Breaking the Rules (The Triskelion Series, #1)(20)
Author: Jodi Payne

“That depends on what happens—sometimes I go spend the night in their guest room, sometimes I sleep at the shop, sometimes I come home.” It all hinged on Geoff, really. If Geoff was mellow, he went to their place. If Geoff needed, he stayed at the shop or went home, depending on whether he could drive.

Saul looked at him, confused. “That’s it? You just go to sleep?”

“What else could there be with Geoff?” Geoff was his friend, helped him out, but Geoff had Carter, and most of the time, Geoff headed home to get what he needed.

“Right, right. Of course.” Saul climbed off him and settled in the pillows. “Can I hold you?”

“I’d like that.” He moved over, finding the places where they fit together.

“Comfy?”

He nodded and Saul tucked an arm around him, making it that much better.

“I don’t have a regular sub anymore. I have a couple of friends that I work with once in a while who don’t have Doms, and that’s been okay, but it seems like it’s better for them than it is for me. I’m not getting a lot of what I need out of that.”

He closed his eyes, drawing circles on Saul’s chest. “What do you need? What are you into?”

Maybe it was his turn to ask the questions.

“Well I get the power exchange stuff from them. Khloe is really into bondage and spanking and those are big turn-ons, and Brant is more of a deprivation guy. That’s all good, I get a workout I guess, skills practice, but I don’t often get the high, you know? I need more of that. And I don’t get the service.”

“Oh, I understand that. The care, the…” Troy searched for what he wanted to say because it was important to him, not to put words in Saul’s mouth. “It’s hard when you need someone’s real submission, I imagine.”

“Yeah.” He felt Saul’s chest rise and fall with a sigh. “They’re submitting, but they’re not… mine.”

“Yes.” He nodded, and the action slid his face against Saul’s chest. “I do understand, at least somewhat. I can submit, but it doesn’t matter to anyone.”

“It would matter to me.” The arm around him tightened just slightly. “If you’re interested.”

“I am.” Well, damn. Look at him, reaching for what he wanted. Arnie would be proud.

“That’s… I’m—what’s the right thing to say?” Saul laughed softly. “Thank you? I’m happy you agreed. And honored. I didn’t actually plan to ask so soon, but it felt right.”

“Thank you for asking.” Geoff was going to rag his ass, no question, but he felt confident in his answer.

Saul kissed his head. “How deep do you want? I guess that’s a question we should think about, right? Do you just want to scene together or do you want to—well. I guess don’t have to hash it all out in the middle of the night.”

“True. We can talk over a lazy breakfast, maybe? I—” He took a deep breath. “I like you. A lot. I’m nervous and excited and there’s a huge part of me that’s asking thousands of questions.”

He felt young and inexperienced again, which he wasn’t.

Saul tucked a finger under his chin and lifted his face so their eyes met. “I like you a lot too, Troy. You’re fascinating. You’re beautiful. I’ve never been with anyone like you. I want to answer all of your questions, but honestly I’m nervous about whether you’ll like the answers.” Saul took a light kiss. “Maybe some sleep and some coffee will help us both breathe easier.”

“It will.” Sleep. Coffee.

Hell, he’d even bought the stuff to make French toast, just in case.

Saul shuffled out of the bathroom headed for the warmth of Troy’s bed, but those windows and that view distracted him, and he ended up torn between the two. He and Troy had missed most of the sunrise, though they hadn’t slept through it. Saul just couldn’t keep his hands off his new lover. Despite the second round of fucking at some dark hour, they’d been distracted by lazy blow jobs in the middle of Mother Nature’s early morning show.

He wasn’t disappointed, and he was fairly sure there’d be plenty more opportunities in his future.

He was pretty sure it was still morning, though he hadn’t checked the time, and he hadn’t checked his phone for texts, either. He just didn’t give a damn about anything right now but the view… the one out the window and the one in that bed.

He was slightly distracted by whether it had been a good idea to ask Troy to sub for him in a haze of lust and hormones, but Troy hadn’t said no, and they still had a ton of talking to do about it. He wasn’t worried. Maybe just a little bemused.

Troy moaned softly, stretching tall in the bed. “Mmm… Mornin’.”

Troy slid out of the sheets and padded to the bathroom to do his business. When he reappeared, Troy unrolled a yoga mat, offering him a lazy smile. “You mind if I get a little stretching in?”

“Not if you mind if I watch. Closely.” Because what a sight this was going to be. His balls ached just thinking about it.

“Not at all.” Troy stretched up tall before folding himself in half. Saul watched, dry-mouthed, as Troy moved. At one point, Troy went wide-legged and bent forward, resting his head on the floor. Uhn.

Saul thought about joining in but watching was way more fun. Troy’s flexibility was something to be remembered, and he was so graceful. Just one more thing to be fascinated by.

“I like that position. I think I’ll file it away for later use.”

Troy chuckled and slowly stood. “I do love how the morning stretch keeps me loose.”

“I’m a fan.” He grinned wickedly, hoping to see that ginger blush. “All those toys don’t seem to work as well. You felt pretty tight to me.”

There it went—a lovely, dark, rosy blush flooding his boy as those green eyes went wide. “Well, thank God for that, right?”

“Yep.” Something that sweet deserved a kiss. His fingers were itching to touch anyway. He moved in close and made sure it was a heavy one, something to make Troy’s knees weak.

Troy stepped into him, bringing their bodies together with a soft, low sigh. “Damn.”

“Mhm. I could watch you stretch all day.” He could. “Did you get enough rest?”

“I did. I feel energized today. You?” Troy touched him like he was fascinating, fingers dragging along his body and exploring.

“I feel amazing, thank you.” His stomach growled toward the end of that statement and he laughed. “And hungry I guess.”

“Good thing I know a short order cook. What’s your pleasure?”

He gave Troy a quick peck and headed for the stairs in search of his boxers. All his clothes were still in the living room. “Whatever you’ve got. I like food. And coffee.”

Troy tossed him a terrycloth robe before pulling on a pair of ancient shorts. “I’ll make coffee and get breakfast started.”

“Hey, thanks.” The robe was comfortable and soft, but better than that it smelled like Troy. It was a little bit of a stretch to keep it closed, but it would work. “I’m not useless, I—”
