess, and her eyes glassed over.

“What are you doing?” she asks, looking up at me.

Wrapping my arms around her, I pull her body into mine and kiss the top of her nose. “Looking for something to make for you to eat. You’re going to need all the energy you can get.”

“Mm...so your master plan is to feed and fuck me all weekend?”

“Yes.” I smile. “Didn’t you get the memo?”

She chuckles and nods. “Better feed me good then.”

The next two days fly by, and as much as I miss Ginny, I wish we had more time. I devoured every inch of Viola on every surface of the cabin: the shower, kitchen counter, dining room table, and the hot tub.

“Well, I’d say we got our money’s worth,” Viola says as I carry the luggage to the door where she’s waiting for me.

“Considering we broke the bed in four places, I imagine they’ll be sending a bill.”

She chuckles at the memory, as I wrap my arm around her and kiss her once more before taking the luggage out to the car. She follows me out, looking more exhausted than when we arrived, but I know it was exactly what we both needed.

Once the luggage is packed and the car is loaded, I lean my back against the car and smile as she stands between my legs. This was a weekend I’ll never forget, and I can’t wait to marry her and make her my wife.

“This was a perfect weekend,” she says, resting her head against my chest.

“It really was,” I agree. “However, I think we can top it on the honeymoon.”

“Yeah?”

I nod in certainty. “Mile high club. Sex on the beach. Sex in the ocean. Sex in an old church.”

“A church?” she exclaims, narrowing her eyes at me in disapproval.

“Why not? It’s our honeymoon.” I shrug casually. “Speaking of...are we going to set a date soon? Now that the firm is up and running, and Ginny is getting bigger, I think it’s time. Don’t you?”

She looks up at me and pulls her lips into her mouth, and I worry I’ve said the wrong thing. I study her face and see concern written all over, and immediately think the worst.

“Have you changed your mind?”

“No! Nothing like that,” she says. “I love you, and of course I want to marry you.”

“Then what is it?” I brush a strand of hair off her face, and she shivers.

“Well…” She takes a deep breath. “How do you feel about planning it nine months out?”

“I would marry you tomorrow if I could, but I want to give you the wedding of your dreams, so whether it’s a month from now or nine, I’m all in.”

“Good.” She smiles. “Because in nine months, we’ll have our hands pretty full.”

I narrow my eyes as I notice the glow on her cheek, and it finally hits me.

Ho-ly shit.

ONE YEAR LATER

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, lived a young princess who awaited a prince who would give her everything she ever dreamed of…love, passion, loyalty. He’d be the sweetest, kindest, most heartwarming gentleman a girl could ever ask for. And he’d be perfect.

…And he is. Travis King, my prince charming.

I can hardly believe it’s here.

But here we are, just two weeks until we say I do.

It’s been almost two years since Travis proposed, and only three months since the arrival of baby James. Yes, we continued with our theme, even if Travis really pushed for a name from Bridget Jones. He’s never winning that battle.
